    heya, did you check the temps before you sent it off? I might be doing the same thing but instead using the PTM7950 instead and maybe applying K5 pro onto the vrms just to be safe. what do you think? But yeah please do tell the temps after you repasted it.

    Thanks for the explanatory video... I have a question: do you know if it's possible to swap the motherboard of the GA401QC model with a Spanish keyboard that includes the 'ñ' key, and replace it with a GA401QM motherboard? I appreciate any information you can provide. Best regards from Chile.

    Why did you apply thermal paste to the processor instead of liquid metal? Sorry if I explained it in the video, I'm from another country

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  11 месяцев назад +1

      Liquid metal is costly, risky, and breaks down the metals. If there's aluminum, it'll destroy it.

    • @vaidkun
      @vaidkun 2 месяца назад

      because liquid metal is evil, it is dangerous if it gets anywhere, it kills your pc, it's hard to manage shake or drop laptop and it may seep through the foam and that's game over for laptop. it's not worth the few degrees you get from it compared to quality thermal paste or ptm7950

    Thanks for the video it. It helped me out a lot in the process of replacing the both fans since the stock ones started making rattling noises. But now I cannot change the fan speed in the armoury crate manual mode like before. Is there a solution to this?

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  11 месяцев назад

      Glad it helped. I haven't come across this issue with changing the fan speed before, so I'm not sure. Try doing a restart on the computer.

    nice and very detailed video! i wondered why you didnt remove old thermalpaste from the vram and didnt apply new. it's not so important and doent heat this much?

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  Год назад +2

      Usually the vram doesn't need that much cooling. They don't put thermal paste the same way.

  • @rumcajs009

    Seems like you've got the same problem with the corner. That screw seems to be longer than others and if you keep screwing it in, it breaks the corner 😢

  • @adotac
    @adotac 8 месяцев назад

    I noticed from all thermal paste replacement videos, why would you not clean the other old pastes as well? I don't really understand or is it really better to leave them like that? especially on the copper side.

      The thermal pads? Most people don't replace those because it's unnecessary.

I've only used it on desktop computers, I don't really know if using it on a laptop could create some kind of problem. Thanks again for the video!

      @@ItsBinhRepairedhey i'm back with bad news, I've repasted it with the kryounaut and now it won't turn on. I've checked and there's no liquid metal running around the mother board, nothing out of place. The only thing I've noticed is that after mounting everything back on in place (ram, ssd, wifi cables), as soon as I inserted the battery connector back in a little spark came out, I hope I haven't fried anything, especially because I didn't do anything wrong with that cable. There are no leds on when I plug it in the wall, no sign of life when I try to turn it on. Any suggestions?

    hey man, thanks for the tear down, I'm hopefully another 6 months away from doing some maintenance! was upset to see there was no extra slot for SSD. it would be great to hear your thoughts on an optimal SSD for a single build. would you have a recommendation E performance and speed? I've been out of the space for so long time now - despite working on a computer all the time!!!
    And you did say there was an extra slot for RAM right? If so easy stuff :)
    thanks buddy, great video, I saved it so I can come back and watch when it's....."the time"!!
    hope you can advise on the RAM and SSD. I just got a 1TB and an enclosure, not ideal, but simple ;) it's a new laptop, so If there's an SSD you'd recommend, I i would love to hear your thoughts! Or any other upgrades ;)

I had sold it on eBay fully functioning and was returned saying it didn't charge. I've been looking around and had no luck in finding someone who can repair it or tell me what's wrong with it . I was tempted to open it myself but I wouldn't want to damage it. If you're able to take it, how much would you charge?
