This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ruclips.net/user/postUgkxkNYRBJuiJ6EwD-tQSAlxg0eFKsnR2cgz I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
At first when this guy was cutting everything with a hand held circular saw, I thought "Poor guy! That would be so much easier and more precise on a table saw, but he's just making due with what he has". By the last part of the video though, we can all see he has a very capable table saw!

He put it together and you see it is very wobbly. The shot cuts to him sanding a sturdier table but there is now a notch in the middle of the supporting panels. The top and bottom panels were not squared up very well and the sanded version was. That is not the same table you saw him build. Sorry. I did not like the design either.
It is the same table (you can tell by the knots near the base). He probably took it apart again to add the notches. Because, yeah, it was wobbly. The joy of editing, right? Same panels, different build, you might say.
A full length mitre joint put together with glue and brad nails is simply not good enough.

Also I don’t believe he showed us the notch in the mid point where they meet!
That is because at first there was no notch (see 8:55). But as this caused the top to not align with the bottom, he added the notch to fix a mistake. I for one would rather they didn't edit that out!

No es la misma pieza...al terminar se ve que no se unen....cuando la pintan o el sello....se ve al centro que estan encrustradas...no se si me explico...(pero bien)
Achei bem legal , moderno e fácil, Ele só não mostrou que tem que fazer um pequeno corte de uma madeira do centro, para a outra encaixar para dar a sustentabilidade. eu testei no papelão e pude ver que precisa deste corte.

Well. there is a WHOLE lot he isn't showing in the build, like the beveled bottom and top edges for the top and bottom, and how they are notched in the middle to level out the top

La construcción se entiende hasta el minuto 09:30", apartir del cual, cambia la estructura en el cruce de los triángulos centrales, que en un principio se ve que mantienen una linea de acercamiento, pero que luego parecen solapadas (o montadas) con algún encastre...Quizás para corregir algún error de escuadra...lo concreto es que esa parte no está explicada...Alguien más lo vé ??? De todos modos, es muy lindo trabajo, original e ingenioso...Saludos desde Argentina !!!

@@cesarchavez5639 you still need measurements if you intend to turn out the same thing. All I want are the measurements. Now if I want to waste material I could experiment and with in a couple of days reproduce exactly what he showed. As he has not replied I guess I will have to waste at least three boards to get the measurements as I have been cleared by my doctor to return to my shop.

Thank you. But the way u were building the stool was different. And out put was differnt. You didnot show us how you fixed them in the middle ..which is imp. So i dont think it is useful to anybody.
He never showed how to do the cut in the middle
Great observation..i guess he made wrong calculations..or the piece itself aint stable..thereby making a cut ajd connection in the middle...we will never know..since no explanation was made
