- Finally bought the Hulkbuster. It was way over priced at the retail price. So I waited for Lego vip days to get that 30% discount. I still didn’t like the design of the Hulkbuster.
Wheen I saw the rebrickable model that Ransom came out with I just had build it! I’ll link those intructions below 👇 they are around $20.00

I'm an experienced moc builder and I have to say, I have no idea how this guy put together an alternate build that's so good for such a huge set, with instructions. It's an amazing feat.

When a friend of mine decided to buy the Hulkbuster despite its crappy design I sent him the video of this awesome rebuild and he immediately bought the instructions and built it. He was super happy and says this was the best investment ever 👍🏻

I only bought the set after I discovered the $20 moc instructions, it's a great display piece
it never ceases to amaze me about the engineering that goes into creating these works of art. This is a good episode to showcase size and scale, especially when it's all completed. Nice job.

Looking forward to building this. Picked up the set (on sale for $385) at the Disneyland LEGO store a couple weeks ago, followed by the MOC instructions several days ago. I also have, and already built, the discontinued 76206 Infinity Saga Iron Man, to go inside the Hulkbuster. Although it should probably go without saying, I will also be building the stand by iTavix.
But, before I can start this, I have two other (smaller) MOCs to build, starting with the the 76240 Batmobile Tumbler (which I'm hoping to pick up today, on my way to work). After that's complete, I'll get to work on the somewhat larger 75304 Darth Vader, which will involve combining together two separate MOCs.
I love putting tail lights on mine with a smart plug that’s connected to power. Hopefully the moc I’m able to pull that off! I bought mine and looking forward to doing it! Wonderful job. Love the video. I just wanted to see the iron man inside if it’s works or not since I bought that too

Great work. Recently bought the RansomFern instructions can't wait to build it. And using command strips for the art seems like a really nice idea. Any idea how long they last before the grip wears out?
Happy building! Its such a great design! I have the Star Wars Darth Vader art on the velcro command strips. That was released in 2020. So it’s still holding up.
I’m still debating if I want to do the MOC build. I’ve already built the original, so I’d have to spend hours taking it apart.
@@rickginsler1834 that’s a tough decision. Taking it apart would be an ordeal. Just the sorting itself and no numbered bags made it a little tough.
@@brookethebuilder well, I have boxes that I can sort the pieces into. It’s just the disassembly that’s going to be tough.

So I took the plunge and started. I just finished attaching the 2nd arm socket (with the big round gear), and other parts surrounding from earlier steps started falling off. Not the easiest thing to build.
ive had the hulkbuster set sealed in box for a year and kept holding off building it and i think cause the universe was telling me to build the alt version

Yes you have to put all the pieces together and sort them. It’s a harder moc build. It’s worth it though! It looks amazing
Hi just got the hulkbuster, just a question on sorting the lego, did you do it by colour and size or by piece...
Nice! Happy building. I always sort by colour and usually big pieces and small pieces separated.

Not a tough build if your okay with technic . The sorting is the no fun part lol Numbered bags are way easier than all the pieces all at once.

I worked on it on the weekends because of work. So I’d say like 3 days total. It is a harder build just because of all the pieces. As long as you organize your pieces ahead of time it’ll be way better.

When I bought the instructions it came in three different pdf files. With 800 pages for each pdf file. I wouldn’t print it personally. Be a lot of paper and ink.

It took me 3 full days. Took my time didn’t want to get a thing wrong.

All you need is the hulk buster set from Lego no extra pieces. The instructions are needed from rebrickable
Aside from the chest portion you mentioned about noting being tough....Can you recall any other parts being difficult Im currently working the MOC after working on the left leg but some pieces didnt feel secure on that leg. Noticing some stress on some pieces
Did you notice any pieces not being secured, felt like you had to force them being together? And I really would hate to start over.. I commend you for doing this by yourself.
I know when I was attaching the legs. I almost put the first one on backwards. Once I realized and double checked instructions it did go on. You do have to force it though with the technic pins. I hope that helps.
Thanks for the reply. Sorry to be specific its on Book 2 of the MOC instructions. Step 1245 the red 1×4 piece is not fitting right. and Step 1358 the 1x10 dark gray (thats the piece that im having the stress push to stay on) Sorry....im just so dissapointed about it

@@albertb.3762 I see! The step your talking about. I think I almost did this to. It’s a red 1x5 not a red 1x4. Does that make a difference at all ? Or is it still not lining up right?

Do the knees bend or articulate well?
The knees do not bend in this moc. But for displaying I think it looks good and holds up well.
Where did you get your sorting trays?
The white ones are from ikea. They are called Kuggis. The clear small ones were from Lego a long time ago. I don’t think Lego sells anymore.

Gotta be honest, I really like the Lego version 🤷🏻♂️ I decided to build if after all the negative reviews and actually once done, I really was like “damn it’s not bad”. Alternative isn’t too bad as well to fair
I never built the original. I know when it came out I did want it day one! But it was so expensive. Then seeing all the reviews saying it was fragile and not accurate. I wanted to at least wait for a sale. Then I found this moc and I had to build it haha glad to hear the original wasn’t that bad.
The moc is alot better look-wise.

You only need what’s in the box for the actual Hulkbuster I only had to add extra pieces for the stand .
