I was very tentative on tackling this job until clarity on removal and re-assembly gave me the confidence to attempt. Thank you very much as my local shop wanted $278 to fix. I bought the switch for $42 brand new!
Hi I'm having an issue with the blinker not flashing in the rear. They flash in the front and on the side panel. Also brake light is on but when pressed doesn't laminate brighter? Same fix
First replace or check your rear bulb. If that's not it then it may be the wire connector to the rear lights, or a wire issue. I've seen the connector right before the bulbs get weathered from moisture.
i have the same issue on my malibu 2009 did you ever find out what was the problem ? I cant find out whats wrong whith mine same problem blinkers work up front but on the rear they just wont work plus the brake light
Watch this only to replace the switch. The rest is incorrect. First, he put the top insides back together wrong. The top black holder is upside down in this video. Second, all you actually need to do is turn the bottom steel band around 180° (don't flip over). This brings back the strength so the signal turns off after a turn. Color on electrical connections or fuses is not dirt, it's normal from the heat. If you do clean the connection on the bottom mother board, don't use foil! 🤦♀️ Use electrical cleaner or rubbing alcohol!
