      Thanks Spike! Yeah, it was easier than going back to re-record. It seems that in every video there's always one phrase that gets me 🤐

    Wow! It's been a few months since I watched one of your vids and production quality has really improved. Nice work man! Can I ask what brand of spring steel sheet that is on your Prusa?

    I took your course on one of those skill sharing websites, was really really great. They had some other one as well that was awful by some other guy and really hard to understand. Thanks for your hard work helping to learn :) Question: will office hours be for just the models in your course, or for help with models we have created ourselves outside of the program?

    • @DesktopMakes
      @DesktopMakes  4 года назад

      Thanks geblah187. Happy to hear you enjoyed my other course. The office hours will offer help with the models covered in the lessons and the specific tools and techniques used. New material will be introduced each week so I will want to keep the questions focused on the specific material that we cover that week.

      @@DesktopMakes completely understandable, thanks for the reply :) anyone lucky enough to sign up is in for a real treat. I don't think I'd have been able to design half the things I have without your help. Keep being awesome!

    Could you not convert the image to an svg and import it as an svg, edit the dimensions and then extrude it to the desired thickness? Just asking. Im not very good at fusion 360, but I have made logos that way

    • @DesktopMakes
      @DesktopMakes  4 года назад +1

      Hi sinformant. Yes you can do it that way if you wanted to. For example, you can bring an image into Illustrator or Inkscape and perform an image trace to get a vector file that you can export as an svg and then import the svg into Fusion. However, it's usually better to do it all in one program if your able to as conversions can sometimes cause errors. I find that the line and spline tool in Fusion allows for creating most 2D drawings that I may need.

    Interesting video but I still find SelfCAD much easier for such designs.
