I'll hazard a guess that the custom figure maker didn't pay anything to Marvel / Disney for their IP? If that's the case, then it could be argued that the $150 custom is as much a 'knock off' as the $5 figure.
Knockoffs seem to be really inconsistent with quality. Sometimes they’re decent, sometimes they’re disgustingly bad. Usually if something is printed on Lego parts, the person or company who made it cares much more about quality than the average Chinese knockoff company who doesn’t print on Lego parts
It's 'inconsistent' because there are tons of different companies with different designs, if you know the best companies to look out for them you're fine.

Its hard to believe that the expensive one is from the same person who did the lizard but also £150 is a lot for a minfigure, the closet comparison is micromee based in the UK who sells this at £70 for that it includes the offical minifig and each of 8 pieces that are made from durable resin and paints the parts. A comparison between the ones I mentioned would be nice to see as I personally can't see where the extra £80 difference comes from, I understand that it is almost certainly PAD printed so that would add on between £20-£45 based on CAC prices (camo gregor has comparible level of detail and is £35)
I'd advise caution with regards to the knock-off minifigures. I bought a few from Etsy and had a near-allergic reaction to the plastic. Like, scratchy throat, feeling like it might close up reaction. If you have any sort of reactions or allergies, better err on the side of caution. I mean, sure, I have odd reactions to things like the paper/ink they use on some UK comics (the Panini Marvel paperbacks, etc.), and Halfords has always made my hands swell up and itch (I said odd).
