an eve mission without nuclear engines and proper heat shielding is just incredibly annoying to do, specially considering all the pre stage you'd want to do for a more efficient mission
@@GottaGoBoom Yea, I'm having quite the challenge designing my Eve craft. I have something that mostly works using the Near Future nuclear aerospike engine, but its a bit of an abomination in terms of looks. I do have another which looks nicer, but at over 200T compared to my current 35T craft, it would be a challenge getting it to Eve, let alone launching it and doing multiple orbital refuels.
@@cxg2827 Yeah the nuclear jet engines specially the project eeloo one are monstrosities lol, they also dont have alot of TWR i tried using them but ended up giving up and just sending a complete rocket to eve instead
I appreciate the comment. I will say that the Duna mission is one of my favorites so far in the JNSQ career playthrough. I enjoy being able to drive rovers around with enough gravity to not risk easily flipping compared to other planets.
Two years ago video and still, the best mission profile i have ever seen executed in JNSQ, though i never understood why the crew capsule makes all the journey to Duna and back, when it will be better to keep it staged in LKO for crew's return. Anyways, im trying JNSQ thanks to you, great series!
Thanks. The crew capsule stayed with the ship similar to the Mars Constellation program. If I happened to be short on Delta-V on Kerbin return, The crew could have ditched in the capsule for a direct re-entry without the capture.
@@cxg2827 Oh well, thats sounds reasonable enough to me. My kerbals dont get it to Duna yet, just probes around the system, so i gonna take note on this one.
@@lokey108 I say give it a try. my graphics card is a bit dated, and a lot of my flights has the clock in the yellow. Davinci Resolve is the free editing software I use and it is pretty capable.
@@lokey108 I have an install quite similar to author's install - JNSQ+Kerblism - and running on a mid-end laptop (1035g1/mx350) I can tell you that pretty much everything including EVE runs smoothly as long as I don't use Principia or Parallax.
Hi! Why would you put the Duna Crew Transfer Vehicle in high eliptical orbit to reduce radiations (I imagine from the kerbin's radiation belts?) if there is no crew inside yet? Thanks
Check here for the answer. Explained it in one of the posts. forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/209831-jnsq-kerbalism-a-crewed-exploration-career-playthrough-cinematic-series/
Appreciate the comment! I think that people are getting ready for the release of KSP2. The RSS/RO side of RUclips still seems to be making videos, and Vaos with Stock KSP.
Would’ve been cooler if you could have used a falcon 9 and crew dragon and kept the crew dragon as the Duna lander and had a duna ascent lander pre positioned or better yet use a atlas v and a CST100 for a change.
First successful crewed mission outside of Kerbin's SOI. Is Duna everyone's "go-to" or have others visited another planet first?

Very cool! Moho is definitely a bit tricky to visit
I love your lander design!
Thank you!

How did you build the service module?

Can you provide your mod list? Also do you ever plan to do more extended format videos for jnsq?
Here you go. Yes, I do plan on making videos for all bodies in the JNSQ system. I am currently finishing the Dres mission, and will be editing the footage for that mission next.

I've never played JNSQ, what's it like?
Mostly just an upscaled system. Means the rockets look a bit more proportional rather then small and squatty for the same payload
What mod are these modules that you used for the spaceship?
