Y'all know this is just my opinion, right?
Just a note: I think I falsely state in the review that Reba Meyers played bass on this record. Not the case. She played guitar.
nice thank i cumed pant
EVRYTHING U SAY IS WRONG!!!!!
theneedledrop gorillaz single
"bassist Reba Meyers" you dun goofed melon man decent to strong 4 on this review
not a real fan
Why the fuck didn't you say "Forever .... forever" I only watched for it to happen!
I was about to post the same comment.
THIS THO
bad hair .day Maybe he knew that would be weird and decided attacking Cory Booker would be better instead.
EXACTLY what i was waiting for
him not saying it has been fucking with my OCD. I hope someone hijacks a train and runs it right into my room I don't want to live anymore
Code Orange - Forever, forever.
code orange are probably the only band who got better after signing to Roadrunner
agreed, lol!
Recently, maybe. But Sepultura, Slipknot and KsE?
uhhhhhh Gojira?
Turnstile
Rain when did they sign to roadrunner? Because their last couple of albums were terrible
Wow Anthony you're really getting these reviews out. Keep it comin
that's what i do
theneedledrop what a cutie
theneedledrop you replied :) made my day, keep it up
I came here for the outro: "Code Orange Forever....forever"
Was disappointed.
The outtro was hilarious, but I'm sorta disappointed we didn't get a normal outtro this video. I was waiting for Fantano to say "Code Orange, Forever.. Forever"
Positive review for a metacore record? What the hell?
he gave awlwlb a good review
Whats wrong with music being melodic?
When people say metalcore they generally aren't referring to the original conception of the term/genre. Metalcore has come to refer to bands like Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, etc. There are great differences between early metalcore and what is referred to as modern metalcore. They are essentially two different or varied genres with the same name. Both versions of metalcore are generally metal mixed with punk, each with varying degrees of success, and styles. The word metalcore describes each style aptly but for different reasons.
I don't know Whatever dude I don't think you understand Anthony's scoring system 8 isn't mediocre it's a great score 6-7 is mediocre
I would say Killswitch's AOJB stayed within the lines of traditional metalcore, but agree that after that they went a more casual approach. Totally agree with the rest of your comment though. In the mid 2000s the defining sound of the genre totally changed for more casual approach.
Reba plays guitar.
i know. i misspoke.
you replied. holy shit. I can die happy.
gay
She started out in code orange on bass tho
God Damn am i glad to see watermelon boy liked this album.
code orange sounds like the secret service codename for Trump
Codthony Orantano Here....I tried
A- for effort
Ithony triedtano here...
Brian P fuck..
that was good
real good..
holy shit i was expecting like a 4 or something
its a good album trying to be different in fuckin hardcore (i love that genre)
I am actually surprised you gave this an 8. I was expecting a light 6. I enjoyed the record too I just expected you to basically have the same complaints from their last one and whole new ones. Glad you liked it Codethony Orangetano!
I think this album is a lot more hardcore than it is metalcore
you are right sir they dont sound metalcore at all too me
@@ringsofinfant5707 lol they use clean vocals, Groove drums and even metal riffs in the guitars(reminds me nu -metal lol)
i mean they're not remotely metal core this album is the epitome of a modern hardcore record
It’s more metallic hardcore like Converge, Earth Crisis and debatably Botch
They do have some old school metalcore elements
Saw the album title and was hoping you'd do your outro guitar riff when you said "Forever".
I remember when they were called Code Orange Kids.
COK isn't a great acronym though.
I really hoped he'd say "Code Orange forever" at the end... Well, I guess life's unfair
codethony orangetano
I love Reba Meyers
Dream2 was def a weird closer but my vote went from an 8 to a 9 when I found out it loops perfectly into Forever, making the album a nonstop loop. Really interesting move on their part, kinda like how Spirit Phone by Lemon Demon was a perfect never ending loop. Glad you enjoyed this record as much as I did though. Definitely way more impressive than IAK. Killer review.
Martin Hacker-Mullen I really liked the vibe of the track but i was initially disappointed it cut out so abruptly. But the lack of closure really adds to this record's theme of discomfort.
Nonagon Infinity is the same
I'm not a metalcore fan at all but I really like this band a lot
Napalm Grave that's because most metalcore doesn't sound like this, this album has an early metalcore vibe (like converge)
I usually hate metalcore, but this... this wasn't A7x garbage, this was diverse, good, punk sounding metal, with a metalcore edge, I very much enjoyed this album
+the sickness I wouldn't say a7x is diverse, but you're right, they're not metalcore. Hard rock i think fits better. The stage easily their best album, though
The Sickness A7x is no where near the most "Diverse" Rock band. They are primarily Hard Rock, Prog Metal, Alt Metal and Heavy Metal for most of the part, and that is not a vastly different variety as these styles don't tend to sound all that much different when compared to other styles of Rock and Metal.
well a7x is trash
pride_hatred slaughter this has to be a joke
this record is possibly IMO a fucking masterpiece...they infused JUST enough of the diff "alt metal" shit to make this a tasteful as hell record...without losing their roots...I give it a STRONG 9...
I kind of have a similar opinion on the last two tracks, but I thought hurt goes on would have been better as an interlude somewhere else in the album, thought that song was alright, some of the lyrics were a bit hard to take seriously though. But I thought Dream2 was an awesome and eerie ending for the album.
I am super impressed with this album. It's visceral, honest and oozing with the raw energy of unbridled, angsty youth. Really refreshing.
Review "We Are Number One"
Code Orange - Forever.....for a little while!
Was anxiously waiting for the "Code Orange - Forever... Forever!" Part at the end, but was hit with some poetic knowledge, sonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
Fucking amazing LADS. The absolute grungy sound and heavy hitting sound this band creates is fucking BEAUTIFUL. CODE ORANGE FOREVER.
How this video get 5 dislikes? Videos been out for 4 minutes, it's an 8 minute video.
wow you're so insightful
dropping knawledge on us. Damn
Bandstand facts!
You don't have many friends do you?
Bandstand, eat shit.
You my boy today. My requested review. Haven't listened to it yet, now I will, not a breakdown fan too. AAAND you give me my favorite drug song from twitter as an outro.
Mythany Boytano over here.
Review Godfather by Wiley
it's on my to-do list.
Thankthony Youtano!
yessssss
I actually really like it so far from the instrumental perspective. Still have to look into the lyrics but I doubt there's much there.
:D :D :D
Reba Myers is the guitarist now. She used to be the bassist back in the beginning of code orange the bassist has been joe Goldman for a while now. Just clarifying because when you were talking about her vocals on bleeding in the blur you mentioned her as a bassist
Fantastic review. Definitely not a metalcore fan by any means but they blend metalcore very nicely into this album for a hardcore band. It's a beautiful line they're walking.

I absolutely love this album and had honestly never listened to the band before. fucking stoked to see them support gojira in s few months. keep up the good work man. killer channel.
all these metalcore bands like code orange and nails only remind me of converge
Zetsubou Aaron You need to chill calling Converge mediocre
lol mediocre
Mediocre. haha. One of the best live bands I've ever seen in my life. No one makes music like them. Many try though
Nails is not metalcore, man. Get your genres right. Just sayin'
how do nails remind you of converge? lol
Sure they're really heavy but from what i've heard they don't really hit that certain level of abrasiveness i'm looking for in metal these days. Bands like Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan and more recently Oathbreaker scratch that itch a lot better for me.
Go check out the latest Oathbreaker, it will melt your face.
Serpico's Beard yeah absolutely zero people heard that album great unknown find bro
Go listen to it, it might cheer you up.
"melt your face"
are you the kind of guy that describes bands as "brutal" too?
On occasion yeah. I would describe bands such as Cattle Decapitation and Deicide as sounding pretty "brutal".
Stop taking life so seriously.
I know right!
Vancouver last night - Code Orange - saw this band last night with Meshuggah. Code Orange i think is the new wave of metal. Very different from most. Check them out (they are nominted for a grammy this year too) . Rolling stone magazine rated thier album best album of 2017. Multi dimensional, hardcore-beatdown metal vibe, i can definitely see why...
So glad you reviewed this. I think I would have liked the album a lot more if they didn't have so many choppy, unnecessary cut edits that just break up the continuity of the songs.
everyone was saying he was gonna hate this...is this album worth checking out?
Watched this to hear a "forever, forever" outro
the beat on the outro goes hard af
Nice review, I'll check these guys out. Speaking of orange metal things have you checked out Frontierer - Orange Mathematics? Some nice angry shit there. Also dat end slate tho.
Review TLOP again and give it a 10
That album is so garbage
The Great Magnet that album sucks
Review TLOP again and give it a 0
Trash album. More successful in it's attempts to be weird than YEEZUS.
absolute shit album, give it a 1/10
it would be cool if in the reviews you played like highlights of the album quietly in the background or something
What's up with the new youtuber-like close ups?
Who heard the dog bark at 3:43
OOOOOO a dog.....how exotic.
Bandstand for real
8/10 i knew it!
I love how long you talked about breakdowns.
love the new outro dude. I like it even better than the other one!
"At least -- a - metalcore - record -- that --Nails - didn't - write ...--"
Fuccthany
Boitano
Please review car seat headrest- twin fantasy
Nice I gotta check this one out. What about that new Sepultura? A few cursory listens sounded pretty good.
If you liked this, how come no Car Bomb review?
I only clicked on this review to hear him say “Forever, forever.” He didn’t do it, but I’m not that disappointed
Do a collab with thatistheplan
Genre: "SKULL-CRUSHING DESTRUCTION FROM HELL" :D
FOR GODS SAKE FANDANGO WILEY NOW
PLEASE REVIEW KNOCKED LOOSES LAUGH TRACKS?? I want to know what you think!
i can't remember where i heard about this album or the first video for it. but i can't stop listening to this now. the album art is amazing too, i love the embossed lettering. i'm trying not to get prints all over this cover...
That shit at the end tho, best music video i have seen since 1912, so on point, really touches home on today's issues. 100/10
Love your videos Man!
Since this is a Metalcore band ugh I'll probably check it out! wish if you review more Metalcore bands! :^(
Are you planning on doing a full review of Dillinger Escape Plans last album?
Dylan Mayes He did it awhile back.
Anthony, Have your opinions I Am King changed at all since your review?
forever?
3:32 I'm done
Saw them supporting gojira on the 17th, they weren't too bad but not many bands hold a flame to gojira for live performance these days
6:08 - 6:25 Fuck yeah. i hope bands like Code Orange, Starcrawler, The Hellfreaks and IDLES bring back Rock music.
Very good review, Anthony.
Definately Definitely have to check this out!!!!!
I'm super surprised by this review! Nice!
I'm so excited for this album, just received my preorder ❤
I saw you haven't reviewed any of Brand New's Albums. If you could review The Devil And God Are Raging Inside that would be great.
BaptizedByFire definitely a classic review
BaptizedByFire I need this
BaptizedByFire he reviewed science fiction
if you can, please review EDEN's album, 'i think you think too much of me' or 'End Credits'. It would be very good and nice.
The KDOT of Medalcore
10/10 ~Kendrick Fantano
*Hardcore
6:43 Dat ending doh!
ahaha that intro joke was very great , man!
just ordered it
Review the trump inaugural welcome concert.
Hey, Baldthony, a new Gorillaz song is out
1:27 *guitarist*
Better Roadrunner release: Code Orange "Forever" or Nickelback "Silver side up"? I'll wait.
Are you going to review Bones new tape : Disgrace?
Check out Knocked Loose my dude, if you dig this you'll for sure dig them.
I didn't think they would top I Am King but goddam they did
Speaking of great metalcore albums, you should definitely review the new Darkest Hour that's coming out in March. It's being produced by Kurt Ballou and the tracks they have released are fucking crazy so far.
Reba Meyers is the lead guitarist
If the only metalcore album i listened to was jane doe and enjoyed it, would i like this?
White Supremacist Hate Symbol Most likely. The production is similar, but not as instrumentally complex at all. Also, Jane Doe had more of a traditional hardcore influence than metal whereas this album has more of a metal influence if not 50/50 with hardcore.
No
Great review, cheers
Your impression of the vocals is spot on lol
-sition...forever, forever
I want another Adventures record
Jesus Garcia yes fucking yes
What the hells up with all these close-ups in your reviews recently?
Fell in a Code Orange hole after this .
Gorillaz released a new song called Hallelujah Money. It's not the single for the new album though.
