After discovering that my previous rollcage was unsafe over a year ago, I knew I had to take it somewhere reputable to get a new one put it. I got put on to Jamie at Must Weld Motorsport by a load of guys on some track pages and gave him a ring to book in the Cupra for a new cage. We decided to throw some extras on there and change the cage up a little from last time, besides actually being welded properly. Anyway, stoked the car is home and safe now, and I'm super happy with how the cage came out and how well it's been done.

New cage looks so good with the cross braces, deffo give it a protective clear coat to keep that raw feel

I had an arosa 1.0 before I brought a cupra and the back seats are pretty much useless anyway haha
Only thing I left in my lupo was the front seats and dash, done 30k miles in it scraping off the ground, good times !!

I tend to sand back then red oxide for all my metal work mate and that seems to work well, cage is looking dope af may I add 🤙🏼

Cage looks a lot better this time. Personally I like the look of a raw metal cage because it makes it feel more like a racecar but that’s just my opinion. Loving the videos 👍

Nice cage love it! I would sand the floors, rust treat any areas you find then etch prime the floors to keep rust at bay, then do the colour over the top... I would maybe stonechip paint the inner floors its nice and hard wearing. Great video.

Jamie did a very similar cage, seat rails and other bits in my Almera track car, he's a top lad who takes pride in his work, can't fault any of the work he did for me ✌️
Your cage looks smart and seat rails so much safer now. To answer your questions, grind the rust back, use converter (Kurust or similar) etch Primer and paint the floor. Clear coat the cage, looks so smart raw!

Good lord, it’s John again! looks and speaks at the same speed as him. So many casual digs given too😂. Cage looks mint, should paint it metallic black and add red fleck into it. Think you should get a proper shifter setup in there with a red ball ontop to match the exterior paint also!

Josh mate, the coop is sounding Spicy as hell!! The cage is looking dope too. It's a lot safer, and more professional than the other one bud! I think you should keep it raw. I just love the color variations in the metal caused by the heating during the welding process!!

Cage is sick, looks sturdy and gussetts are sick! I'd paint it or at least clear coat it so you don't end up with surface rust and discolouring! Sick race cooooooor
I like the cage I’m stoked your still making videos but personally I’d paint the cage and put a clear vinyl over it like lz does it makes it look hella clean but whatever you decide to do is tight
