I think the light staying on, on one side is a parking light, which comes on if the indicator is on, on that side, and you take the key out. Just turn the indicators off when you stop and it might stop doing it.
I was about to post the same thing, it's designed that way. If you park on the opposite side of the road approaching cars cannot see your reflectors so you put the indicator on, road side, and turn off the ignition. This leaves the side lights on on that side of the car.
Fun vlog😊. Travel Hack... wear those thin plastic tourist coats over your main coats.. then your coats and clothes stay dry underneath. The thin plastic coats you can shake most of the water off and fold wet side together, put in plastic bag at the front of the van on the floor... so less wet stuff in back of van, less wet clothes to dry and less moisture/condensation in van... my kids and I did this on our 3 week road trip in the UK in the summer.. it was great. Plus we always had the coats with us.. so on days we had no other coats (because it was warm) with us, we could just throw them on for the rain shower and then take them off again after. We will never travel again without them. Ps. I use a small micofiber travel towel to wipe them dry...that also dries quick in a case/cover.
The Kelpies - I travel down from NE Scotland to Falkirk every month and pass these magnificent sculptures while visiting my Mum. I never get tired seeing them and in total awe of how gorgeous those sculpture really are (the night lights are amazing). Beans oot !!✌😊
We have something here in the us called “rain suits” - I think Noah may have had one but it’s a must for a crawling baby! My crawling baby loves getting wiggles outside in it. Keeps her dry and allows her freedom
We had the same rain but at least we were in a house and I once spent 24 hours in a tiny tent due to rain. But several days in a camper sounds like no fun at all, so the fact you keep smiling is amazing. And Noah seemed fairly oblivious too. Your next stops are, I hope, a tour of Scotland's best waterfalls, all of which are brim-full after the storms!
Like I wrote on Craig and Aimee’s: The Beans are Kinging it! And now you can hang out on their homestead. I imagine all the bus/van RUclipsrs blog form a massive meet up.
Hi Guys, The headlight staying on is not a fault. It's a parking light that is controlled by your indicator stalk. You had left your right indicator on as can be seen when you started the engine. Had you left the left indicator on the left headlight would be illuminated. It's a thing that VW had on older models. Hope this helps and I hope it makes sense with all the lefts and rights 🙂
You made me think of something my uncle said after he retired. He he was designing their next home without a kitchen because my Aunt also decided to retire & was no longer cooking 😂 Great video. May God continue to bless y’all & keep you in His loving care🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Awesome episode, despite the rain. I honestly don't think I could cope in such a small space with a little baby, so hats off to you! I'm so glad that you didn't face any flooding and you managed to get out, see the sights and laugh about the different types of rain 😁💚
American Elk have antlers some what like a deer. Moose have thick antlers that appear to have a formation between the antlers making it look connected. Moose are usually found eating in shallow marshes land.
If you watch video when you started it the indicator was on is parking mode when indicator left in on position no need for you to take anywhere just make sure indicators are off when parked most cars do it
Travel Beans, you guys always brighten my day, no matter the weather, 🌧️ raining or not, sunny ☀️ or 🥵 hot, you guys always bring a smile 😀 or chuckle 🤭 to my soul!!! Cheers!🥂 🫶🏽 🥰
The light staying on is your parking light which ever way your indicator is on will keep that light on, front and back so you are visible down dark streets when parked
Once again, I’m catching up on videos I missed over the last two months. I just love seeing Noah’s smiles and him crawling for the first time. He’s going to be saying “BEANS OUT” soon. 😊
Another fun video even with the rain, you guys always make the best of it. So good to see Craig & Amiee…I know Craig would have loved to join you for a whiskey. ~Cara 🥰
Enjoy the experience of life it's a good thing you guys film about everything you'll be able to keep those memories downloaded and in your mind your baby crawling for the first time enjoy love
Great video as ever. Love the Kelpies. If you haven't been before try visiting the Falkirk Wheel. You can stay the night there also and they have showers. Alex will loose his s#it when he sees the Wheel that isn't a Wheel in operation 😅
Greetings from Wolfsburg, Germany, where we make your van. It is the turn signal having been left on. It is a safety feature if you are invited to a party and have to park on the side of a tight road at night.
when visiting the Kelpies go to the Falkirk Wheel, it's a boat lift that connects the cannal you were on with one at a higher level. it's great watching the boats being roated up
Your day looked much more interesting than ours after that whiskey! That was such a good episode by the way guys. We were looking forward to it since we met you on the street in Edinburgh. Hope you've dried out! Jonnie and Annette
Hi in most VW the older models when parked and you turn the indicator left or right the right or left front light will turn on its a safety if parked on a lay-by check it and see.
Between Riverside, CA and Palm Springs, CA there are these two giant dinosaur fiberglass statues off a cheesy onramp with a Carl's Jr. and a Shell station, and that is about it. Just out there in the desert somewhere. The two horse heads remind me of that desolate place. Hope you are all three doing well, not stressing too much, and enjoyed your trip to Scotland. When I look at maps it seems so far a drive to take - like 400 miles - but so many people like to go there. I have never been to Scotland, Ireland, or Wales, just spent a couple days sightseeing in London as a child. When I did return to Europe as an adult I never got back to the UK as it was well before the Chunnel and Eurail is a completely separate entity, so it was hard to justify it without picking one or the other. Hope to go back someday and see a little bit more of places like Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. I know it gets cold but as long as you are prepared and stay out of the harsh elements traveling in winter is not so bad.
As others have said, not sure that's an electrical issue, what you might be seeing is the 'Parking Lights' if you move your indicator stalk left or right (ignition off) it will bring on the only the left or right lights. Try that first before taking it to a garage. The parking light feature is for when you leave the van on a very dark road...you can illuminate the outer 'road side' of the van.
We had flooding in New York. And, here in Southern Colorado, last summer. we had torrents of rain. And, now in November it's like summer. I'm sure Scotland gets a good amount of rain; but, it just seems wetter everywhere. Your little bean is so cute. Rain or not; he's on his own mission - learning to crawl. A whiskey is a good way to warm up. Cheers!
My mum and my granny used to put a drop of whiskey into my bottle feed when I was a baby . Just to get me off to sleep . I am not suggesting you do the same with Noah . Really enjoyable video chaps . The inside of your van looks so so cosy . ☔🥣
Hi Beans I love umbrellas you don’t end up with soaked clothing to dry, you have that lovely sound of rain similar to being in a tent, you can take a folding seat and sit with wonderful scenery drinking a coffee and enjoying a cake or sandwich. There is also such a great history of umbrellas in the uk. But there are other makes worldwide with interesting designs/quality. A sound wind proof umbrella from totes or moving up to Fulton with the option of the national gallery or william morris designs again with storm proof versions and a royal warrant, then you have the hand crafted in England by Ince, Fox and Swaine (kingsman umbrella) where you can have cotton or silk in place of polyester canopies , then there is the blunt umbrella which has so spikes to catch so great in crowds or the high quality Davek of New York with lifetime warranty and aluminium handles. These range from £25 through to £160 from totes to Davek and from £200-£1000. For the handmade UK models with all their design variations and canopy sizes. Visit James-smith & sons a purveyor of Umbrellas and Walking Sticks since 1830. Embrace your English heritage and get a quality umbrella.
Envious of your Scotland adventures! I’ve always been fascinated with MacGregor ancestory, my son has been bugging me to go visit Scotland ( he is 8 yrs old) He has grow up Celtic stories of fairies, leprechauns, Selkies, Kelpies etc. They grow so fast, enjoy every moment and snuggles with sweet Noah! ❤
My family while camping would use a rainy day to got to the local stores and shop. Replenish groceries, maybe a treat meal, and learn what else is available in the area for good weather.
And people actually enjoy living there, I bet a lot of them have never bean (see what I did there) antwhere else. Great show guys, Thanks for the tour.
Loving your trip through Scotland! We have been on a trip around England, Wales and Scotland ourselves with our campervan and loved every moment of it. You are doing so great with Noah, getting him used to being a TravelBean 🙂. Our son is doing his schooling on the road, so I am sure you can keep on doing this!
Great video your light issues is probably parking lights if you leave your indicator on when you turn ignition off it will leave that side light on just turn your indicator off when you turn off job sorted 👍 😀
Deffo a parking light! Don’t panic, meant to do that! Saw you were in my part of the world! Ballater! I’m just 12 miles east in Aboyne! Glad you got to see our beautiful countryside, it doesn’t piss down all the time!😉 If you ever end up in the Village of Aboyne, pop in past my Butchers shop and I’ll keep you going with a homemade pie or three! Love the channel! ❤👍😊
We were in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg in our T5 last week. Let's just say the weather wasn't great, and at one point we were getting wet through the window netting in the pop top...

Yes I had a golf and that is correct
Totally agree. Standard on VAG vehicles of that period
Spot on👍🏼
I think the light staying on, on one side is a parking light, which comes on if the indicator is on, on that side, and you take the key out. Just turn the indicators off when you stop and it might stop doing it.
This is so interesting! We’ve never noticed this before now, but thanks for the info!
And is supposed to work like that. Blinker on means that light on for safety.
That's it ! I have the same on my T25 (T3) , made me lose my nerve the first time it happened... But a little thinking around and I found !
@@TravelBeansthat is what that is :)
I was about to post the same thing, it's designed that way. If you park on the opposite side of the road approaching cars cannot see your reflectors so you put the indicator on, road side, and turn off the ignition. This leaves the side lights on on that side of the car.
Omg, how cute Noah is. Loved the smile in the rain and the crawling on the bed. Thanks for sharing
Noah seems to be taking up such great vibes from the two of you! He looks absolutely enamoured with you both and with life!
yes it´s normal on a german car
Raining in Scotland in autumn, who would have expected that! 🤷🏼♀️
Being a Celt, myself, I love your choice of music particularly around the Kelpies in Falkirk. The Highlands are so lovely, even in the rain.
Fun vlog😊. Travel Hack... wear those thin plastic tourist coats over your main coats.. then your coats and clothes stay dry underneath. The Kelpies were amazing. Such a beautiful piece of art. Can't believe Noah is already crawling - that is crazy!
Thank you for sharing his crawling progress.
Love Craig and Aimee so much and happy to see their Scottish house hunt was successful!
Noah is the cutest baby! He always seems to be observing everything that’s going on. ❤
He’s such a curious little boy 🥰
The Kelpies - I travel down from NE Scotland to Falkirk every month and pass these magnificent sculptures while visiting my Mum. I never get tired seeing them and in total awe of how gorgeous those sculpture really are (the night lights are amazing). Beans oot !!✌😊
Omgg i love u guys! Love all ur videos so entertaining and love all the places u travel to!! Safe travels and happy holidays!!❤❤
Yes Noah! Go little guy - crawl your heart out. We love it.
We have something here in the us called “rain suits” - I think Noah may have had one but it’s a must for a crawling baby! My crawling baby loves getting wiggles outside in it. Keeps her dry and allows her freedom

Noah is such a chill baby. My hubs calls him Wee Bean ❤ Adorable.
How can I get a relationship like y’all I’m jealous .just the way y’all look at each other is amazing
Like I wrote on Craig and Aimee’s: The Beans are Kinging it! And now you can hang out on their homestead. I imagine all the bus/van RUclipsrs blog form a massive meet up.
That would be epic. I was so happy for Craig and Aimee this week.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! A CROSSOVER EPISODE OF MY TWO FAVORITE TRAVEL COUPLES!!!
What gorgeous scenery in the Highlands. As for the weather. Wonderful. Wish we could have some of that here.
You made me think of something my uncle said after he retired. He he was designing their next home without a kitchen because my Aunt also decided to retire & was no longer cooking 😂
Great video. May God continue to bless y’all & keep you in His loving care🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
So cool y’all met with Craig and Aimee!
So good to see your smiles !😊 Even going through that for us . Safe Travels ❤️ 🤍💙
You English are hearty souls. You take walks whenever you can. On a rainy day I’m inside all the time.
Awesome episode, despite the rain. I honestly don't think I could cope in such a small space with a little baby, so hats off to you! I'm so glad that you didn't face any flooding and you managed to get out, see the sights and laugh about the different types of rain 😁💚
I love lazy rainy days. 🙂
American Elk have antlers some what like a deer. Moose have thick antlers that appear to have a formation between the antlers making it look connected. Moose are usually found eating in shallow marshes land.
I just love that your videos are all about being real, including getting food at MacDonalds and sleeping near a motorway :-)
Haha it’s all those kind of silly moments that make each trip so great 💛
If you watch video when you started it the indicator was on is parking mode when indicator left in on position no need for you to take anywhere just make sure indicators are off when parked most cars do it
I've travelled quite a lot and Edinburgh is still one of my favourite cities I've ever been
That baby is adorable. Thank you for sharing his crawling progress.
Oh, it's so wonderful to see our charming, laughing tipsy beans! Fair winds to you!
Travel Beans, you guys always brighten my day, no matter the weather, 🌧️ raining or not, sunny ☀️ or 🥵 hot, you guys always bring a smile 😀 or chuckle 🤭 to my soul!!! Cheers!🥂 🫶🏽 🥰
What a beautiful moment to share w/the world and to capture on film of your little bean! He is just the cutest!
Same as my t4, leave indicator on and lights stay on as a marker light, good for roadside parking
I live on Vancouver Island (a literal rain forest) and we also don't use umbrellas. Just a good rain coat is all you need!
The light staying on is your parking light which ever way your indicator is on will keep that light on, front and back so you are visible down dark streets when parked
Looking like Scottish people have been nice this trip and the country is beautiful when not raining.
~Cara 🥰
Love the video, my two favorite couples and Noah is the cutest bundle of joy ever!😊
I love kinging it!! ❤❤
I love the music you chose for the shots of Scotland in this video. Gorgeous!
Enjoy the experience of life it's a good thing you guys film about everything you'll be able to keep those memories downloaded and in your mind your baby crawling for the first time enjoy love
If the world ever end's I sincerely hope that I find a place with 3000 bottles of whiskies!😂😂😂
😂 not a bad place to be in that situation!
i get a premonition with you two, a long life, a loving life, it makes me fill with joy for you’s. ❤
Those of us that live in Washington State don't use umbrellas or sunglasses :)
"Do you smell piss?" Greatest line in Beans history.
My favorite line,”home sweet home, does it smell like piss?” Laughed probably too hard at that. I have old dogs and this entirely too relatable.
I hope your little family finds a perfect home soon!! Noah is ready to crawl for sure!!
when visiting the Kelpies go to the Falkirk Wheel, it's a boat lift that connects the cannal you were on with one at a higher level. it's great watching the boats being roated up
Noah is adorable 😊
Not everything was grey in the rain. After 3 plus whiskeys Alex's face was very red I noticed. 🤣🤣🤣
😂
Your baby boy is soooo Beautiful and HAPPY !!! Do a video on diesel heater, please. Brand, who installed, cost, problems joy, etc. Thank you.
Cute!! We got to see Rooster try to crawl!!!
OMG seeing Noah crawl in the bed was just too cute!
Your day looked much more interesting than ours after that whiskey! That was such a good episode by the way guys. We were looking forward to it since we met you on the street in Edinburgh. Hope you've dried out!
Jonnie and Annette
Yes defo a parking light, both our vws do the same thing whichever side indicator you put on when ignition turned off puts a park light on
OMG! I haven’t seen Craig and Amy in ages. I have missed you guys. ❤ Brilliant that you have all met up.❤Little Noah is soooo Cute ❤
Oh the glamour of winter van life lol ❤
Noah loving life and soon be walking I reckon!
Noah crawling is awesome! So glad y’all are enjoying his discovery of the world!
Love the Celtic vibe background music! It's perfect!
When my daughter visited the Highlands she felt she had come home. She said she had never ever felt this way before.
I love how Alex’s ADHD fires up even more on whisky, just like mine 😂😂 Love this channel. What cool beans you are!
Same! As a neurodivergent myself I figure when inhibitions are lower, so are the filters.
Hi in most VW the older models when parked and you turn the indicator left or right the right or left front light will turn on its a safety if parked on a lay-by check it and see.
Love your happiness and positivity even in very adverse conditions. Love you 3 😍☘️🌺
I just love the colab! Brilliant!
This video reminds me of spending about 48 hours in our motorhome in central Texas in what was basically non stop torrential rain.
Oh no! I think the storms over there can be pretty intense right?
Craig and Amy!!! Yay!!!
Between Riverside, CA and Palm Springs, CA there are these two giant dinosaur fiberglass statues off a cheesy onramp with a Carl's Jr. and a Shell station, and that is about it. You guys and Noah are awesome thank you for letting us watch him grow
Mostly dry and occasionally tipsy Beans would be so much fun to watch!!!!
So happy to see some of my favorite vloggers together! 💕
Glad you weathered the storm. Thank you for your reply to my concern if you were ok.

I found myself with genuine huge grins a couple of times seeing your tiny van fam 💛
Its only that fine rain that gets you wet. Grand scottish weather
After all the rain Portugal must be looking like a great idea now
Great job on this video. The Bean crew has made another wonderful video. Your baby is a great 😊 little boy.

Well
I absolutely lost it 😢 when he crawled. ❤
🥹💛

I love you guys and Noah is such a CUTEY PIE!!!! THEY SHOULD GIVE YOU YOUR OWN TRAVEL TV SHOW. I WOULD WATCH. UR VIDEOS MAKE ME LAUGH SO MUCH.
Seeing the sites of Edinburgh reminds me of my wife and my honeymoon. We did a Scotland tour that started there. Love Scotland.
