Both anguna games are like Zelda games .anguna is my #1 pick. Intellivision 1, still original concept games from the 80s, atari lynx, sydney hunter is a nice old school platformer. Star x ,a nice star fox style game.
Good video, looking forward to the Piko 4 and Sunsoft 2 reviews. First few carts I got I based on your reviews, but then I've just been picking them up 2nd hand when they pop up in CEX! I've got about 29 carts, massive puzzle game fan, possibly because I'm nearly 50 and my reactions aren't what they were for the shooting games! My top ten would be : 10. Snow Bros, 9. Top Racer 2, 8. Snowboard Championship (or World Rally 2), 7. SkullJagger, 6. Zero Tolerance Underground, 5. BMX Sim, 4. Volfied, 3. Chaos Engine, 2. Teki Paki 1. Maniac Square
Interesting list. Maniac Square almost made my list, or rather, it's hidden sequel did. Wasn't a huge fan of a few of the others, but I certainly remember them all, so there's definitely something unique about them
Some great picks. Goodboy Galaxy, Alwa's awakening and Cathedral are my favorites as well. Hopefully amazon Canada restocks the Cathedral/alwa cart. Right now, I'm playing them on the switch. I want to play them on the pocket. I would add the 10 games from both the Duke Nukem collection and Sydney Hunter games as well. From the Team17 cart, I’ll add Qwak. Big fan of the amiga games. I won’t mention the built in games from the Taito and Capcom Super Pockets as that is where I primarily play the carts. They all look great on that small screen, especially on the road.
Good list and video. Yeah, it's a bit frustrating the Capcom games are only built in otherwise they'd have a bunch that rank pretty high. For me I just made a quick list that I've already flipped around a half dozen times but I'll leave it as is for now. Xeno Crisis, Tanzer, Demons of Asteborg, Splatterhouse 3, Brave Battle Saga, Arcus Odyssey, In the Hunt, Dragon View, Splatterhouse 2, Gaiares, Bad Dudes (arcade), Blaster Master, Alligator Hunt, BioMechanical Toy, Fire Shark, Zero Wing, Sensible Soccer, Midnight Resistance, Another World, Water Margin
Good vid some of my favs in there too, id forgotten about Burning Force so thanks for that need to give that another go. I completely over looked Quest Arrest looks fun cheers.
It's really good, it's hard to recommend because of the corrupt save, but if you've already got it definitely play it. For all I know I'm the only person in the world who got corrupted
I would say the main selling point is just that it's a fun way to discover games. If you're not too fussed about trying out lots a random games, then there are probably better ways to play tomb raider
Top 20? I'd struggle with a top 10. Evercade, as interesting and hit and miss as it is, is undoubtedly a mix of the obscure, mediocre and dismal from the world of gaming. I have around a dozen carts and my top games would be..... Mappy (Namco Museum 1 Collection). Dig Dug ( Namco Museum 1 Collection). World Really (Gaelco Arcade Collection 1). Thunder Hoop (Gaelco Arcade Collection 1). Alligator Hunt (Gaelco Arcade Collection 1). Motor Psycho (Atari Collection 1). Missile Command (Atari Collection 1). Food Fight (Atari Collection 1). Checkered Flag (Atari Lynx Collection 2). Gates Of Zendocon (Atari Lynx Collection 2). Earth Defense Force (Jaleco Collection 1). Hardcore 4 x 4 (Gremlin Collection 1). Best games are obviously opinions that differ from person to person but these above mentioned titles are games that surprised me in one way or another as to how good they displayed and were to play on a small handheld screen (Mappy, Dig Dug, Missile Command, Food Fight) and/or were games that I didn't know I was going to like (World Rally, Thunder Hoop, Gates of Zendocon, Hardcore 4 x 4). I have access to three versions of Mappy on three different devices for instance but prefer the NES version on the Evercade cart due to it playing perceivably faster and more responsive. The SNES version of Earth Defense Force, while not being a particularly great horizontal shmup, it is notably better than the arcade game it's based on which is a rare peculiarity regarding home game console ports of arcade games. There are of course many games on Evercade cartridges but the above mentioned games are standouts on their respective collections. Other different titles on Evercade carts will undoubtedly be more at home when played on a large TV screen via the Evercade VS system but I'm focusing on the original Evercade handheld experience here.
Oh yea, if you watch my cart reviews I'm definitely of the opinions that there's a lot of medicore stuff. Most carts seems to have a gem on there though, so there's more than enough carts to make a top 20
Hey my dude I love your videos but you gotta do something about that FLASH-BANG 0:09 transition. I watch your videos at night and it’s not very pleasant experience.
there is no Evercade Game exklusive, this are all fair licensed Roms but no "Evercade Games" The Atgames Legends Pinball Series has some Exklusive Games like Space Invaders, The Intellivision Amico has some exklusive Games like "Missile Command" The Evercade Cartridges are cute made and the colorful Manuals are made with love but the Games itself are just Copys from other Systems which is a lil sad to see not a single own Evercade Game. For this copys here my vote is for Xenocrysis, a endless random generated multiplayer game to play together, surely also great for the evercade alpha.
@@thegamesapprentice there are enough people who want the hardware too... it feels way more special to have the exklusive games and its a fresh feeling to play them by visiting a friend instead of a "oh this game...yeah i already played this on my phone..." you will get a answer like "i didnt even know about this game! " its like a themepark of fresh new attractions, a world of secrets which are here to discover! instead of putting this legendary games on each system and just yawn about this instead of beeing excited to have a great time to explore the new gamingexpreinece together
@@thegamesapprentice not evercade but atgames legends pinball micro because of the exklusiv space invaders game with the actual giant black space invader monsters invading without their ships. Why evercade? the games are not exklusiv, but its colorful fun to collect so i have a evercade vs,suuper pocket taito and the original handheld but the games get bored after under 10 minutes gameplay because i already know some like earthworm jim 2 and glover...sadly they removed the blue wizardhat assistant in the glover version and replaced them with some red things so they ruined the original glover experience.. but yeah good to collect boring to play, with online play it will be more fun, like atgames does it already.
Man. No R Type! And Cathedral is one of the most annoying games I've ever played!! Alwas Awakening was just a bad imitation of its inspiration!! I guess this is why you gotta take all opinions with a grain of salt
RESPECT! Great game list! We just started a new Evercade RUclips. Loving these retro games!
I'll check it out!

Awesome, thank you!

Didn't really rare the Duke Nukem stuff too highly, I need to check out Sydney Hunter though

It's worth checking out for sure

Gaiares, Bobl, Alien Cat 2. Goodboy Galaxy and Astrobros seem like they are up there. Need more time with them.
Yea I definitely need to check out Astrobros
Great video
Welcome back to the channel Doug!
Oddly. I haven't played Cathedral yet. But I did play and complete Alwa's Awakening.
Goodboy Galaxy is my number 1 game too! Nice!
It's really good, it's hard to recommend because of the corrupt save, but if you've already got it definitely play it. For all I know I'm the only person in the world who got corrupted
Hi im considering buying the new Evercade Tomb raider 1-3 collection console do you think this console is worth it thanks
I would say the main selling point is just that it's a fun way to discover games. If you're not too fussed about trying out lots a random games, then there are probably better ways to play tomb raider
Biomechanical Toy is from Gaelco Arcade 1. I wonder which Gaelco Arcade 2 game is your favorite...
Good spot, Yea I kept getting them mixed up in my notes as I played 2 before I played 1
My no 1 would be astebros
Yea probably mine too now, I didn't start it until after this video. It's awesome
No zool? While I have not played the Evercade version it's a game I love
Definitely no Zool

Exclusive games aren't a good thing. They're a way for companies to convince people to buy a piece of hardware they don't want

The various spelling of “exclusive” in and on this comment is upsetting 😂
How do you do a top 20 and miss out R-Type? 🤦🏻♂️
I could do a top 100 and miss off that rubbish
Man. No R Type! And Cathedral is one of the most annoying games I've ever played!! Alwas Awakening was just a bad imitation of its inspiration!! I guess this is why you gotta take all opinions with a grain of salt
And no Duke Nukem or Earthworm Jim WTF lol 😂
Oh absolutely. If I saw a top 20 list with R-type on it I'd immediately write it off
I mean I love Earthworm Jim, but it's not a top 20 game
Bro got fully triggered by someone else’s opinions 😂
