The chime is back!!! Well, too bad we rarely turn off our laptops/MACs these days. Big Sur has been a joy to use.
The only problem im having so far is the battery is draining a lot faster than usual.
Same problem! Any idea how to fix it?
Can we talk about the 13” Non-Retina running Big Sur in the thumbnail? That’s some longevity.
Hm. It’s not officially supported, so maybe it was just a stock photo?
@@WooferCooker I saw that Late 2013 MacBook Pro and later is supported (my 15” Retina is late 2013) and the last non Retina 13 was 2014 so maybe it squeaked by. Not sure
In the he next version: Vista, widgets will be able to be placed on the desktop!
And in the next Windows version: brining back Vista Aero glass because Apple decided to go in that direction.
Very well done, the video is informative, your speech is so clean I had no trouble following along even though English isn’t my first language. You really dip put a lot of effort in your videos and it’s amazing!
I needed to speed up the video 50%
It’s like he downed a bottle of NyQuil before recording this video 😴
Updates takes longer time than usual, but I like it, feels fresh
Every Tech Reviewer: Ewwww!! Ugly icons.
Literally anyone else: Neat! The Icons are different.
Seriously though. Nobody would have batted an eye on icon design unless tech reviewers brought it up. I get that you need content, but it just makes you look pretentious. I guess it's your job to sweat the little things though.
Designers love the icons
wrong..the icons were the first thing that came into my mind.
gross...hope they would chance this.
I like how the thumbnail has one of the not supported macs...
“Tezla Model Y”
I will never forgive apple for removing the ability to have a calculator in the sidebar.
I'm tired of flat design. Everyone's on it these days. I prefer these icons, they feel fresh.
Safari tab preview was already a feature of the Mac OS Catalina, as was the universal clipboard.
Does the Big Sur finder sacrifice any functionality for simplicity’s shake or is it just a reskin?
Literally all anyone should care about
reskin
Maybe an unpopular opinion but I like the 3D-ish icons
my old retina 2014, take longer time to boot from restart/power on, (clean install), this make my worry about later when I install all my apps
I’ve always updated ASAP when a new macOS was released. Not sure with this one. I have a retina 15” mid 2015 and all the graphic transparency and effects make me wonder if it’s going to keep run smoothly
a lot of things are broken.
Big Sur needs to work. Performance took a big (huge) hit.
@@tmscrs You can turn transparency off
24 hours later update, using Big Sur with Adobe CC, no problem at all, I just want a touchscreen to use it, looks like a distro of Linux that I use on a Chromebook Deepin OS.
i think all the performance issues are fixed, there were server side issues during the initial big sur release which makes all macos versions (not just big sur) load slowly
Thank you for this review! If you hadn't mentioned the 3D icons I probably wouldn't have even noticed. I'm going to remove Chrome right now!
Flat design from 2013 isn’t modern. In the technology world, it’s rather dated.
But the shadowy 3d look is definitely sore on the eyes
Neither flat nor 3D are modern or outdated. Apple keeps going back and forth in cycles-it's just a matter of aesthetics and personal taste.
It’s unfortunate that spotlight has lost the cool feature of giving previews of the contents in the search results.
Bro, what are you talking about? I'm loving the icons!
He is saying his personal opinions ....
Am I tripping or did they take away the battery percentage in the menu bar? Like I literally can't see it unless I click it
they did, it drove me crazy too. you have to go to System Preferences > Dock & Menu bar > Other Modules > Battery, then check Show Percentage
they did omg. irritates me so much ugh
@@elyk666 Thank you 😅
Just wanted to know what is it
Those icons are BAD!!!
and too big... (for me)
I genuinely liked that realistic icons rather than those boring flat icons
this was the worst review of anything i've ever watched on youtube
