I use a sample kit from Amazon. It came with p plastisol, and premixed pack of color. Heat it in a microwave until it hits 350 degrees, make sure ur stir fully. And check out my latest video for how to cut the tails. It’s hard to explain via text
Hey man great channel. Finding some good info. I'm trying my hand at dipping mini tubes for my friends and I. It's been a bit since you made this video and I'm wondering if you have picked up any tips along the way? I mostly want to make sure the front of the tubes come out round, smooth and symmetrical. Any tips at all though are appreciated. Keep up the good work and positive vibes.
I was trying to get another video out to answer the question but haven’t had time. But what I find to work best is to go slow. Take your time and dip straight in and out. Hold it over the cut until the plastic stops dripping. I would try dipping at different temperatures too.
My man, I just got my tube mold. I was wondering how you would compare hand dipping and using a mold. What are the benefits of each? Which do you find more success with when jigging trout? Thank you for the videos always, have a good one!
Nice video..just a heads up if you want to protect yourself from vapors I think you need a different filter for your mask..I believe that one only protects you from particulates in the air
Where do you buy your plastic from? Also the coloring and glitter. I see a lot of videos of people dipping jigs but no one talks about where they get their plastic/color and glitter from
I’m still learning but This is what I use Plastisol : Dead On Plastics and use the worm blend. Pigment & Glitter : Lureworks But sometimes I just go to Walmart and get the cheapest color soft plastics and re-melt them to try new colors.
Thats right ma boi. Thanks for the mention. . Thats my ig name as well. Get at me. An ill teachh you a lil secret to make em tgunner an perfect for your likimg g

What do you use to make your color? How did you heat it? Is it possible to do a horizontal split color? Like white and yellow.

What do you think about mixing some garlic scent on the plastic when it’s melted
That a good idea. I actually do that sometime I just didn't show it in all videos.
Thanks for the content! Great information. Please do a double color video
I have a few other videos that show 2 color jigs

Have you seen my PB Trout video? Those fish were caught on hand dipped jigs. Both work = well. Molds offers consistency and dipping offers flexibility

Your dipping method is legit bro!
Thanks bro!! That is a Jacob's mold hand dipping is easier than it looks

Thank you very much for the tips. Do you have any recommendations?
How do you cut tails.
How do you make the tentacles
I have a video showing how to do it.

The plastisol can be expensive and take a long time to be delivered. So I try to only use it when I’m making a custom color.
@@thecsickfisherman what do you mean soft plastics from wal mart like soft plastic jigs also were those rods from Home Depot 3/16 rods
@@SouthernFisherman Yes any soft plastic lure and yup. Got it from Home Depot
@@thecsickfisherman thanks
I heard u can use bang garlic spray instead of Pam
But I’m not 100% but if it’s true then the jigs would have scent inside the tube
Thanks for the tips. I’m sure it would work. It’s just to messy
