@@hablamosdeevercade Agree with you on this, the main reason I brought into the Evercade was for the indie native games like Full Void, Alwa's Awakening, Cathedral, Life On Mars, Metal Dragon. Not too fussed about the Tomb Raiders, Blood Omens etc. For me personally it's all about those new native games at an affordable price as I can't justify for myself to buy say a Steam Deck. Evercade is affordable and offers an experience that's simple and easy to get started with. 🕹️🎮

I agree about Data East 3, if Boogie Wings, Nitro Ball (run’s gun with pinball mechanics!) and Night Slashers can be on it it’d be incredible! With the Evercade Alpha project launched, Blaze needs to publish arcade carts. Neo Geo carts would fit perfectly. And Gremlin home computer collection could be very cool if they combined their best C64 games with Amiga games like Super Cars II and Venus The Flytrap. I don’t wish for any more single carts, dual carts feel like they fit in better. Sure would be nice with Mega Cat 3, and I hope there are console games from companies not yet on Evercade on the way!
Good stuff, nice to know there’s at least one other Evercade fan in Scotland 😁👍 Given the SNK announcement I’m thinking another Alpha and Super Pocket are just about guaranteed. I wasn’t tempted by Alpha given the focus of the two released, but a NEO-GEO or Classic SNK cab could be interesting (would they do the rotating sticks for Victory Road and Ikari Warriors Arcade though? 🤔). Standalone carts comes down to licensing. I suspect the reason the Namco carts only work on portable is that Blaze couldn’t get a license for console since Namco have done their own releases on PlayStation. Same for Capcom. Taito appears to have done a deal with Hanster as most of the Super Pocket games are in Arcade Archives form (though why no Space Invaders ganes is beyond me). Love to see another Irem Arcade collection: Ninja Spirits was only ported to PC Engine and then released on Wii Virtual Console, so an arcade version on Evercade would be quite the coup! Tecmo getting an arcade collection would also be nice: Rygar anyone? Anything from Sega including their early arcade titles like Tac Scan , Space Fury and Pulsar would be amazing too! I’m still hoping to see Exidy arcade classics Mouse Trap, Venture and Pepper II get a re-release anywhere 😅 Spectrum comp sounds groovy. I thought 2024 was a decent mix of stuff, but they definitely saved the best for the end of the year. Fingers crossed for 2025!
I think these are fine predictions or wishes Crazy Burger. So not to knock your list. But these are expectations that have been highlighted last year, by you and others. Including myself. It still will be great to have those which you mentioned. But for a New Year I think we should be looking beyond all that?! Something which will surprise us all. In a good different way?! I guess Blaze has to play it smart to work out their deals. But going forward I hope it’s a new start for them to include “We the fans” as part of that too! The early announcement of SNK is a promise of that. I hope for more of the same… and a BETTER Roadmap too! lol! Happy New year Crazy Burger! It’s good to have you back! 😊👍
Nice overview of the year and predictions for 2025 :-) I wonder if Blaze could get Doom 64 as the headliner for a Doom Collection? Please, no more hardware unless it's a controller or an Evercade branded Alpha without the included games and a decent price drop :-) Keep up the awesome work!
I think we’ll get an Superpocket Neo Geo pocket as well as a Neo Geo Alpha but hopefully it’s similar to the Capcom ones with only a small amount of games with more games available on carts as personally I wouldn’t buy another Alpha. Love the one I have no more space
Evercade is apparently very close to a Raspberry Pi 2. So if you can export to an ARM architecture you could possibly put the game on Evercade. I'm working on a game in GameMaker I plan to get on Evercade.

I know it's highly unlikely but I'd love to see some Cave shooters popping up on Evercade. Oh, and not forgetting a Taito cart. The 'biggie' for me though is Superfrog, but I do vaguely recollect that gaining a licence to that game may not be just about Lucozade.....my memory may be letting me down here but I think Team 17 may no longer own development rights to Superfrog.
Apparently the superfrog name is an issue and the game would need rebranding as a whole. Sean suggested Team 17-2 is possible at some point but not near future. My almost certain predictions are HCH2, Megacat 3, TR collection 2, and Nanuka solo cart. I think Gremlin blue might be the other feb cart. other ideas, Oddworld collection? Bitmap bureau dual cart with neogeo versions of final vendetta and battle axe perhaps.
Oh and how about a new dual-stick controller? Be nice to have one for sone of the FPS games instead of using shoulder buttons to strafe, though I guess they’d need to patch them to allow for swapping strafe/turn on the d-pad left stick. Something with a PlayStation dual analogue - NOT dual shock - ability to push a button and map the face buttons to right stick would allow for easy play of twin stick shooters like Xenocrisis 😁👍
As much as I'd love to see a Spectrum cart(s) I feel they may have left it too late now. With the release of The Spectrum many retro fans will have had their fill, and can easily add their own ROMs meaning low sales of any new Evercade Speccy carts. Why buy a Speccy cart? At home is covered, for on the go play? Hmmm, not sure. Boat missed... Yeah I'd still buy it/them, but how many outside of collectors would? Oh, and happy new year! )
I play mostly Evercade on the handheld, so getting to play some of these this way, would be great. Trying to emulate Spectrum can be a pain as a lot of the games defaulted to keyboard control, which made it a pain trying to play these on am anbernic device for example. I think despite its popularity.. spectrum would be a niche market within a niche market. It would definitely split opinion much like the c64 stuff.
What I really want is good independant games like full void, some thing different from metroid vania, shmup and bmup if possible. For example point and clic, sport, racing... Please Evercade ! I also hope they will finally allow developpers to use Unity. If not, the evercade will stay very limited in developpement of good indie games. Well, for the moment it is nice that I don't have to put money into buying cartridge, but I bought an evercade to buy games at first 😅
The last Home Computer Heroes collection had some of the best games on the system like Sword of Iana, so I am really looking forward to the next one. Doom... OMG, Evercade may be one of the few devices in the universe, which does not run Doom...

I can answer the iRem question you threw out there in the video… Strictly Limited Games has paid iRem (probably) a fair bit of money to be able to release their own iRem Collections 1-5 on Switch and PS4. We probably won’t see another Evercade iRem release until this licence runs out… They’ve only put 3 out of the 5 cartridges on their site so far and I have no idea how long this licence would last for…
Evercade 2025 my take on it... SNK (Main priority) for Evercade and everything else is a bonus. I'd like to hope Blaze/Evercade will put more of a focus on their stock availablilty including the inclusion of independent high street retailers stocking Evercade products and quality control as a priority which in turn will help the brand going into their future. For me that's what I'd like to see most. 👍🕹️🎮
The end of year update email from the head of Blaze was refreshingly honest about stock shortages. Saying that's a main challenge they're looking to address this year. 🤞 I finally got a Toaplan Arcade 3!!! Albeit from Amazon EU but works a treat. Amazing cart. 🤩
With a Tomb Raider collection 2 on top of The Last Revelation and Chronicles they could add the Game Boy Colour and Advance Tomb Raider games like they did with Duke Nukem collection 2.
10 to 12 carts a year is probably fine from my point of view. There were less last year but that wasnt unwelcome. 50+ carts is fine as Blaze arent rinsing us and have been quite good to keep the releases often and not too numerous which has kept the quality up. I think the SNK deal screams a bartop which i am already planning the space for. As you rightly said, it won't be carts given the wording (although that could just be misdirection) so i am quite positive about what we may get this year. I'd love a Cave or Treasure collection but given how many shmups came out on Toaplan, that might be a 2026 idea, as we could end up being shmup heavy. I think the Mega Cat & another single game cart are likely so well noted CB.
Most of the best indie games run on Unity and Evercade has never done anything to make developpement on Unity a possibility. It is written on their site they will, but they wrote it two years ago and nothing changed since.

I would love to see a EA sports collection, with 16 and 32 bit basketball, football and other sport titles. And fighting games like Primal Rage, MK would be amazing!
@ Is a damn shame. Could you imagine a compilation that includes the Desert Strike, Road Rash and the sport series!? That would be epic. Thanks for the information
I think we need to look to the future of Blaze instead of focusing on primarily the 8-bit days. If they can handle up to PS1/N64 games then we need more 16-64 bit so we can bring in a larger fan base and more games that appeal to different types of gamers
I think there will be another Alpha bundle come Xmas 2025 as the built-in games may have to change. At the end of the 2025 "My Arcade" have devices coming out featuring Megaman & what looks to be Super Street Fighter 2, there is an insert coin button suggesting they could be arcade versions. And a little birdy told me Capcom based in London have been selling the Alpha's they received on eBay... I guess they are entitled to do as they are pleased with them but if they were given away freely by Blaze, a little cheeky being so soon. 😂😂
@CrazyBurger you could also use it on the cabinets as I would hope they have usb connections. I do agree that they should focus a bit more on the carts this year as you only need so much hardware lol.
Be happy if Atari would re-issue the carts that went Legacy so people wouldn't have to spend over $100 for them.

I know that we won't see all of these games but it would be awesome to see some of them.
…and on the Jaleco 2 cart, Chimera Beast as a secret game!
@@nicholasskippins5877 LOL what a list. Yes I'll take all of that.
@@CrazyBurger And here are the SNK games that I would like to see.
Art of Fighting
Fatal Fury Special
King of Fighters series
King Of The Monsters 1 & 2
Neo Drift Out: New Technology
Neo Turf Master
Pocket Tennis
Puzzled
Real Bout Fatal Fury
Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers
Riding Hero
Safari Rally
Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure
Thrash Rally
Top Player’s Golf
Finally someone with a good list !!!
I would die to have all the sports and racing games you named 😭
I can answer the iRem question you threw out there in the video…
Strictly Limited Games has paid iRem (probably) a fair bit of money to be able to release their own iRem Collections 1-5 on Switch and PS4. We probably won’t see another Evercade iRem release until this licence runs out…
They’ve only put 3 out of the 5 cartridges on their site so far and I have no idea how long this licence would last for…
Evercade 2025 my take on it...
@@GamerUKKK Agree, stock shortage has been poor through the last few weeks. Struggling with the demand.
The end of year update email from the head of Blaze was refreshingly honest about stock shortages. Saying that's a main challenge they're looking to address this year. 🤞
I finally got a Toaplan Arcade 3!!! Albeit from Amazon EU but works a treat. Amazing cart. 🤩
I'd like to see more flashy shootemups, similar to the Toaplan Arcade Collection 3.
That could happen if we get a Cave collection.
With a Tomb Raider collection 2 on top of The Last Revelation and Chronicles they could add the Game Boy Colour and Advance Tomb Raider games like they did with Duke Nukem collection 2.
@@Trialwolf Good shout. I always forget those versions.
Never understood why Loaded was never on the Gremlin Collection, classic game
@Cotswoldknight Dunno. I was confuses also. Wanted Actua Golf too.
I hope they will make other exp-r and vs-r bundles. I have vs-r, I would like to buy exp-r in future, but I don’t want another copy of Tomb Rider.
Bundling both with Tomb Raider was a bad choice. They should offer both without Tomb Raider to compensate.
still waiting for irem dragon breed 😢
If they got SEGA that would be really big, Sonic 2, even the GBA sonic games. More indie games like Mad Cow would be epic aswell
Official from Evercade: Price increases on carts starting Jan 30th
What a good news !
Would Blaze consider reissuing some of their legacy carts?
They would have to renew the license
Just give me a half decent Racing/Driving game, it’s the one genre that’s sorely lacking on Evercade
Most of the best indie games run on Unity and Evercade has never done anything to make developpement on Unity a possibility.
It is written on their site they will, but they wrote it two years ago and nothing changed since.
10 SNK carts on Evercade: Neo Geo Pocket Color Collections 1 and 2, SNK Collections 1 and 2 (red carts), Neo Geo Arcade carts 1, 2, 3, 4, SNK Arcade carts 1 and 2
4 Taito carts on Evercade: Taito Collections 1 and 2, and Taito Arcade carts 1 and 2
4 Namco Museum carts on Evercade: Namco Museum Arcade carts 1 and 2, and Namco Museum Collections 3 and 4
4 Konami carts on Evercade: Konami Arcade carts 1 and 2, and Konami Collections 1 and 2
11 Hamster carts on Evercade: Nichibutsu Arcade carts 1 and 2, Nichibutsu Collection 1, UPL Arcade 1, Video System Arcade 1, Video System Collection 1, NMK Arcade 1, Allumer Arcade 1, Athena Arcade 1 and Kaneko Arcade carts 1 and 2
3 Tecmo carts on Evercade: Tecmo Collection 1 (full of nothing but NES games), Tecmo Arcade carts 1 and 2
3 Midway carts on Evercade: Midway Arcade carts 1, 2 and 3
6 Capcom carts on Evercade: Capcom Arcade carts 1, 2 and 3 and Capcom Collections 1, 2, and 3
3 Disney carts on Evercade: Disney Collections 1, 2 and 3
I would love to see a EA sports collection, with 16 and 32 bit basketball, football and other sport titles.
And fighting games like Primal Rage, MK would be amazing!
@ Is a damn shame. Could you imagine a compilation that includes the Desert Strike, Road Rash and the sport series!? That would be epic. Thanks for the information
Three's a huge lack of good sports games 😕
@ Sadly, you're right :(
I think we need to look to the future of Blaze instead of focusing on primarily the 8-bit days. If they can handle up to PS1/N64 games then we need more 16-64 bit so we can bring in a larger fan base and more games that appeal to different types of gamers
Will we have atari jaguar games ?
@@flo_raf Possible.. like the ones that appear on the Atari 50 collection.
When it comes to predicting for The Evercade i've given up 😂
@@jasonshiers5771 hah.. my past predictions have actually been pretty good!
@ they have been very impressive
Doom would be cool. Especially since they were able to get Duke Nukem. No interest in SNK since I have the MVSX 3/4.
More arcade carts I'm after , more irem , data east be perfect, but snk also interests me especially metal slug collection
I think it's time for them to release a keyboard and mouse as this could really open up the possibility for some old school bangers
@@peterredwin4617 Possibly. Though obviously for VS users only. I really don't know if this is a route they want to follow.
@CrazyBurger you could also use it on the cabinets as I would hope they have usb connections. I do agree that they should focus a bit more on the carts this year as you only need so much hardware lol.
May as well just use a PC at that point.
You’re obviously obsessed with evercade good bye
😂
