I’m a Shmup fanatic so I choose the two Toaplan collections as my faves (with a slight edge to volume 2 for “Hellfire”). And I also love the Irem cart because it has “In The Hunt” and “Moon Patrol”.
I only had console base console (red) cartridges so far, but I got Data East Arcade 1 and Gaelco Arcade 2! Really enjoying it! Thank you for the videos! I can’t wait for the Alpha reveal next week - Exciting stuff!
Toaplan 2. I have to have both Toaplan carts in the VS so I see them as one lol. In truth though there are more good games than bad games across all the arcade carts so it's a win for all of us! 🙂
I just got an EXP and the arcade carts I got were Jaleco Arcade, Gaelco Arcade 1 and the IREM one. Got Xeno Crisis, too, which looks and plays great. the CAPCOM games preloaded are really good, too. Got Piko 4 and Duke Collection 2 on the way from Menkind (offer on at the moment - two carts for £30!) Great review, thanks (looks like I got the best arcade carts!)
I’m almost on the same page as you - I’d probably say Jaleco 1 is my favorite and Gaelco 1 is my 2nd favorite (although my Gaelco cartridge was defective and I can’t play thunder hoop - i suppose that could’ve potentially bumped it up over Jaleco depending on how much I liked it.) My favorite arcade game on the Evercade (on the arcade collection carts and not counting the Capcom collection) is probably Thunder Hoop 2 on Gaelco 2 or possibly In the Hunt on Irem 1 - but my absolute favorite tends to change often. Hopefully we’ll get more arcade carts, indie collections and dual indie carts as we go here. These have consistently been the best Evercade cartridges in my opinion (although there’ve been some outliers) and I’m not super psych about a potential push towards early 3D PS1 games - that’s just not what I got into this for really.
I'm going to cheat a bit here and say the EXP's Capcom Collection. It's head and shoulders above any of the Arcade Cart releases and one of the main reasons I picked up an OG EXP so late in the day. If I had to pick the Arcade Cart that I've had most fun with it would have to be Gaelco Arcade 2 as there's a nice variety of games and it's got Big Karnak on it :-) Keep up the awesome work!
I'm disappointed that no arcade carts so far this year. I sold all the none arcade carts off , just kept team 17 cart and I pre ordering the thalamus cart c64 collection Would love more data east and irem ,l. Be great to see taito cart rather than just on the mega pocket
:-) Toaplan 3. Though the inevitable Data East 3 really has a lot of very good games that could be included (Boogie Wings, Spinmaster, Fighter's History, Bloody Wolf, Joe and Mac and Nightslashers to name a handful) and if that ever happens it could take the top prize.
I like the The Arcade cartridges but none of them have exactly made me go how good was that , O think Toaplan 3 will end up being the best as Batsugun is on there !
Im hoping the Alpha is a stronger system so we can play more recent arcade games, we are certainly long due for more arcade collections. Honestly I enjoyed toaplan 1, technos 1 and Irem 1 the most, but honestly 90% of thr games on all these carts were enjoyable so its hard to say.
@@CrazyBurger I just added it to my Amazon order now, on your recommendation: the games look terrible to me, honestly, but I take your endorsement seriously.
Hi I am a guy who has the exp a vs my exp does not work when displaying on a bigger screen tried loads of different cables so do you think there’ll be a capcom physical cart released for the Evercade
I got a Super Pocket for Christmas and have grabbed the Piko Collection 1 and Codemasters Collection. Have been thinking about grabbing an arcade collection next so this video is pretty timely for me. I think I am going to give Gaelco 1 a go as World Rally looks right up my street and the other games all look pretty fun too. 👍
It's mostly fine, Super Breakout and Pong are what bring it down, plus the fact that there are better versions of Centipede and Asteroids on console. Warlords and Lunar Lander are great to have and I love the early arcade games like Skydiver, Canyon Bomber, and Night Drive.
Data East Arcade 1 just barely edges out Jaleco Arcade 1 as my favorite arcade cart. Though I do wanna give a shout-out to Technos Arcade. When I first got it I absolutely hated it. But twice its games have surprised me when they came up for Cadey's Challenge. Battle Lane is surprisingly fun, but especially Mysterious Stones I put in like a dozen hours that week as a few of us were discovering a lot of hidden depth and strategy and sharing tips.
@@CrazyBurger if you're interested, I'd recommend searching up the #cadeys-challenge channel for the week we played - a few of us looped the game and found some neat secrets. It's definitely not well communicated but it's really fun once you've unlocked it.
As a Catalonian guy I have my own remembrances on Gaelco ones. But technically the Irem cart is the best so far in my opinion.

I agree with your choice. For me the variety on this cart just makes great fun. One of my favourite things is to put in volume1&2 into the VS
My favorite is Data East Arcade 1, and in second i would say Irem collection due to In the Hunt being on there

Definitely. Some toughies as well. Probably to be expected though.

Nice, your collection is building nicely.

It would be three collections if it were carts, though
I'd say Data east arcade is my favourite so far, closely followed by Irem and Jaleco.

Hi Burger, i wish u a nice Sunday,, i have gaelco 1 and data east, like both 👍 thanks
Thank you. Same to you! Have a great day

@@jasonshiers5771 Now I'm not a big shooter fan but thought that Toaplan 3 was the best yet. 4 isn't too bad either.
Capcom, the one build into the EXP firmware is the best arcade collection.
Lol yeah. I had that in mind but stuck to the carts only.
Toaplan 1 is my favorite. Jaleco or Data East might be the best. Gaelco 1 is really great too.
Although the Taito Super Pocket wipes the floor with everything else.
@@KeenRetroGames You could well be right there..
Toaplan 2 for me

Wouldn't mind some Namco arcade titles..
It's not it's the same specs as the EXP
One player solo vs two player co-op: two very different categories. I never play alone, so my "taste" is different.
I was surprised at how positive he was about Gaelco vol 1.
@@FromInktoInc who is he? Gaelco 1 is an excellent cart.

No, not happening
I love gaelco 1
What got censored in Gaelco squash?
Boobs (girl in audience flashing). Right at the start of the match. Nothing too serious. It doesn't need to be there anyway.

You won't regret it, it's excellent!
the exp capcom, but that is not a cart so I go for Irem and toaplan 2
The Atari Arcade Collection is by far the Worst Collection
Possibly. I do enjoy a bit of Lunar Lander though.

Interesting regarding Mysterious Stones. I felt the game lacked a bit of direction and logic.
