    Splendid finishes and you see the magnificent comfort as Western Star is always characterized.

    You guys are the first to show off it’s truck like this. Sad there isn’t someone to do this professionally. Take all trucks and out them to the test

    "Let's get this thing stuck. And then unstuck." So spin out and sink it for real before engaging rock free and then power launch. Real world mud sand spring thaw soft ground.
    Ps, see TFLoffroad RUclips channel depicting Andre driving the red truck. He said it has an Allison transmission. A grey truck demoed the rock free mode.

    You would never sell me on the ideaology of a automatic transmission in a heavy duty class 8 transport vehicle

      I thought the same. Until I started driving one of these with an Allison. Love it. It’s tough. It will last. When is the last time you saw a garbage truck with a 18 speed?

    Nice model, the passenger seat is a bit poor in comfort, not Mercedes like. For the rest very nice...

    A big windshield may be a good thing, but since I am in a logging truck all day, and rock chip damage is happening quite often, the whole damn thing needs to be replaced every 6 months. Worse case scenario. Not just maybe the half of it.

    Disappointing to see Western Star switch to the flimsy Freightliner Cascadia cab, what a joke.

    • @SimplexSM

      It's not the same cab. And it's all but flimsy

    • @DamnStraightM35A2
      @DamnStraightM35A2 3 года назад +1

      @@SimplexSM What parts are different? Watching again it does look like a different roof cap, but the doors, back wall, and windshield look the same. Dashboard also looks very similar to the current Cascadia. Even the bench seat over the "battery box" looks like the same piece as a Cascadia day cab. I guess they made some structural improvements under the skin?
