Thank you Deborah for you information. I came across you channel trying desperately to find information regarding why my hands, elbows, forearms hurt so much as a result of work. I have been on LTD now for just about 3 years and you gave my situation a name, RSI which include, De Quarvains, Tennis Elbow, Golfer's Elbow, Tendonitis from fingers to Elbow, by lateral. Sitting in front of a computer and what caused it and triggers it, however, it is now Chronic. I has been frustrating, draining, depressing and everything else that comes with this condition. On top, here in Canada, I'm still trying to prove to WorkSafe that I injure myself at work during covid time, under stress with a work overload that no one listen to. I'm learning from your videos a lot but I'm find a hard time figuring out my new career or even better how I can get back to work. I love working:)
Thrilled you found the information you needed Maeli! I know how hard it is for people who love to work to be out on disability. But look at the video that I made on finding a new job here: ruclips.net/video/fzOi7D4kkUI/видео.html and also please consider signing the Repetitive Strain Injury Bill of Rights, here:chng.it/jWc7WZCjRT. I hope that you find good treatment and that you can find your way back to working. I know how hard it is when you can't do what you love. But I believe that people can find a way. Keep me posted.
Great content. Alexandria was most helpful when I was using Dragon and Office! Currently looking to purchase a new computer and am curious as to how you work with a MacBook. Saw your foot mouse video. but what of voice recognition? Cheers!
Thanks! Yes, Alexandria is terrific. Mac has its own voice recognition; see how it works here: ruclips.net/user/liveUlWtel-Tu6A. It also works on iPhones.
I understand how difficult it is to have Repetitive Strain Injury. I have it myself. But please don't let it completely destroy your life. One step that you can take on behalf of others is to sign my petition to end RSI - and share it with everyone you know! Prevention is the only cure and the government needs to take action.
