I was a commercial lender for 12 years and have a bachelors in business. This literally made my heart so happy. It is so scary how many business people don’t get the concept or are constantly shooting from the hip. You also explained this so much better than any other way I have heard. No lie 😂

I am such an undisciplined seller, I have used it to live at poverty level. But I am a great seller who has great reviews and puts 100% in to what little I do. Listening to you has created in me a desire use my whole potential. I have started sourcing very differently since I have listened to half a dozen of your videos, and I am almost (almost) to the place where I list what I bring home right then. The death pile is over half gone, mostly donated, because I'm seeing a bigger picture. You have admirable discipline and I want to be you when I grow up. Commencing now.

It's a marathon not a sprint
I've rewatched this multiple times because unfortunately I'm that guy that needs to hear it multiple times for it to sink in. I've been reselling for about a year now as a side gig. Hoping to turn it into a full-time thing after my military service is up. I started off way wrong and have spent money out of pocket and very much over sourced. I think I've started to get a good handle on what to buy and what to leave. But now I need to stop all of the buying and pay my penance for the stupid things I've done to get this started. I'm in that place right now where nobody in my life believes I can make this happen and my wife in particular is very unhappy with the personal money spent. This will be a lonely road but your videos and others like you help keep me pushing forward. I will continue to do the best that I can until I know better and then I will do better. Thank you for all that you do Tech.

Hi Tech! I have to come back here to say Thank you for saying this line “Don’t wait to list. List and wait”. I’m not sure if this was the video that you said that in or the ones after but that line made a residence in my head. I have one main job and two side hustles and reselling is one of them. I source 3-4x a week and find a lot of inventory but I’ve been falling behind on listing and not listing fast enough. But I buckled down and started listing between 3-12 items a day and things been selling and I’ve gotten a lot more traffic in my store. I’m not complaining about lack of sales. I’m a humble seller and pretty happy with the extra money I make. My goal these next months and this month is to make 1k/month! Yay!

I am in the "buying stuff that takes too long to sell" group. I've started working on that recently and have been leaving stuff behind that I would have purchased in the past.
That's a great first step. Sell through is king. Study up on the brands, study up on the nuance, the keywords, price points that turn 6+ month sell through items into items that have a chance of selling today

I have been running my eBay business for 4 years and full time for 2 years.
Since I live in a very small village in Germany, my business model is online arbitrage with only new goods.
My problem has always been that when I find a very good deal, I immediately buy a large number of items, as I also completely buy up many price error deals.
It takes a correspondingly long time until I get the capital I invested back.
I definitely have to be a little more careful here in the future, otherwise I'll soon be broke.
In fact, from the end of January this year, I'm starting a 3.5 year part-time training course, 2 evenings a week, as a state-certified business economist. - completely free here in Germany.
I look forward to more exciting videos and inspiration from you.

Holy information batman. This episode makes me want to cry. Because I started out in storage unit auctions. 20% of them are good......80% are hell. I had some really good items but it drained me a little. I was broke and couldn't figure out why. (Inventory poor)
I started watching people flip on yt. Ultimately I came across tech. I sell good items (3 out of 4 I'd guess) and still I'm not saving big. I get amped and buy buy buy. Things I buy pile on storage unit items.
I need to keep taking a bite of that elephant. One bite at a time. Tonight I'm getting my photo area for clothing done. I bet I've got 300 items to list just for that.

I feel like im doing pretty well (i hope) i started a month ago (part time i work at ups full time) and i have listed 100 items my first month and have sold 24 of them for $1k. Hopefully i can keep it up!
I'm curious is ebay kind of pushes a new seller a bit to give them a bit of a bug to keep using their platform 🤔
some people speculate this, but there's no proof
I'm in extreme grow mode but only for a few months. My average net is 15. Average cost is about 3. I'm banking about 2 bucks per item so still profitable. But the rest is put back in. Once I reach my desired inventory level I'll bank more. It's a small store I do part time

It's not as easy as it looks
There’s a certain RUclips reseller who recently started trying to make money off of your concept, but they are trying to pass it off as their own idea. They have repeatedly said that they created it, but as soon as I heard them talking about it I knew they were ripping off your stuff.
That's how it goes. Good amount of them out there. They were in the group in the past, some of them have been removed from the group, etc.
Can't bamboozle people forever. You need results too, not declining 90 day totals.

Tech, thank you so much for this information, and freely sharing your knowledge ❤ I'm wondering about sell-throuh rate as there seems to be two kinds: item STR and store STR (which you refer to in this video. Can you tell us how to work out our store STR, please? I don't think ebay shows this on the Performance page. So for example, if I have a new store and built up 100 items in it and have sold 25 in the first 30 days, what is my store's STR?
it would have a 25% sell through for 30 days & a 75% sell through for 90 days

Hi Tecb Great video! This is all relevant to have those items you purchase for $5 sell in a short period of time. Besides this could you do ro maybe you have how to get these items to sell to get the rolling savings affect in your bank account as you are explaining in the video. A person can add item, but if they do not sell, that person is going to have a problem making money.
Of course. We shouldn't be in the storage business. If you want to find $5 items watch my other items. I rarely pay more than that

Oh man. This was a great video. Watching your videos and I’m so grateful. I’m only 2 months in and I’ve been doing it wrong (spending all my weekly income back on product vs only spending my initial investment plus one and saving the rest) I’ve been wondering when the time comes to start saving…I thought I had to build up my sales to 10 a day before I could start saving (which seems like a lifetime away ha). I definitely need to join the group. I don’t have an eBay store yet…just have been listing under my eBay profile. Can I join if I don’t have an eBay store yet? One of the best things I've done over the last 18 months was create a spreadsheet where I input all my solds & calculate all my #'s. I clearly see my averages & net profit for each item. Definitely gotta work on increasing my margins.

I have been watching lots of your videos and have listened to your podcast for quite awhile. I very much appreciate you helping the rest of us learn how to be successful.
This video is incredible but it hurts my little brain trying to truly grasp it.. lol I’m going to watch it over and over until the lightbulb goes off. lol
Here are my questions. I’m going to use the $20 return as my model going forward. For items that I’ve sold that didn’t make the $20 profit, can I still use my initial cost of goods to roll over towards a new product? On the other side of the coin, if an item sells for over my $20 goal, ( say my return was $37) do I use the $17 to purchase more items, as long as I put $20 in the bank?
I know this is rambling and I apologize, but that’s what isn’t completely clear for me as of now.

You can but you need to sell more than 1 item to drop moeny in all the buckets we mentioned at the amount we mentioned
If you sell one for more profit, then you put more money into the buckets.
