While I do have a bias and likes the original, can we all appreciate the fact that the Turkish version does the remake justice? Like American remakes of Korean films are hot trash but the Turkish version of Miracle did it justice in its own way and flavor. That is something I can get behind.

YES, oh gosh, I've seen the Korean version and just saw the Turkish version today. So utterly heartbreaking with not quite as much as the anger-triggering stimuli the Korean version did to me. WIth this Turkish version... just from the WAY they DID the film, certain scenes, etc and other differences... this film set a new record for me... it made me cry between 5-6 times (I actually lost count!). Before this film, the MOST frequently I've EVER cried DURING any film was twice (and that was "Interstellar"). In this film, the "12-minute mark" actually didn't get me, but later, during a certain scene that involved a bird... THAT did. As well as 5+ others.

I saw the Korean version a few nights ago. That was THE HARDEST movie I have EVER watched. I don't think I've ever seen such disturbing, heart-wrenching (and most of all for me, anger-inducing) injustice portrayed that way in a film before.
Here's something I've noticed about myself: Although I usually enjoy tearjerker movies (ever since "Inside Out", when I noticed that feel-good brain endorphins can often come along with tears)... BUT if there are ANY significant feelings of anxiety OR anger in me, it usually has the effect of suppressing external tear shedding from me for some reason. And there was DEFINITELY a lot of anger from me during this film. There was ALSO a lot of extreme sadness in me, and those two emotions were competing and fighting like crazy... the sadness was fighting to get out, to let the tears make an escape (and I consciously was WILLING to let them...) but the anger was NOT letting them.
    ...and the anger was winning.
I was really hoping to get some catharsis by the end of this film. I am well schooled on the health benefits of tears, and the health detriments of anger (and detriments of repressed emotions in general.)
Even as the credits were rolling, tears kept TRYING to come but all my "Anger" wanted to do was keep saying "NO" at the movie.
I tried again to cry as I wound down to go to sleep. Still couldn't cry.
I got to sleep soon enough, but woke up randomly at 3am and I NEVER typically do that. Took a few seconds to remember what I'd watched just before sleeping... and again wanted to cry but anger still wouldn't let me.
Repeat with around 8am (remembered what I watched, tried to cry but couldn't because I started to then remember the anger, went back to sleep. Then finally got up at my normal 9am wakeup call.
I started watching others' RUclips reactions to the movie, and STILL wanted to cry but couldn't.
I had never felt so emotionally constipated [lol]
Then FINALLY I started to make a comment on one reactor's page about how "I might have been able to shed tears if the movie had ALSO shown SOME sort of punishment being assigned to the person who had intimidated that innocent man into confessing. I know that wouldn't bring the innocent back to life, but at least it would serve as a signal to OTHER authorities that such behavior is NOT ok (even for those "in power")... so that it might not needlessly happen AGAIN 😢"
When I thought / typed THAT... for some reason only THEN was I able to cry, FINALLY. Emotions are definitely strange!

I had a VERY frustrating reaction to the Korean version... here it is:
So, I saw the Korean version a few nights ago.

UPDATE (to my comment about a month ago): I just today saw the TURKISH version of this movie (a month ago, I had seen the Korean version). While the main themes were the same in both films, there ARE enough differences between the Korean and this Turkish version that I would say it's totally worth it to watch the Turkish version after the Korean version (or, even just the Turkish version). I am not 100% sure how I would have appreciated watching the Turkish version first, and then the Korean version afterwards though. Without giving away any spoilers, I think I can say the following: IF you find my other comment from a month ago, you'll see that my anger from the Korean version outweighed my sadness and I actually could not cry to the Korean version (although I've heard OTHERS usually do).
When I saw the Turkish version though... just from the WAY they DID the film, certain scenes, etc and other differences... this film set a new record for me... it made me cry between 5-6 times (I actually lost count!). Before this film, the MOST frequently I've EVER cried DURING any film was twice (and that was "Interstellar"). In this film, the "12-minute mark" actually didn't get me, but later, during a certain scene that involved a bird... THAT did. As well as 5+ others.

For those people that didn't know I think this movie is definitely inspired by the original korean version of miracle in cell no. 7 since the movie came out in 2013. This movie also has a Philippine version which follows the same storyline. But each time I watched the 3 different versions they just have difference in the way how actors portray the characters and that what makes me hook everytime but if I have to choose between the 3 versions I would choose the original or korean one because that version just really hit me hard and you can really feel the characters vulnerability more especially the lead character who is portrayed by one of the best actress in korea Park Shin-hye so I would also recommend you guys to watch the original version too 😍

Yeah let me tell you, I WANTED to cry that hard from the Korean version but it was SO anger-inducing that I actually couldn't (I cannot cry when I'm angry). It was like "Sadness" and "Anger" were having an epic battle in my head... it was quite uncomfortable actually. But from this Turkish version, it got me 5-6 times (I lost count). That's a new record for me- before this movie it was maximum of twice (i.e. "Interstellar").
