Hook up baits is top jig here in southern california, I say 8 out 10 anglers use hook up baits, the natourious jigs did ok over here in our lakes , bought some extra bags and passed out to share
Daiwa presso UL rod 7-8 $49, daiwa spinmatic 6-8 $49 , shimano sensilite L 7-8 $49 and mustad medmax UL $59 . All this rods are awesome just comes down to personal preference
It was a super fun day out there fishing with you Joe! Had a blast! Almost skunked lol. Good stuff and great video bro! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Joe great video 📹 ordering me some definitely would love to take my wife and daughter there have no clue I watch enough of your videos I should know already Lol 😀 happy Holidays
Btw, is the okuma guide select pro UL on the stiff fast side or the tender tip side? I bought one and it is still somewhere on the air. Can't wait to use it.
I think the okuma guide select pro is perfect in action. More moderate fast action than fast action, but I think that is better for keeping fished pinned and working the bait. Also has plenty of backbone when fighting a fish for an UL. Doesn’t feel like I’m getting destroyed holding a limp noodle for a rod. Haha
Just fished with my gsp76ul today. It is different. Not sure how to explain it. It sorted has that tiny delay when you twitch a jig, the delay is like a buffer that give the jig a more natural and consistent motion. Maybe call it progressive action. High quality components, nice finishing, it is way better than my $150 st croix UL
Great content and looks like you are having a lot of fun. I noticed you were letting the smaller trout go. I see you have it rolling in the dirt and grabbing it with your dry hands removing the slim off the trout. They do swim away but eventually will die bc the slime coat has be removed. Which in turn make them susceptible to parasites. If you letting them go probably wanted to keep it in the water and remove the hook. Still love the video and you killed it. Tight lines!!
How far are you able to throw 1/16 ounce mini jigs on that okuma guide select pro? I've been tempted in buying one just not sure and want to ask someone that has experience using the okuma guide select pro.
I can sling any mini jig pretty far with a 1/16 oz jig head and okuma guide select pro. I haven’t ever worried about not casting far enough. I highly recommend the guide select pro rod. I’ve had it for over 4-5 years now.
I’ve been there twice for 2-4 hours and not a single bite. Tried everything even notorious custom jugs. Micro stickbait from notorious tried it wacky and ned rig nothing, half Synco or stickbait nothing. Notorious mini jigs, spoons, powerbait, red worm. 4lb mono ultra light. Not a single bite ! I have bad luck with trout.
Always lookin like good trout at camanche. But every time I’ve gone there’s 10,000 people on that pond and they be rude as hell. Will literally step right in front of me and cast lol
It’s a super fun lake to fish in my opinion. And there can be a lot of people. Some people don’t have manners, but I always ask to fish before I stand next to someone. Lol

Agreed. I’ve used rods and reels from all prices. It just comes down to what you like and what works for you.
can do a video on how rig with leadhead
I do have one. I believe it’s titled how to fish mini jigs for trout.
Awesome back at it slaying mt. Lassen with the black and gold
You know it. They love that black and gold color.
Hello fisherman, what kind of lake is this?
Awesome job JOE 🐠🎣🐟as usual looks like you have fun. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it.
Nice catch, too easy for you...
Thanks Leo! Sometimes you just need an easy day of fishing you know? Lol
Killing it!! Looks like you never skipped a beat on trout fishing. Nice collab with Shi too!!
Thanks Charlie!

Always fun fishing with you Shi! Not sure how you almost skunked when you caught a limit. Haha.
@@corefishing1 😂😂
Nice work! Funny that the dude in the tube seemed to be following you around, lol.
Thanks! And I have to agree, it seemed like it. Lol 😂
Nice
Thanks for watching!
Fire bro. Gotta get out there with you and shi as well. Good fishing 🔥🎣
Thanks for watching man, and anytime man. We’ll be out there.
Joe great video 📹 ordering me some definitely would love to take my wife and daughter there have no clue I watch enough of your videos I should know already Lol 😀 happy Holidays
Haha. Thanks for watching man, get out there the fish are biting.
Those stick bait that you use, do they like a senko? Do they sink or float? Any salt in it to add weight? Thanks
These senkos sink. Just like a normal senko except these are made by notorious custom jigs.
Thanks for letting me know.

It’s definitely a great rod. I hope you enjoy it!
Hey Joe, do you know when the gonna stock again?
I don’t know when, but they stock just this past Thursday. They usually stock every week.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep that in mind. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I limited out again with power bait the senkos skunked Monday. Funny thing is that 3,1lb fish is only 1 lb of meat lol
That’s awesome to here man, glad you did well. And that’s true. After you clean the fish, there’s usually not that much left.
@@corefishing1 bro go again! They dumped today !

so the lighter the line the farther the cast?
Yup. But I usually stay with 4lb mono. I feel like that’s the best blend of casting distance and like strength.
🔥🔥
What a coincidence, I just ordered that rod last night.
Awesome man, you’ll enjoy that rod a lot. 👍
Hey Joe, when do you use the heavier 1/16 jigheads?
I use 1/16 and 1/32 oz jig heads interchangeably. I just see what depth the trout are at and adjust accordingly.
What lake was this?
Hey joe Where’s location bro
great video which lake are you at?
Thanks. This is Camanche.

Keep at it man. The fish are definitely here. The biggest reason you’re probably not getting a bite is cause you aren’t where the fish are.
@@corefishing1 1.5 or 3 inch notorious custom jigs?
3 inch, but I cut it in half.
Just keep going at it , drop shot rig, have you tried hook up baits.
i mint go on monday
Definitely give it a shot. The fishing has been good.
Aye my friend, those friend hit early morning or late? Or are they all day.
Early morning and late evenings are best, but the trout usually hit all day.
