Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about this new version of Twinmotion in the comments below! :)
I was wondering why u didn't do any video on this new addition yet.... It's really massive.... Cheers... 🥂 By d way I think 3d warehouse is next...
Hopefully also.
-dynamic windows and gates.
-dynamic snow system affected by car and pedestrian path.
-dynamic sky generator.
-Rendering videos with sounds and music.
Gd video bro
Biggest lack is it should import sketchup model as it is
We can collapse by hierarchy
We can collapse by material
But then also we can't apply some specific material to a single surface like we can apply with escape or vray
Twinmotion should have option to categorise model same as we are importing from. At the moment it is impossible if we don't have sketchup and we have just twinmotion we can't apply material to specific surface, but we can apply to whole object or by material as already assigned
@@zubair8286 u have a point there... A minimum uvw mapping and mesh editing would be cool
You missed the part about the grouping of Sketchfab objects on download. If you select the item you want to download, you'll see what sort of license it is. It also allows you to "Open in Sketchfab", using your Epic account. Once there, you can download the gITF version of the model, which keeps the heirarchy and allows you to separate parts and pieces of what you actually want to keep and/or manipulate when you import that file in twinmotion.
@@Kainis80 I mean at that point, you're just downloading directly from SketchFab then doing an object import, right? It's kind of a manual process, which is good, but I'm not sure I'd consider it a new 2022 feature other than glTF is now supported, but it is a good workflow if you need those parts/pieces
Awesome video, it's great for what you do to the Rendering community. 👍 The sketchfab implementation is a very useful addition...
Great Video. CG. In your opinion which has the most complete collaboration with Rhino? Twinmotion or D5render?
Great video Justin!
With regards to handling textures from cache in Direct Link, there used to be an issue with Twinmotion files (synced via Direct Link) that would lose some of their model textures when a user reopened their file the next time. This was because of how the textures were stored in a temp folder that would be discarded each time TM closesd. This new feature solves this problem by creating a user-accessible cache folder that persistently keeps these textures until the user deletes the folder.
With regards to the gizmo colours: in versions prior to Twinmotion 2022.2 Preview 2 the gizmo was orange/black on all axes.
Ok got it - that makes sense - I kind of wondered if it wasn't related to the losing textures issue, but I didn't want to make that claim with no actual knowledge. Thanks very much for the info! :)
@@TheRenderingEssentials Sure!
You had thought right there 🙂
I’m quite excited for the direction Twinmotion is headed with all these great features.
So is it still not possible to export render elements, or channels, such as alpha, material id and so on..??
Some great features! What bugs me is that there's still no rendering elements? That's such an inportant part of the process...or am I missing something?🤔
I can’t open my sketchup file in lumion …. It shows fatal out of memory…. But there is enough graphics ….. please help me🙏🏻
I'm hoping there will be something big coming from the Chaos group soon, otherwise I'm jumping ship to Twinmotion.
Hi can't open Sketchup file, how to open
You need a knife to open sketchup file
I cant download the object
Hi Justin..does twinmotion support ies/ldt/ uld formats for lighting?
IES is supported
twinmotion or UE5 which is better for archviz in your opinion?
I’d say: it depends with the type of user you are and what result you’re looking for.
Unreal Engine is more for an advanced workflow - Twinmotion provides a simplified version of this workflow and delivers quicker results with easier access to tools that you’d otherwise spend more time setting up in UE.
If you’re asking from a quality perspective, Twinmotion 2022 now has path tracing, so unless you specifically looking for a workflow or feature that only UE5 can provide (e.g. nanite, world partition, etc) you can achieve what you need in Twinmotion. Note that this is an oversimplified answer, but I hope it helps address your question. 🙂
I would agree with @Bee-am's assessment in this situation :)
@@Beeam3D thank you 🌹
Great
:)
They seriously need to fix the wind effects. It's been three or four versions I think at this point and the wind slider does nothing.
Doesn't it make the trees that have animation move around?
@@TheRenderingEssentials It hasn't really done anything since version 2019. If you slide it all the way up you can see a very small difference in the speed at which vegetation moves but nothing like it was in version 2019. It's not a deal breaker for projects that I typically do but for others that do things along a coastline or anywhere with higher winds it might be
Novice user here! Please explain how to design a kitchen in TwinMotion from SCRATCH. Do I really need to draw every line in Sketchup like that other fellas video then download that then import it into Twinmotion? That's too much. I am frustrated with software forcing me to do things I do not want to do or simply cannot do. Please do a simple kitchen design in Twinmotion from scratch with no importing. Otherwise I'm gone. I cannot!
Hi...is it still free ?
I'd check their purchase page - at least some version of it is depending on your useage
Write lumion falling fast behind
