Katie is such a sweetheart who's been toiling in the minor leagues for a very long time so I'm incredibly happy for her. She's from my hometown of Walnut Creek, CA as well. As for Ons, not sure she's quite gotten over the devastation of her Wimbledon loss yet but I hope she puts it behind her, gets back to full fitness, and starts playing her best tennis again. She's a wonderful person who spreads happiness wherever she goes and I hope she gets that Slam someday.

Ons is seriously reminding me of a player when I was young. I watched as a kid, a player from the 1990s, and just like Ons, she too reached 3 grand slam finals, she too reached world no.2 and just like Ons, she TOO was sooooo close to winning a Wimbledon final, when she was up 6-7 6-1 4-1 and up 40-0. Then she ended up losing, and even in RUclips videos today, you can witness her breaking down in tears during the runner up trophy presentation. What Ons needs to know is that, that player went on to finally win Wimbledon 5 years after that heart breaking final. That player was Jana Novotna. However, after watching Ons' matches this year, sadly, I dont think there will be that fairytale moment like Jana ended up having. Ons seems so lost and out of place on the court in 2023

The Wimbledon loss sucked the life out of Ons. She seems content to win rally’s on drop shots or risky winners instead of working the points to her advantage. Ons has always played high-risk tennis, largely, I think, because she doesn't particularly like to run. Never has. I don't know why her sponsor makes her dress like that.

She doesn't look masculine, she just doesn't look hypersexualized like, unfortunately, most of the female players on the tour look. Jabeur just looks like a female athlete. Some of the hypersexualizing in female athletes shows up in the way they dress... seems like a response to trauma. Retired female tennis players have started to speak out about some of these issues.
