Does the met use unmarked cars for regular patrol or is it all special assignments?

They do use unmarked vehicles for standard patrol, though it is usually traffic enforcement.

They have unmarked vehicles for a lot of, firearms , CTSFO , covert policing , response , traffic. Could name a lot more , they all have different assigned roles
