If you do $5 profit an item, it’s around $25/hr, I think it’s possible to average $20 profit per item if your business is 30 items or less, that’d be $100/hr, but it caps out bc you can’t find more than 210 $20+ profit items and list them each week. That’s why I consider $20+ profit a “grail,” bc it’s very difficult to actually order grails online without going out and finding that treasure yourself. This is based on an average of 6 minutes per item, in this video, it only takes me 4 minutes, and 3 minutes is the absolute fastest @technsports. That’s years of research right there, so smash the like button and subscribe and join our group. Thanks! Https://www.patreon.com/theresellerspodcast I’m assuming you can find 10 items an hour that are $5-$20 treasure hunting each week. The absolute top solo business imo is 30x$20 items, 7 days a week and it could be done in 90 minutes of processing daily and 20 hours of hunting each week. That’s $4200 profit a week and $140/hr in just 30 hours total a week of expert sourcing and processing. That’s the “easiest” model with the most money, just my 2 cents. If you’re super lazy and don’t want to work very much, you’d just do @technsports model, work 3 months to make $52k and take 9 months off.
This is what reselling looks like, it’s not that glamorous. It’s work, but if you learn how to do it, you can get it done quickly and get back to treasure hunting, which is what people like to do 😃
Holy shit… I’ve been watching every single video of yours for the past 2 months, including the morning call with others in your group. This video has connected all your processes and how to be the most optimal. As a college student that also has a part time job and wants to do eBay as a hobby (list 10 item/day) for years to come, this has shed a new light on staying consistent and being most efficient. I’m a business student and your channel is giving me a hands on look into the business world. Thank you for showing me this! I have to give you a massive shout out! The systems you encourage people to follow are great, although I gain greater personal benefit from your attitude. That sets the stage every time for me to be productive - the right attitude. "I don't go to FB groups and whine about an eBay issue" just work around it, pause and move on or wait a few seconds! Great advice. I have stopped watching a major number of youtube ebayers simply because they complain all the time about ebay and it gets depressing, you on the other hand put the responsibility right back into our hands to succeed, thanks.
The RUclips folks that get on here and complain about eBay issues are not really in the resale business anymore. They’re now in the content/RUclips money business.

Love this!! Edit: Thinking about this more, I just need to get everything in place. Right now I can't do this, but I have started getting things organized. Moving to the sequential inventory system, getting a vertical photo booth setup. I'm placing all my stations right next to each other. It doesn't look like I'm going to need much of it to be in a good place. I'm working out of 2 locations as well so I'm working toward only working from the location away from my house. I'm going to go to bed earlier, get up earlier, work out, get into remote location, fulfill all orders, customer service, pictures, list my 10 items, done. and be disciplined enough not to touch it again till the next morning!!! Incredibly useful and inspiring video! Your process is very similar to mine. The only thing I'd recommend is that you add an external monitor so you have two screens to work from - one for the photos, and one for the listing page. Putting the screen at eye level or slightly above eye level will help with your posture and reduce eye strain, as well. Thanks again for the inspiration 👍
do you have a video on how you created your lighting system? I have a limited space and Im tired of taking my lights up and down every day bc they just take up so much space. I have been listing all morning while listening to you in the background! Thanks.
Have you considered a touchscreen monitor/laptop? It should further speed up your process since clicking on things would be instant vs having to drag the mouse. I think you may find it useful.😀
I enjoyed this video! I’m about to go do 10 items and see where I get. I’d be perfectly fine with just photographing and listing 10 in an hour consistently. My customer service, picking and shipping is almost identical to yours (I ship in bulk). I’m longer doing photos though not much longer. I’ve never just taken 10 and listed 10 back to back. Let you know how it goes in the morning call today. Should be done before then. 😁
Awesome stuff! You're a few minutes faster than me, but that's just because I have to list more stuff out to get a sale. Still getting about a 100 or so an hour. I'm so much faster now than I used to be, it's all about building a process!
Outside the process you show in this video, how much time do you spend organizing and prepping clothes for photographing them...washing, drying, de-wrinkling, etc.?
So say you pull item 9578.. Could you not just remove the item from the bag you have it stored in with the number on the front and ship it in the poly mailer. Then reuse the 9578 bag for a newly listed item? Or would you not recommend that for any specific reason(s)?
Great video, and you make it looks smooth. My biggest time monster is the pics and listing on the eBay app. I’ll try the photos on the phone and airdrop to Mac method. Thanks!
After watching this I realize I need to peel the labels off the rolo instead of using the cutter then peeling. I know its not huge but that will save 1-2 seconds per order. Thanks for the extra several hours per month you just saved me!
When you list a pair of jeans for example, do you show the tag with the actual measurements as well or just your photos with the measurements, do you find a big difference in the measurements.
Crazy story... I used to show the tag measurment until I went to a Tractor Supply and the cashier and I got into a conversation about jeans.. have no idea how, but... she used to work at one of the big name brand factories. She was telling me the reason jeans fit in different ways is because when they cut them it is a stack of material that the cutter does at one time. She said when the cutter comes down the material on top starts as a true fit and the bottom is always a slightly bigger fit. I am assuming this may be true for all materials whether jeans, shirts, etc. After that I started measuring and showing the measurement with the tape in photos.

Should i look at using the computer as i scale? i have done over 60k gross already.
Great content! I need to improve my photo process. I don't have Apple but PC computers. Do you have a video the focuses just on the photo process? I waste a lot of time having to adjust the light on my photos, even though i have an excellent photo booth and lights. AirDrop looks awesome.

I assume that you attach your item number after your photo shoot. I am wondering if the label is what you attach at the end and then photo that with one last picture before you put it in the bag. So do you put the inventory picture in the post too? How in your inventory do you attach the number to the item description in your process?
Good stuff. After a hiatus of 2-3 months, I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things soon. Main concern I have with clothes are you seem to only do waist, inseam, and maybe outseam for pants. And maybe width/length for shirts/tops. Do you get a lot of questions in regards to sleeve lengths, pant rise, etc.? I might be overstressing things, but I will normally try to get most of the various measurements. But if I'm able to get away with less than that, I will definitely consider it.
Another detail about Chris' measurement process: in other videos I have seen him say he does the standard measures you see here, and if in the customer service portion of the video people ask for additional measurements, he replies politely, that he is unable to give additional measurements, but that he does accept returns for any reason so they can return if they do not fit.
@@WholeFoodSpark Hmmm...Have been overkilling it I guess: Waist, hips, front/rear rise, thigh, inseam, outseam, and cuff for pants. Width, front/back length, collar if button type, sleeve, cuff, bottom, and maybe waist if a dress for tops. But if I can get away with less, will start doing that, heh.
I have a very limited sense of smell and when dealing with obviously used clothing, sometimes you get more than you bargain for. I store my items (not in bags) in crates with a bar of soap. Have you had any issues with smells being contained within the sealed bags. I'm assuming you don't wash everything you buy, or maybe you do?
That's what I thought. But isn't it auto-printing out? How is that happening? I use Dymo to label my product, but I have to "enter" that into the Dymo. Efficiency, speed in listing please. @@dailyrefinement
Love your videos, I just started doing ebay yay. I would love to have a computer in my storage unit as well and have built-in internet in the laptop.. does you storage have electricity ?
So you send the item out in the grip seal bag and with your inventory number on. Does that mean when you list you just go up to the next number instead of reusing numbers or is there a process where you keep track of which numbers are now used and re-use them? I have just switched to your inventory system and want to make sure that I don’t miss any steps as I am beyond fed up of doing stock takes.
I was wondering as well. I have all my clothing items in totes and sometimes the tags get hidden under the clothes and I have adjust the item in the bag to find the tag. I was thinking that method might save me time with the clothing items I sell. It could also free up some shelf space as I have 3 -6 totes each of girls, men's and women's clothes and 1 tote of boys clothes. So if I went to boxes like this, it could help.
I love your RUclips and I subscribed for the patrion, but I have not received an email or anything thing to show me how to watch it. It been two weeks. Am I doing something wrong?
Great work on this video. Well put together! I'm definitely going to time my entire process and see how long it takes me! What sucks is this doesn't include the product sourcing which is the longest part for me.
Just an observation but if you bend your elbow a little bit more inwards when you're pulling off the tape you can finally shave off another half a second. You're welcome
@@dailyrefinement all joking aside I was doing 6 to 700 a week Uber eats and doordash I started doing your 10 items for $10 model and I am literally loving my life I can't thank you enough
My problem is not listing enough, my problem is finding enough items to sell. 18 Listings a day, it gets harder to find items the higher your listing goals (if you don't do clothing I mean)
Do you pick your items in reverse of ebay sales? So they will be in order for the shipping? I think I missed that part, or how did you have all the items in order and that smooth? lol
I was wondering if we could have a referral for the accountant you mentioned in your Facebook group. We would be interested in paying for some of her time to pick her brain as we get started setting up our LLC.
Thanks,I will probably join your Patreon Can one join if a complete beginner or do you need to be established? I have already began sourcing used items. The only comment I want to make is that your stuff seems easy to pack. What about items like fine china that require wrapping, box-in-box, taping, etc. Does that impact your time negatively from start to finish?
How long should people spend on editing photos? I take no time at all removing backgrounds quickly using photoroom, removing backgrounds for 10 items at a time. Is this fine?
Okay so I'm a newbie and apparently I'm adding a bunch of steps. I record each sell. I have an inventory spreadsheet and I record it sold on there. And then I have a separate spreadsheet to record the sells on each platform. So I am recording the sales as I go so that way I can keep track. . Apparently I'm doing everything wrong what is the best way to keep track at the inventory do you delete it out of your inventory if so when and do you keep track of each platform sales on a spreadsheet? Yes I'm apparently making this too hard adding a necessary steps. But i want to ensure im tracking properly im confused on how to save sime yet be organized

But if I can get away with less, will start doing that, heh.
@@prosperousutensil8178 Yeah, remember that one. Thought that was back when he was mostly doing shoes though.
After the pictures, what is that label to the right you are putting on item?
My sku
That's what I thought. But isn't it auto-printing out? How is that happening? I use Dymo to label my product, but I have to "enter" that into the Dymo. Efficiency, speed in listing please. @@dailyrefinement
Why AirDrop instead of letting the pictures sync with iCloud and the Photos app on the Mac?
Love your videos, I just started doing ebay yay. I would love to have a computer in my storage unit as well and have built-in internet in the laptop.. does you storage have electricity ?
So you send the item out in the grip seal bag and with your inventory number on. Does that mean when you list you just go up to the next number instead of reusing numbers or is there a process where you keep track of which numbers are now used and re-use them? I have just switched to your inventory system and want to make sure that I don’t miss any steps as I am beyond fed up of doing stock takes.
He doesn't reuse numbers he just keeps going up. He has a video explaining the whole thing a couple of months back I think.
@@DonPepilio Thanks, I will have to find that video
@@DonPepilio I will have to go back through and see. I thought I seen a video before about it, but I watch so many videos I could not remember.
That part!!
I need to get faster listing on the computer. I can list 10 in an hour on the phone vs 5 on the computer
I love your RUclips and I subscribed for the patrion, but I have not received an email or anything thing to show me how to watch it. It been two weeks. Am I doing something wrong?
bit.ly/TRPGuide for instructions
Is your desk a husky shelf?
Yes
Good stuff
What size boxes are you using for storing your items on the shelves?
30x8x8
Do you have a recommendation for a phone lanyard? Or does anyone else? Much appreciated!
Never mind, just got to the part of the video where you recommend it. 👍
I do at bit.ly/resellersupplies
Great work on this video. Well put together! I'm definitely going to time my entire process and see how long it takes me! What sucks is this doesn't include the product sourcing which is the longest part for me.
Just an observation but if you bend your elbow a little bit more inwards when you're pulling off the tape you can finally shave off another half a second. You're welcome
Thank You!
@@dailyrefinement all joking aside I was doing 6 to 700 a week Uber eats and doordash I started doing your 10 items for $10 model and I am literally loving my life I can't thank you enough
How do you see custom skew in the ebay app?
Do you have ebay send automatic payment reminders before sending the invoices?
No
My problem is not listing enough, my problem is finding enough items to sell. 18 Listings a day, it gets harder to find items the higher your listing goals (if you don't do clothing I mean)
What do you sell? I have 50 million items. I can source easily 💁🏾♀️. It just takes me forever to org and list! 😫😫😫😫
Where's the link for the full video?
This is the full video
Might be a dumb question but do you wash your clothes?
You mentioned you did a shipping discount when they ask for a partial refund can you explain why you did it that way?
I offer $1.99 for each additional item
Is there a best time of the day to post your items?
Yes we go over that in the group
What’s the name of your background, I see that the clothes sticks to it!!!
She has paid time in the group, Cheryl miller
An intent to buy. 🤣🤣 this guy and his dad jokes.
Wait you sold in 6 categories? So did you have a niche? Was clothing your niche?
What is the reason for partial refunds to customers?
Are you washing and pressing all of the items before you start taking pictures?
Could anyone pls tell me which app he recommends using instead of the ebay app? I can't understand what he says :( thank you
What is the avg daily listing count?
Where do you get yoir item to sell
How do you run electric in storage?
Hi I never know how to send offers I think it’s a hugh glitch I have had for months ahhhhh
