This was without doubt one of the biggest pieces of advice I was given as a young artist. Going with what your brain thinks things look like instead of the image you see in front of you can be the downfall of a realistic looking drawing, so let's take a look at what we can actually see in this drawing.

Really helpful, thank you. You explain so well, Always so clear and perfectly paced. Thank you so much for sharing your learning and skill.
Thanks 🙏🏽 a lot for valuable explanation
It's almost like in order to draw in 3D you need to be able to see in 2D and see objects objectively
Thankyou for your tips this is very helpful for someone who wants to learn color pencils and someone who doesn't know where to start. All the love from the Philippines.
Full of useful info. Thank you.
Fabulous art and advice thankyou 😊
Thanks Gemma.....interesting video 👍
Such great advice. I wish i knew this years ago
fabulous Gemma!
fabulous ..........plz tell us how to frame scenery etc
Hi Gemma, I’m wondering when you do the grid method of drawing how do you do the grid on the picture on the I pad?
also how to mix pencil colours , blend , how to shades etc etc
How do you mark te colours in the cirkels. On a pc? and do you pick up the color in the drawing an place it in a cirkle?
yes, I just used it to show the colour I'm seeing. The colour was picked out of the reference photo with the dropper. You can also use a colour pencil picker app like the one I used here: ruclips.net/video/allr63GNyfw/видео.html
CAN YOU DO THE SAME PROCESS BUT WITH A ANOTHER DETAILED DRAWING. I can never draw supper detailed things bc there’s just so much that I can’t just stick to one thing.
I'll try and make another next time there's a gap in my schedule! Have you tried the free premium tutorial on my website? It goes into loads of detail for a full real-time drawing
@@GemmaChambersArt I would love too! I ask my mom to pay the 6 dollars for the patreon. She said she's going to but i doubt it😭... I can't seem to find the free prenium tutorials. Also thank u!!
