    Hallo Thomas. I just realized I’d like to see Hyundai apply aspects of this design to some of their other models. I can’t help but feel as though it’s like a 1976 sci fi interpretation of what Y2K vehicles might have looked like. This one appeals to me more than any other EV. Thank you for another great video, sir. Cheers.

    I already knew I wanted this car, but I love this reviewer’s perspective because he’s fussy and so am I. He’s right about the design, “clean,” not busy. I want a vehicle in which I can easily pack large framed artwork, and this can, with the rear seats down can do the job. Cannot wait until it’s available in Washington state in Teal.

Not on Tesla : ventilated seats, Android Auto, and HUD, sunroof shade... Also like reclining seats with foot rest and reclining console for arms rest, all electronic aids especially against collisions, automated parking (Executive version), blind spot cams on dashboard when turning, V2L, electric sun shades integrated in back doors, sunroof shade, wide space available inside with good visibility through the back window etc. Also 5 year car warranty illimited kms (Max 80 000 for Tesla... Reliability issues?), and 8 year battery warranty (same as Tesla).

    Superb review as usual Thomas - far more loaded with reliable, intelligent, valuable information and opinions than other channels. Well done again, and thank you.
    This is a super impressive Tesla challenger. I would buy this as the Tesla alternative. It's far better looking also than that hideous blunt-nose design on the Tesla M3. The Polestar is the best looking regular car on the market right now - electric or not - also an excellent candidate, although it appears not as good as this Ioniq 5 for fast charging.

    Great review, thank you! I’ve been waiting for this. I’m thinking about you comparing this to the Enyaq/ID4 instead of the Polestar or Tesla. In Sweden this will be the cheapest of the bunch. I’ve not ordered the Enyaq yet because I wanted to check out this one first. What do you think comparing it to Enyaq 80X/ID4 GTX? Also, nice legs on Jonas. 😉😂

    FYI : Norway is the entry market for Asian car manufacturers and also the most electric car fleet market of Europe. So you will see a lot of new electric cars in Norway before they are seen elsewhere. Hence the Norwegian registry.
    It would only be sensible to look at the Norwegian car market to buy yourself the best price/quality electric car. I will wait for a few more years, looking at battery wear and depreciation... Maybe buying a second hand premium in stead first.

    • @autogefuehl
      @autogefuehl  3 года назад +1

      Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. As a start, please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: ruclips.net/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/видео.html
      In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which body part you would murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse?
      The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination. If you are interested in how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ruclips.net/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/видео.html
      Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally.
      For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car.
      In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: ruclips.net/video/u94YXJ72UTA/видео.html
      Not using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all just of common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.

    1600kg towing capacity. Frankly, after Tesla's behaviour removing the tow bar option from the Model 3, with no announcement or explanation, they are asking for trouble in Europe. The option to tow a trailer if you own a home, or like a slightly "outdoors-ey", family holiday is almost impossible to live without. And 18 minute charging. Wow.
