I love the guy starting off with a huge log and working all day with hand tools to make a small door chock! Which he discards lol! They were so funny . . .
That drilling sound coming from the stereo is similar to a scene from the Goodies where the three of them were stood outside a door listening to all this building work going on, then I think they had a stereo which they pressed to stop the noise as they walked in.
Funny stuff alright. Not sure why they're so underrated and aren't as well remembered as other British comedy acts, they were just as funny, if not funnier when they were at their best
The door sketch reminds me of a site I worked on many moons ago, basically, the site manager and a joiner had a massive barney, and the contracts manager took the site managers side, so the joiner put his week notice in and finished up in the plot he was working in and walked off the site on the friday afternoon. It was then the following monday where the joiners "revenge" became apparent... He'd changed the frames of all the doors the other way around, the doors were "hung" wrong handed, and I say "hung" with quotes because they were literally hanging as he hinged the doors at the top, so they were quite literally hanging and you had to open them as if they were a flap! :D Eeeeeee, it was so funny, the site manager was going his ends! :D
@@TheShanampan I started working general labouring in 1977 soon after I left school, digging footings, knocking up cement on a board, carrying bricks and blocks up ladders etc…I moved on to industrial roofing, cladding and sheeting. The bit at the start where the front end loader delivers the nail is of course exaggerated, but it would surprise some who haven't been on a union building site just how ridulous things like that can be to meet 'Workplace Health and Safety' standards.

They weren't that bad. They had some pretty good sketches. The bar fight, the foreign bar tender, the creepy butler, this one, the cannibale one, the Alcohol annomus one all pretty good sketches
I appreciate this entirely accurate and factual documentary on British ‘new build’ house construction since 2010.
True foresight
those brick walls need bulging out of plumb & a few cracks. then it’s spot on. with botched joinery, plumbing & electrics of course.
iluvu
why is thick ok
Utter nonsense. The standard of house building in the UK from reputable builders is top notch. Not sure what houses you look at.

The best and funniest, slightly forgotten comedy. I have them all on dvd ❤️. I recommend my favourite from the french wineproducer🤣🤣

The one & only Hale & Pace...or is it the two & only?😆🤣😂 The pet shop "well hard dog" sketch is one of the greatest ever from these blokes!😆😁🤣😃
It's gotta be two and only:
Der's one, der's anuvver one.
Great documentary on site working
That door had me in stiches😊
Harmless inoffensive non racist non sexist original comedy at its best.
Please I beg of you bring back the 80's🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Pure quality.

I remember a stoned apprentice
walking straight into a big glass

Cracking stufff - nephews are Builders 😂

These are exactly what builders are like
Really??
No it isn't
Rubbish, when was the last time you saw a builder with a handsaw or hand plane.
Nowadays battery saws, impact drivers and nail guns.
@ maybe this was builders 5 years ago when I commented this 😄
@nimomaniachannel
True, the new generation of builders are probably training on laptops.
Used to love hale and pace but this isn't one of their best, series padding I'd call it
Used watch em all the time, not like the crap thats on now
No doubt influenced by the late great Benny Hill
That's proper comedy not the woke crap of today
You enjoy the box-laughter too?
Take your pills grandad
Wasn't even good comedy then. PS Define "woke" please, sounds like you're just repeating what you're told.
Left wing comedy isn't comedy its an embarrassment, like thier hair cuts
