    I used a 3" hole saw for my triglide with oil for cutting took about, 3 minutes each side: then installed the Thunder Torque inserts for reversion... sounds great and runs great!

    Thanks for the video man. I know it's a few years old but still helpful. I just did this to my 2019 Road Glide. 30 minutes and both sides were done. Not sure why people are be bitches about the right side pipe. It was the exact same as the left. Thanks again bud!

      LBCSG17 I think some people are confused about older models. I believe 2017+ M8 exhaust is the same on both sides. I believe the other guys are thinking about the Twin Cam setups.

    Have '01 Heritage with stage 1 kit. An 2 into 1 Screamin Eagle exhaust. The baffle n guts are held in by a Single Screw underneath. I pulled it all out. But lost power cuz No back pressure. So i cut the baff. in half an reinstalled it. Sounds fkn awesome an i got Not only power back but it Runs way better in performance too.

  • @no1but24
    @no1but24 8 лет назад +8

    So I done this to my 2015 Road Glide
    Pros, sound amazing and only 20 minutes of work very easy.
    Cons, loss of low end torque do to no back pressure, Catalytic converter is during a bluish purple color, it pops every so often do to be ending lean, it seems O2 sensors didn't recalibrate air/fuel mixture, I don't recommend doing this save up for pipes.

    We noticed a gain in power through the whole rpm range the smaller piping coming off the engine gives you enough back pressure you could weld them back in but you will be welding on the pipe thay is chrome on the other side so you will get color change

    • @coffindancer38
      @coffindancer38 3 года назад

      There is no way in hell you gor more power from that motor by taking out the baffles. Think for a minute. Ther is no chance harley designed an exhaust system that chokes power out of their product. You think it has more power becuase its louder. Not a chance.

  • @jinxgtr

  • @AdmiralRustyShackleford

    Why not leave the packing in? Probably has a deeper, cleaner sound to it. Besides, over time I bet it burns out anyways so might as well enjoy the cleaner sound while you can.
    Or you can get more sound by taking the mufflers off and removing the packing from the back to leave the baffles in place, get more sound that way but not be stupid loud with empty pipes.
