  • Welcome to my review of the Hyundai IONIQ 5. This car has received an awful lot of praise and won several awards - we take a closer look to find out if it justifies it all.
In this video we look at:
    Exterior walkaround
    Pricing and options
    Interior and functionality
    Practicality and storage space
    What it's like to drive
    Range and charging
I hope you enjoy this video. If you do, please give it a thumbs up and help out the channel by subscribing!!

Seen a few about but, tbh, it looked massive and bulky. Kia equivalent possibly sexier visually. Ioniq 6 appears more visually impressive.
I do like the "German" open minded influence, possibly from Albert Biermann, re the centre console moving and the ability to open one's legs very wide! If only my first few cars had had that system, lol....
The door handles ingress will likely prove an interesting temporary mini prison for spiders and other insects at times.
One might open it up and find an angry wasp stinging their hand when touching the end of it😉
As previously mentioned, check out Brian Catt on climate change.
I just don't understand the obsession with going only to EVs. Utterly ridiculous philosophy, unobtainable and predominantly virtue signalling unless one is travelling into congestion charging areas daily or actually enjoys questioning whether they might have tinnitus each time one approaches them.
Undoubtedly, the people truly running things however, are rubbing their hands together.
Euro 6 ICE's are cleaner over a lifetime, co2 isn't what's bad, it's all the other pollutants that we see daily coming out of old cars, buses and taxis, especially diesel, along with the massive industrial factory chimneys etc...
By all means include electric, but amongst clean ICE's, hydrogen and future efuels.
After all, wind and solar won't be powering all these electric vehicles, it will be coal, gas and nuclear predominantly.
And that's only if we have sufficient supply!

It is quite bulky looking, definitely. They've somehow made it look as though it should be a small car, but its huge! Might just be my eyes going though...
Agree about the EV6. They've done a great job on that. Reviewing one of those in a couple of weeks.
I'll have to check him out. There's a lot of ground to cover because of all the mining it involves and the fallacy of carbon offsets and carbon neutral.
