Believe it or not, he was actually walking forward the entire time and speaking backwards. When the footage was reversed, you get the illusion you see in the video. 😂
It’s cause he walks backwards down his stairs more than he walks upwards. He used to fall down the stairs like 3 times getting up there to set up this shot every time, so much so his camera man now has him crawl up the stairs so he wouldn’t get injured when setting up to film.

Ive build your first Mark44, the mini mech iron man and the action figure iron man moc. Your moggs are simply great! All of them are part of my display pieces.
Lego should hire this Ransom_Fern to work on their Marvel team RIGHT NOW.
The artist who made the instructions for this should work at Lego. This is truly awesome. We as adults or hardcore fans tend to over do things because we don’t have to care about cost, weight, manufacturing, etc but using JUST the included pieces is truly ingenious. No hate to the original designer, they obviously had some constraints dictated by Lego or marvel but this mod blows it out of the water.
I’m not even a huge marvel fan but I kinda want this because it just looks fantastic.

I spent 6+ hours tearing the OG hulkbuster down and then sorting the pieces. It sucked but is absolutely helping with the build process
I picked it up at 30% off just this week. Building the OG first so I can really appreciate RF's copy. Good to know an estimate of how long it will take to undo. Thanks!

Ice cold to pure heat. It's truly insane to see how much can be done with the same parts. No weird chest plate, no loaded diaper, didn't skip every single leg day. I watched an hour or two of some of the first piece finding on twitch, wasn't it the actual last bag you opened up to find a specific part? Awesome review, I really appreciate the intense (and fair) criticism of the original set, especially from a LAN member.
I wonder if the designer of the original is still employed? It's amazing that a random MOC builder did a better job using the same parts and coming up with something 100x better. The alt build also doesn't use stickers. This is insanity! LEGO needs to hire this person.

It's crazy that an AFOL managed to generate more sales of the LEGO Hulkbuster by creating a more accurate alternate build.
I'm BLOWN AWAY by the quality of this MOC. And the fact that it uses only the pieces given by the set is incredible.
I felt like Lego's model was so bad that I would NEVER ever buy it : this MOC changes my mind.
It's honestly pretty awesome to see what MOC builders can do with a little creativity

I just built this over the past week and agree this was one of the most challenging experiences (and maddening) to find the pieces in the beginning. Kudos on your LM win as well!
i wanted to see the hulkbusters and got the biggest flex tour of this man's house
A quick search shows the designer is Junya Suzuki, who also designed for Nexo Knights AND...get this...the smaller Hulkbuster released after this which is better, and also all the Marvel mechs and construction figures released AND releasing soon! Dude's basically a mech expert but this is his biggest one to date so I hope there's a good reason on why this set's what it is...maybe cost or corporate limitations but I hope we'll get a better one in the future, taking this great MOC into mind.
It probably wasn't entirely his fault so we can't bash him too much over it. It was probably Lego's corporate entity during production, demanding changes and being greedy with the price tag.
@@Benji568 yeah I mean he's been in all the Marvel mechs we've had since the past few years so he knows what he's doing, and you need to be really good at something to work around limitations, to make use of what you have in order to achieve certain results. For untrained and unconstrained designers not working for Lego, sure we can all go for accuracy but stability or functionality might suffer as with most MOCs. But of course this MOC is certainly a rare gem so kudos to him and I hope the OG designer does acknowledge his work and take this into account in his future designs for all of us to enjoy.
@orien2v2 I'm sure he will if this MOC gets more exposure or goes viral. I'm sure Junya's a great guy because most of the designers are. It's a shame that they can't reveal future plans about certain themes and products like DC or Marvel as its above their pay grade and will risk them losing their job but I'm sure they care about the fanbase even if the men in suits or corporate entities don't.
Ive build his moc of the og collectors Hulk buster, the mini mech Iron Man mogg, and the iron man action figure youve mentioned. This guy is a genius and his mocs are worth every cent.

This is truly a fantastic MOC, when Ransom presented the design I couldn't believe he made it with the same pieces as the set..quite amazing..so I took the instructions and the set and built it all from one breath 😁😍...and in the end I also added a stand I designed that would give the right prominence to a project like this!

I bought the set for 45% off on Amazon prime day the other week, knowing I'd be building the moc (both are the only reasons I decided to make the purchase - $302!!) Finished yesterday. It's amazing! Building the iron man figure next. Glad to see the same pieces left over, pretty sure lol.

Even if the MOC didn't fit the Iron Man figure in it, it's still worth it in every other way. The ability to put Iron Man inside always felt like a gimmick to me on the official set anyways. This has to be one of the best alternate builds ever made in the history of Lego, it's honestly that good.

I wonder if the lighting kits that's out for the orginal Hulk Buster Lego works on the new MOC version
it definitely looks 100% better. but i will say, i was missing probably a dozen (maybe a little more) pieces. i had to swap/alternate colors on some, go into my spares on some, then leave some out altogether. and so many pieces were DELICATE AF to put together. however, still a great build once done. very challenging, though.

I am definitely curious how the official set got approved. Lego is usually extremely impressive about their accuracy and really shows off how talented their engineers are. The official looks kind of like someone gave a kid a ton of bricks and gave him a couple days to build a hulk buster.

I believe that it is still an upgrade even if it isn’t easy , but it’s your choice

ive been thinking about getting this set. would you say it would be better to do the lego build first and then the MOC build after? or go straight into the MOC build from the jump?
At the end of this video, Chris recommends jumping straight into the MOC and skipping the official set instructions completely. Others in the comments who have built the MOC recommend sorting the pieces a bit before getting started, such as by shape.

To me one of the worst things about this set that nobody is talking about is the head. It's just a printed smooth dome. For a set this pricy they could have done a special mould with actual depth and detail to it. Nuh uh.

Well, that's embarrassing. On top of that, I have a better, more accurate kit from China. And to be honest, the price was half, and the quality was 98% of Lego.
