the points which she plays are just outstanding, some players you can see they think they got already a winner and then Iga takes it and hits a winner! I just love her intensity on the court, motivation, fight spirit and the favourite skill is the possibility of redirecting the ball in the most difficult corner, she is just amazing player!
She is fun to watch. She can't rely on exceptional power like a lot of the bigger, muscular ladies but she more than makes up for it with perfect footwork, court position and accuracy. She has the best 'tennis intelligence' I've seen since Martina Hingis.
I've just had it with these comparisons to Hingis and 1ga's 'making up' for her 'lack of power'.. give me a break. 1ga's one of the most powerful players on tour! I don't have to explain what rotations she gives to the ball do I? Bloody hell.. Comparing her to Hingis who actually had to compensate for the lack of power in her shots is just annoying..
Dont know what to say. Iga Świątek is a gem of our days in Women`s tennis. Yes there are other great players, but Iga is the GOAT. People have to stop comparisons to Barthy, Azarenkas and Osakas of this world. She is passed all of them with number of wins in masters, slams and others
Even as an Iga fan and Pole, let's be honest - Osaka has won 4 slams (AO and USO) which are the most important I think. She deserves huge respect. Iga is wonderful on clay, but she need to prove something a little bit more on the grass or hard court. That's just my opinion.
@@rock1994LA Not really. Both Wimbledon and Roland Garros are the important ones, Wimbledon being THE most important one. Much more heritage and pedigree. US Open and AO are much newer and the same surface. That's why Djokovic surpassed Nadal and Roger. Nadal specialized in clay and Federer in grass while Djoko in hard surface. That's why he coul win more grand slams because two are played on the same surface. Iga already won GS on clay and on hard but she needs to win on grass to join the best.

@rock1837 ok so let's get real shall we? 1ga doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, least of all to some of you overbearing Poles with your obnoxious expectations of her. Osaka has 7 titles. 7. To 1ga's 21. 1ga has 105+ weeks at no.1 to Osaka's 21. Both have 4 slams, with 1ga winning on 2 distinct surfaces, including your precious hards. Osaka is a legend in her own right, but don't compare them. Ever. 1ga's dominance on tour is unparalleled, since Serena ofc. She's a generational player. ENJOY HER WHILE YOU CAN. She's hitting the ball way flatter than anyone else, power hitters depend on good bounce to fire back, and she nullifies that well. And she's quick on her feet
Reminiscent of Chris Evert's amazing footwork and beautiful technique. She also lets her opponents wear themselves out with their use of power hitting.
