I'll be all in on this game. I went all-in on Aeon Tresspass and haven't regretted that decision and so far Kingdoms Forlorn is shaping up to be another home run for me. I was one of the testers on ATO and am one of the testers on KF, so I've seen the behind the screens work of what goes into them developing and figuring out how to make these fights unique. I watched them create some absolutely incredible encounters in ATO and this game is building upon what they learned there and branching into the dungeon crawling space.
Just a heads up, this game is meant to be a challenge. People who have been saying this is like Elden Ring but in board game format aren't too far off in terms of setting their expectations haha. The big difference is that death doesn't necessarily mean you re-start - failure will still move your story arcs forward...generally speaking.
@Bryan, all of those tokens easy to identify, and frequently used. There will definitely be more than those 160 tokens if people purchase any of the expansion content - new token types are added with all of the expansions (including Knights)
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. You could have added that VAT is already included which is interesting for your European audience (like myself). Nevertheless I will probably not back this one, given that I have already backed ATO.
I've got ATO coming and don't want to do anything before I play that. Too many games and not enough time! KF is just competing with everything else and isn't convincing enough to jump to the front of the line. I think I'll pledge $1 and wait until I get ATO and play it, then hopefully be able to upgrade in pledge manager if needed.
All in is the least we can do.

I'm already in for Aeons Tresspass. Into the unknown has been quite solid on communication. With that being said, i'll likely pass on Kingdoms Forlorn. Simply because of the depth of both games. I'm more than satisfied with the amount of conent in AT:O. I may have been more inclined to back Kingdoms Forlorn had AT:O shipped already but it hasn't. It should be shipping in the next month or two it sounds like. Though with the ongoing situation in Ukraine could cause more delays. I believe Into the Unknown is based in Poland. So if that is the case it is quite possible this could effect things moving forward. Best of wishes out to that end of the world and thanks for the upload.

Thanks a lot for that advice/review video. You've done quite some deep impressive work. I've been reading the rulebook preview and it sounds so immersive. I just cannot figure out to go all-in right now, or later during the PM... I didn't get ATO because of the price rocket rise during its PM phase, and am afraid it might happen too to KF. I think they wrote somewhere (there are so many long and rich updates) that they would keep the KS prices for the first weeks of the PM, if anyone can confirm...
I'll ask around and see if I can get an answer.
So little birds have said that I would expect ITU to follow suit with their previous PMs, but nothing official hope that helps.

I've played 40 hours of elden ring. I basically have to back this now.
It's a terrible idea.
The All-In just showed up, with a full new area expansion. Its around 478$ for just game play content. I am of course going all in on this game, however I noticed that many games now just give you standees in addition to mini's, and those standees for me end up being wasted cause I tend to use just mini's.
Yeah, same here. I thought they'd replace the standees.
Once again I was not notified of this vid, even though I have the bell pressed lol.

I think if it were in the 100 zone (usd) I would have backed already. The art and minis is right up my alley. But after shipping its looking to be about 200 for me. I'm still really thinking about it though

I have not seen anyone mention the JAN 2024 delivery. That seems way, way out. Also I haven't noticed any exclusives. I may be entirely wrong about that tho...

Not backing. There needs to be a "wow" factor for the group to pick up another heavy rulebook game. KF has too many things going on. I fear the game will get bogged down with rulebook referencing, managing game pieces, looking up narrative elements, etc. The game looks really cool and really boring at the same time.
Struggling with this as well. I want to back it but ATO is still unknown and, dang, some of that card art really turns me off.
I have not backed ATO, and will not - not my taste. the KF on the other hand - full All In. Great ideas in one box: roguelite, sandboxy dungeon crawler/delver, personal campaings, different kingdoms, boss clashes. Pure awesomeness.
I'll buy it off you for $40 when you make the "games I regret backing" in a few years time ;)

Overall, the game looks good with outstanding production values. But this developer is pretty new to board games and is over a year late and counting on their previous big box campaign. Also, their KS campaign before ATO failed to fund. This developer is located in Poland and with the current geo-political climate in Eastern Europe, that is another added risk to this campaign. I think these are all red flags.
I wouldn’t see the current conflict as a threat to this project. Whilst Poland borders Ukraine, Poland is part of NATO. Attacking would lead to World War III. If you see this is a risk, you should hold off on all kickstarters as they carry the same risk that World War III could interrupt it.
The KS campaign that "failed" is because they switched it from KS to the Polish platform. The only KS that happened before ATO were the Aeon Trespass: Eschaton and Nymph resin mini lines and they delivered those. It is fair to say they are new to the board game space though. That being said, they are delivering ATO which was an incredibly ambitious project for a first time creator so kudos to them for actually following through. It is late by a year, but that's nothing unusual for massive KS games. The next update is in March so we should know pretty soon when the game starts to get loaded onto the boats for delivery.
It's not like we haven't had a worldwide pandemic for the last 2 years... Shipping is the biggest problem for all Kickstarter's right now, and the shear scope of ATO it is impressive how well they have done within that time period. Give them a break.
