since this game came out, i’ve occasionally had dreams where i’m playing it and cannot exit the level no matter how hard i try, and i’m freaking out despite the fact i could just take the headset off. sometimes jack black is there.

The good thing about the Freddy mask in FNAF 2 VR is that it covers most of the jumpscare when you inevitably die.

The Trick or Treat game is so dumb, but also it's extremely charming to imagine all of these animatronics just kinda live in the same house. it reminds me of the Smash House fanfic trend back in the day where people would just use Smash as an excuse to write domestic cross-over fanfic between all of the characters.

The "Just stare at the killer animatronics" bit mildly reminds me of Popgoes where you have 2 of the animatronics (technically 3 but a couple of em are functionally identical and stick together) start right in the room you're in but they don't directly attack you, opting instead for more roundabout tactics
I think the logic was they aren't very strong, so they instead chose to use gravity.
The popgoes logic I actually find interesting, they are mechanically programmed to be unable to kill you so they 3D print and create one that can
None of them have the objective to kill you, or move the way you may _think_ they do.
Their objectives are just to impede the scarecrow, and craft Bonnie.
In the first statement, I’m referring to whenever you get jumpscared by any of them (Blake, Stone, Squirrels, etc.). When you have a Panic Attack.
But rest assured, neither Bonnie or Simon are hallucinations. Unfortunately.
It's in reference to actual FNaF 1, where Freddy cannot enter the office if you're watching either his camera or don't have the cameras up at all. Help Wanted's version doesn't have this mechanic, opting to rework Freddy and Foxy, due to the ability to have the cameras up while watching the doors.
I love how Spiff is like the most carefree person ever when doing Bonnie in Parts And Service. He’s in a position where lore-wise, anyone in his place would be the most terrified they’d ever be, but he’s just tossing and catching the components of a killer animatronic that’s probably slain numerous night guards.
What's the lore? I dont know much haha.
@@Trees... well, mostly that anyone working at those pizzerias after hours has a high probability of life not being supported in their future daily updates. After hours is ALSO the most obvious time to do these seemingly relatively quick instances of animatronic maintenance and upkeep, because the kids won’t notice them missing from the shows or being removed or replaced, and ask what’s wrong.

@@markklekovkin348 they’re just virtual currencies with no financial reward or swap. they’re fake little “balls” that collect up as you watch & interact. the more you have from sticking around, the more your point collection grows for you to redeem stuff. so aka, just for fun. :)

That's one of the tricks on how they managed to optimize Help Wanted so much. Too bad when they tried to do the same on SB, it's either broken or doesn't work.

Glitchtrap gets more solid the more coins you get, and closer the more tapes you get. He doesn't actually _have_ a physical form, being an entity of code only, so Peepaw William is the remains of Scraptrap recovered and repaired somewhat by Vanny, presumably with Glamrock Bonnie's parts (if that is the intent than it was cut in all meaningful portions from SB but it's the main fan theory since Bonnie's fucking gone).
yeah, glitchtrap is william afton's remnant (?) that was downloaded from a motherboard, and burntrap is the body.
so glitchtrap is like, the "peak" version of him? Like in the Fate Series, the spirit form of someone is conjured at its peak performance level, while the real person isn't usually as useful. that's the only way i can rationalize it
@@ona512 Yes, that's a decent way to put it. I don't know about that series but Glitchtrap is sort of William's idealized form, minus, y'know, not being physically real.
I always liked to imagine Glitchtrap was a glitch brought to life by William's remnant, and only thought it was William- like an AI that thinks it's the original. The real William is still dead, this is basically a digital mockup of what this sentient glitch thinks William was. This is most likely just wishful thinking though, since i feel Afton's story should have ended with UCN.
@@autisticchopper That does have plenty of merit and indeed could be the case in canon. However, either way, William is such a monster and so far from human that it might well not matter much.

Speaking of cat and fox stories! During the middle of the night a few years ago, we heard what we thought was a screeching injured animal that woke us all up at midnight. Turns out, it was just a fox angry at a cat giving it a stare down. Foxes make the weirdest fucking sounds
Foxes do scream, yes. Many times they're either confused for a cat, an injured animal, or a woman screaming.
Here in the UK, if it's not a fox or a cat, it's either a deer or a hedgehog. There's tons of deer near where I live and for nights I kept hearing this horrific, haunting choking-screaming sound like somebody was being murdered. Turns out it was the deer in the nearby forest fighting for dominance. I mention hedgehogs too though because when they're looking for a mate they make weird noises that sound like a distressed or injured animal with a lot of heavy breathing noises. Animals are freaking weird, man. Imagine if humans did the same thing - you'd go to a bar and just hear a bunch of guys going WOOO WOOO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
It's crazy how much more well built this VR title, AS WELL as it's DLC, is compared to Security Breach. Despite the janky camera, the story seems to flow more consistently, its a hell of a lot more immersive, and the level of detail is surprisingly fleshed out. I feel that FNAFSB has much more potential, but this is the only title that over delivered. Was a fun watch Spiff, thanks for the content!
It's because Help Wanted was way smaller than SB and was a VR title which they're a VR company..they took on way too much for SB and couldn't really finish due to time constraints, if it had no deadlines due to consoles they could of spent an extra year or 2 building the game they intended but now they cannot as what's out is out.

These major companies are usually the final say on this kind of crap. its so weird. i feel like im the only person who was impressed by security breach. yes, it has flaws, but what game doesnt. patches are being worked on, theres not much of an issue there for me. the map is HUGE and _wonderfully pretty._ its immersive, freddy is a character that i got very emotionally attached to, i like the cutscenes, i even like the storyboard cartoons at the endings - apparently thats a point of contention. i even understood the point of making your game unsaveable during the process of getting to the afton ending. like, if you want the true, perfect end, then you gotta suffer through hard circumstances to get it? makes sense to me, its not like fnaf has a history of being easy. i dunno, i feel like people are being rough for no good reason, as if theyre overlooking the good of it just to tunnel-vision in on the bad. hey, im just rambling though. its just so odd to see nothing but negativity. i dont think ive ever seen a single pro-sb comment. it has issues, but my heart belongs to it. easily and instantly replaced fnaf2 as my favourite game.

one night our dad was taking out trash one time in our front driveway and a fox approached him (we live in suburbs, not on a farm or anything) and our cat just. ran in and drop kicked the fox, and then proceeded to chase it off down the road.
though to be fair, our cat is like 50% more Muscle than any other cat in this neighbourhood that I've touched, so that probably had something to do with it tbh

It's not just your cat being muscular. Any cat running full speed will knock over a canine when throwing themselves at it! Seen cats do it to large dogs and knock them clean off their paws then sending those hounds running for the hills! Cats are scary when they protect their owners..The particular cat I saw attack a dog was protecting a child; most dogs run when cats start fighting back like that so I imagine a cat could also ward off a fox if it was determined enough.

The reason why William A goes from athletic cosplay to burnt mf is because the athletic William is just a virtual version of him, sort of like when you change how you look in VRChat or in a different game. There are a sort of 2 William aftons where one is in Vanny’s head and the other is down in the burnt down fnaf 6 except they may be the same entity. Basically William is in 2 places at once that being vanny’s head and burn trap :)

Yes, cold things do contract. Water does too, but once ice crystals begin to grow it actually expands again. So, it contracts until it hits a certain temp (I think it's 4 degrees Celsius), then it expands to make ice.
Also, I have a fridge that tends to freeze stuff on the top shelf. I had a slushie protein shake for breakfast because it froze.

Y’know what I never understood about the “choking down a figurine” feature in this game? The sound is a choking noise & a heavy breathing noise.. but if you were choking, you wouldn’t be able to breath.
It’s such a small thing but it’s always annoyed me.
Well, it's possible to get small gasps of breath in whike you're choking, if the throat is left partially unclogged. Like say, if you eating fluff from a plushie
I think it’s less choking and more so gagging, so being followed by heavy breathing makes a little more sense
you get the figurine down. now you can breathe. it's like choking on a little spaghetti
It's not exactly "choking" it's more like gagging via something lodged in your throat before it moves enough to allow you to breathe..or you manage to get it down/unlodged however by the 3rd go around all gaps are filled and you choke to death unable to breathe.

Nightmare fredbear vr is the first time I’ve ever put down a horror game from fear
Not sure how it is in VR but without VR the FNAF2 section was probably one of the easiest game related things I have ever done. Most of the time I was just chatting with my sister and goofing around with Toy Freddy even in the final night. It was unironically easier than the parts and service section, even Bonnie.
Hey Spiff! I think your videos are pretty great. The editing is solid and I can tell you have a lot of fun making them. They're easy to watch and they're just the right length for my viewing needs, perfect viewing for those times when I'm sitting down to eat a meal and unwinding after a hard day at work. Small suggestion that might be interesting - is there a limit to how far the player is able to move within the game? Like, if you move your head far enough, could you see out of bounds? Or is there something stopping the player?
Ye foxy automatically kills you in fnaf one if you leave the office, but idk about the others
Fnaf 2 you'll leave the play area if you try to, and it's rather useless anyway
Fnaf 3 there's no real reason to, because if springtrap is visible then you're already just dead

LolBit is best character, my opinion. And their jumpscare is on point!!
I like how Vanny's practically a totally different character in this game, from a different mask to a different voice to different complexity of lines spoken. It's like she was gonna finally show up in Security Breach but only made it as far as the trailers when she suddenly died so glitchtrap had to go find a replacement Vanny for Vanny, thus it's secretly Vanny2 in SB.
The original Vanny is actually Mapbot

Edge is pretty good, it's no slower than chrome because the engine is basically the same, chromium based
It puts tabs to sleep if they're inactive for a while, and you can have tabs in a scrollable list on the side, making the use of multiple browser windows with 15+ tabs not a nightmare for your RAM
I also generally disable the title bar, so I have the most screen real estate for the site, topped only by full screen mode
I haven't met a chrome extension that doesn't function perfectly in Edge
