Rayshio Tile Ik it’s easily the best Scooby Doo show since What’s New Scooby Doo. But still the fact that the show debuted a year after this movie and was miles better says quite a bit
Fred’s actor didn’t want to wear the wig because he said he didn’t want too look like Ken (He said it on the behind the scenes). Also appearently there’s a Velma and Daphine solo film coming out.
Malcolm's intro always cracks me up! So many show have done that spinning intro for their characters but he's just like, "hey, wait! Why am I spinning?"
Hayley Kiyoko who plays Velma in this movie is actually one of my favorite actresses, not in this movie but she was in Lemonade Mouth and she killed it in that one so I love her
I don't know much about her, but she seems like a very talented person. I swear I've heard her name somewhere, but can't quite put my finger on it. Haven't she worked with Owl City?
Robert Russell I'm pritty sure that one came out before this one. This I belive is actually the 3rd Scooby doo movie made. The one were they go to a resort is the first one. (I think)
This movie is just stupid, not to mention for a prequel, it completely contradicts the mindset of the gang in the other movies. Why? In the first movie, Velma and Fred are firmly in the mindset that monsters and ghosts don't exist... yet their very first mystery had REAL ghosts and they knew it from the beginning of said mystery? Yeah. Failure as a prequel and far worse a Scooby Doo movie than the first 2.
*+Jennea Coleman-Cubero* I dont remember shipping them. But i heard in a video by the original creators that Velma was infact straight so it would make alittle more sense. I felt that the most romantic focus was with Daphne and Fred.
@Alex Byrd I remember that! "The 13th Ghost of Scooby Doo" (thank you Comcast)! But Shaggy and Daphne weren't really a thing in the series...then again I could be wrong.
Ian Toegan I'm guessing Mystery Inc. became so popular, for merchandise purposes, Shaggy started his own company, but decided to sell it because running his own company wasn't his bag
Couple of things. 1) I noticed he didn't point out they still do magical elements in the live action movies like he did for the first 2 films. 2) To be fair, in basically every version of this show, the culprit is always the person we forgot about at the beginning, he even mentioned it in his Sailor Moon review. 3) I actually don't mind the attempt to give the show an origin story, and I also enjoyed A Pup Named Scooby as a series though I wouldn't call it the best version. 4) I forgot for like 7 years Cartoon Network basically had nothing but live action shows during this era, and so many horrible memories of bad shows returned in that brief montage. And 5) At least this gang wasn't as unlikable as the original movies' gang, and for a tv movie their acting is pretty decent despite not looking exactly like the original characters.
16:20 's attempt to describe what huckleberry hound is thinking is hilarious. *oh ma gawd, oh ma gawd, oh ma gaaaaawd, this ain't the shet! it goes on and on forevur. how did this, film get greenlit?!*
TheMKatStudio Mystery Incorporated was a little too serious and dark for Scooby Doo. Scoobynatural on the other hand was a cross between to shows that worked.
TheMKatStudio it was and crazy especially seeing Dean trying to hit on Daphne and Velma having a crush on Sam because his shoulders. Also Castiel being shocked to see a talking dog after seeing so much other crazy crap.
**scoffs** Well that's just.....actually considering the character, I can honestly see that being canon in the cartoon..... Okay, fine, give them a point. Still doesn't balance the scales.
Absolutely, the Zombie Island movie and the Mystery Inc. show are the best of the franchise IMHO. Cartoon Network sucks for not giving it a third season (and it's their fault too, they rushed out S2 episodes like five a week and even screwed up DVRs by having episodes listed as other shows on the schedule). Because at the end of S2 they were headed for Miskatonic University, we were THIS close to having the Scooby gang finally in Lovecraft country!!!

"and i'm leaving you with your favorite friend Roger. HE'S GOING BACK TO THE SCIENCE LAB!"
it took me a while to find out that was Roger RABBIT.
"p-b-b-b-blease! don't worry!"
Doug looks a lot like Shaggy, but not as much as Peanut Butter Gamer
Yeah..............................................And What??
SAYS MOM
You forgot the true super shag, Caddicarus
I LIKE TO SKI!
I fricken love Arthur
Fact: The school filmed in Vancouver for Coolsville High is the same school used for Smallville High.
NitsuaGamer That's why some of the actors used here were Canadian like Gary Chalk the Vice Principal.
NitsuaGamer I smell a crossover.
I was just searching through the comments to see if anyone else noticed. Also the town is the same as well. 6:55 for reference
Ryan Redinger yeah not gonna happen
NitsuaGamer Also, it's the same highschool used in Riverdale(Since the show is shot in Vancouver) So does that mean Scooby-Doo ties in with the DC universe and Archie comics?
The CGI is scarier for some reason and liked this as a kid, I had a sucky childhood actually.
This movie has a better scooby doo origin story then Velma dose
Holy crap, I saw this movie and had completely forgotten about it until this point, I don't know whether or not I should be happy about this.
Nick Clark its like your mind is trying to lock that part of your memory away.
Same here. I had forgotten everything about it. I only worked it out when shaggy and scooby were in the freezer and only then did I vaguely remember it
Same
Nick Clark it’s just a meh thing lol
Same
I'd rather watch Mystery Incorporated than this movie. At least that show HAD surprisingly good character development
at least? you undersell Mystery Incorperated
I liked all of the movies...............But they were like a 6 or 7 to me whie Mystery Incorporated is like a 9 or 11 so of course i will prefer Mystery incorporated
Rayshio Tile Ik it’s easily the best Scooby Doo show since What’s New Scooby Doo. But still the fact that the show debuted a year after this movie and was miles better says quite a bit
It was probably the best Scooby doo ever. They actually tried to tell a long term story while evolving iconic characters.
Ben Wasserman Mystery Incorporated was the best Scooby-Doo show. I miss it. 😢
Holy crap, is Shaggy PeanutButterGamer?
Pilulu mind.fricken.blown !
I wish
I see the resemblance
+Tristan Wait Yes, but it's off topic on this comment chain.
Oh God Your Right.
You know, as anyone would say:
"Live long and succeed in material terms or be financially succesful".
I didn't see the review yet, but I will say that the killer is jules
Sasir I'm guessing it's Spencer.
You're wrong it is the same guy from the last one they even say how the movie they just say the villain up front in the beginning
I thought the killer was Mary Jane.
Velma. No one expects Velma.
They already did that in one of the Scooby Doo movies actually.
Fred’s actor didn’t want to wear the wig because he said he didn’t want too look like Ken (He said it on the behind the scenes). Also appearently there’s a Velma and Daphine solo film coming out.
So the Roger was Roger ?
SilverShion are you talking about me lol jk
Roger roger
roger that.
Roger that
Roger that, Roger.
12:13
Christopher Lloyd: I WAS FROZEN TODAY!
Shaggy is like Andrew Garfield
Fred is like Taylor Latner
Daphne is like Bryce Dallas Howard
Disney65Fan I never thought that while watching it, but now that you say it.... I see it
Well now I can't unsee that.
You're not wrong BTW.
What does that make Velma?
A mature Ariel Winter.
Rose from The Last Jedi
I enjoyed the Clue homage at the end.
If you love Tim Curry (and you do!) then you should watch it too!
THAT IS SUCH A GOOD MOVIE
One of my favorite comedies.
such a dumb movie and it's the best.
The mystery in this one is why the butler did it.
My favorite of all time!
Hayley Kiyoko as Velma.
Just accepting the whole Velma is a lesbian thing now huh?
Yep!! I thought I was the only one
Honestly, they couldn't have chosen a better actress/musician/ beautiful person lol
Rocky Turner but she's too good for it
Living true
Hey Critic. When are you gonna do Scooby Doo: Curse of the Lake Monster
Today!
Terézia Marková
She's a singer and going on tour with Panic at the Disco. I don't think she's worked with Owl City though
I thought she was only a singer, I love her song 'sleepover'
I wonder how he would react when he finds out there is a sequel to this movie
Robert Russell there is?
Henry Goater yah I remember it coming out on cartoon network and it was about the gang going to some kind of summer resort
Robert Russell I'm pritty sure that one came out before this one. This I belive is actually the 3rd Scooby doo movie made. The one were they go to a resort is the first one.
(I think)
Henry Goater no the resort came afterwards that much I remember but who knows it was a wile back when they came out
Robert Russell OK I'll take your word on it.
I know fuck all about the Scooby doo movies so you're probably right
10:15 Best sean ever.
Shaggy: Scooby Doo where are you?
Scooby Doo: *pops out from under a flower* Right hire.
NC: Do people REALLY ship Freddie and Velma?
Me: Why not? People ship Daphne and Shaggy.
*+Jennea Coleman-Cubero* I dont remember shipping them. But i heard in a video by the original creators that Velma was infact straight so it would make alittle more sense. I felt that the most romantic focus was with Daphne and Fred.
I did too but "Mystery Inc" killed it and ShaggyxVelma for me with Fred being a blind idiot and Velma such a smug, possessive witch.
Well, to be fair, there was a time where Fred and Velma were not in the picture...in the spin-offs
@Alex Byrd I remember that! "The 13th Ghost of Scooby Doo" (thank you Comcast)! But Shaggy and Daphne weren't really a thing in the series...then again I could be wrong.
@Some Random Guy Good point.
*Theres a Velma And Daphne straight to video movie for some reason*
... what kind of video?
It was porn wasn't it?
Fun fact, it was made by Ashley Tisdale’s film company............. Wooo..............
LegoMelonz15 it's a woman's top 1 choice for porn, literally.
"Straight" to video they said... XD
So glad I grew up with this and NOT The Velma show
Not a good sign when Scooby ( the protagonist and sweet dog ) looks more frightening than the ghosts...
8:45 The Breakfast Club, I mean Lemonade Mouth, I mean Mystery Inc.
who else is looking for people referencing the shaggy meme
No but now i am
Me
Me
Are you gonna review the 4th one?
MegaSoulHero shut up shut up we did not speak of that
MegaSoulHero How many are there?
MegaSoulHero THERES A FOURTH ONE??
MegaSoulHero WE DO NOT SPEAK OF THINE MONSTROSITY.
I didn’t even know there was a third, HOW THE HELL IS THERE A FOURTH
I remember a Pup Called Scooby Doo. I will never forget it.
Ryan Phoenix In a good thing or a bad way?
I used to love that show 😂
Logan Not the one from Marvel Good way, duh. That show was awesome.
17:00
This joke would have worked if he had, like, screamed or something afterwards. Like, sheer pained screaming at the scent.
Even the 2002/2004 CGI Scooby looks more real than this one
in the other movie Mary Jane said she loved scooby snacks. How is that possible if shaggy made them?
Maybe its not the same shaggy
two extremely identical shaggys, with the same wardrobe choice, van, and oddly similar friend group with the same names lol?
Ian Toegan I'm guessing Mystery Inc. became so popular, for merchandise purposes, Shaggy started his own company, but decided to sell it because running his own company wasn't his bag
P.Z. Arnott That... was very well thought out lol
Alternate universe Shag
Is the Velma and Daphne spin-off also going to air on Cartoon Network?
"Acting is decent." I don't think so...
Then again, TV movies usually suck anyway
...What if they're animated?

16:20 's attempt to describe what huckleberry hound is thinking is hilarious.
*oh ma gawd, oh ma gawd, oh ma gaaaaawd, this ain't the shet! it goes on and on forevur. how did this, film get greenlit?!*
Hayley Kiyoko as Velma? I can't velieve they've confirmed what I've always known: Velma likes girls!
Wasn't she supposed to be lesbian when the series first began but it was censored?
@@TeruteruBozusama you're telling me show made in the early 60s wanted to show a lesbian? Pure bs
"Velma! Likes! Girls! Li-ike boys do, nothing new."
-Girls Like Girls-Hayley Kiyoko.
@@ariadaynes5444 Lmao😂 love that song
Should I tell him there is a sequel to this movie?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Mermaid Boy don't kill him
No let him enjoy himself for a while.
I actually really like Curse of the Lake monster. Out of all the Live-action Scooby doo movies, it's probably my favorite.
I'm a 31 year old man and I'm ashamed to admit the "testing the gas mask" fart joke made me laugh.
I will always remember how the Scooby Plays Caesar joke made my mom laugh hard for a good seven minutes lol
How is Doug not dead from trying to be shaggy
Oh yeah, CN used to do live action shows for a time late 2000s-early 2010s, what a forgettable era that was.
Joseph Dutra The time that Cartoon Network almost gave up on cartoons? That is not forgettable at all.
they tried to become the CW
ajmrowland I meant the shows were forgettable.
Joseph Dutra I remember really enjoying unnatural history actually and when I saw that it blew my mind
Eh At least Scoob has Scoobynatural. And Mystery Incorporated.
TheMKatStudio Mystery Incorporated was a little too serious and dark for Scooby Doo. Scoobynatural on the other hand was a cross between to shows that worked.
Scathach best waifu scoobynatural was stunning
Aaaah! My people!
TheMKatStudio it was and crazy especially seeing Dean trying to hit on Daphne and Velma having a crush on Sam because his shoulders. Also Castiel being shocked to see a talking dog after seeing so much other crazy crap.
Erase those from your mind, that never happened, like Shaggy and Daphne dating in the earl 80s cartoon version.
"Maybe there's another mystery we can solve!"
Yeah, the mystery of who keeps greenlighting these movies.
Scooby Dooby Doo
Where are-GODTHISMOVIEISSTUPID!!
"Netflix and chill!"
Uh, Critic? Pretty sure necrophilia is illegal.
@Dylan Sharp It's been two years, so I don't remember the context in the video itself, but "netflix and chill" is code for casual sex.
So....Freddie’s not naturally blonde?😅
MMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYBE This Was Before He Had His Hair Color Changed From Black To Blonde........Just Alittle Scooby Doo Theory!
He wasn't transitioning at that time
True
**scoffs** Well that's just.....actually considering the character, I can honestly see that being canon in the cartoon..... Okay, fine, give them a point. Still doesn't balance the scales.
Well if it helps, the sequel references his and daphne's classic looks. Who am i kidding, probably made it worse.
6:02 That aged well
I was going to say that.
Does anyone else love Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated?
Absolutely, the Zombie Island movie and the Mystery Inc. show are the best of the franchise IMHO. Cartoon Network sucks for not giving it a third season (and it's their fault too, they rushed out S2 episodes like five a week and even screwed up DVRs by having episodes listed as other shows on the schedule). Because at the end of S2 they were headed for Miskatonic University, we were THIS close to having the Scooby gang finally in Lovecraft country!!!
YES YES YEAH
doctordoom85 Wait, Scooby Doo at Mistakonic University!?!?
...fuck Cartoon Network...
I did, especially how Velma had Peridot levels of sas
me
The fourth one strangely does better than this one does
edt49er there’s a FOUR one!
I want to see him review Scooby Doo and Kiss movie.
Better yet Scoob-tober where he reviews all Scooby Doo movies.
Gracekim1 yes it's called scooby doo curse of the lake monster
Gracekim1 it’s the direct sequel to the prequel
7:07 I'm so glad you picked up on this, this really bothered me when I saw it as kid.
And yes, it is scarier than the ghouls itself
The original scooby doo were actually my favorite show ever
19:34
thanks mate. now we got another creature to take care of with our boomerangs and our knifes
Nice! A Nostalgia Critic/Peanut Butter Gamer collab!
+Game King I was ‘t planning in watching this video, but after reading your comment, I HAD to watch just to make sure that PBG hadn’t ACTUALLY collared with Doug Walker. You scared me, man! XD
macgeek2004 Lol, didn't think I'd full someone.
I thought he quit . I understand that they pre make episodes I didn't know that they would make so many if that's the case.
WAT?
lmfao
Can you review Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo?
Nostalgic Chamber Productions so your saying that Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo is a bad movie. If you are then you suck
but thats a good movie
Patsy Pearson Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad movie! When the Nostalgia Critic reviews a movie, he'll say that it's either good or bad.
@18:39 Me: *Slowly raises hand*
Shaggy x Velma shippers *pull out tons of weapons* PUT THAT DAMN HAND DOWN!!!
Me: *Slowly lowers hand*
Wait, so who was ACTUALLY complaining about the wall color? I haven't read anything about the wall...
I have read a lot about the wall. Mostly from Donald Trump.
Trygve Plaustrum there was a time when people were complaining about that but know it’s just a joke
Trygve Plaustrum It’s in reference to when NC was “rebooting,” as it were. The wall was yellow back then, and people just couldn’t deal with a white one for some reason. I think there’s a funny joke about it in his “The King and I” review.
people have been complaining about the wall color since like 2009 it's insane!
It is more of a joke, people don't complain about it anymore. He is just mocking the people who did.
