The Suns lost as a team, everybody played a disappointing final 4 games. The Bucks won as a team. Giannis was definitely the MVP, but Dre Holiday and Khris Middleton played a big part ESPECIALLY games 3, 4 & 5... also PJ Tucker and Bobby Portis made a huge impact.
@mike Walters when Giannis scored 50, it is hard to give more credits to Middleton and Holiday. Giannis wasn’t being selfish. Middleton and Holiday had many opportunities to score. Holiday took 19 shots and only made like 5 or so.
@mike Walters this post is literally acknowledging that it was a team win. We say their names and what the contributed. What more do we suppose to say about them. If you think they’re gonna get the same praise as someone who dropped 50 points & 15 rebounds then you’re delusional. Stop reaching

Giannis completely dominated this game. Give this mana huge amount of praise, especially since we all thought he was done for the year like 2 weeks ago.

This performance will be remembered forever. The finals itself will be remembered forever. Giannis should be a national hero for saving the NBA from the whole super team BS. Well deserved
That's what I was saying last night, the free throws, plus he was hitting midrange shots with confidence that I hadn't seen from him before, he was pulling post moves I've never seen him do before.. I feel like next season he'll be even better
This is one of those situations where a guy literally willed his team to victory. It was a joy to watch the momentum build and see this guy make basket after basket when he was clearly exhausted. He was all over the floor. An absolutely epic performance.
I don't know about the close out game specifically but Giannis to me had the greatest finals series of all time...tell me another player that has had all the icon plays Giannis had in this series...Game 1 chase down block after hyperextending his knee...back to back 40py games in Games 2 and 3...The block heard around the world in Game 4...The Alley oop dunk to seal it in Game 5 and the block party and 50piece in the championship close out game and even hitting free throws and fade aways to exorcist his demons...not to mention having team mates that can give you 30 one night and disappear the next...Tell me who did it better?...I get the case for '16 Bron but still taking Giannis.
Flash Gordon But Lebron also had a slight advantage because KD was injured towards the end of the series, Steph wasn’t 100% healthy either, and Draymond was suspended
Almost unfair for the Suns to have to play against a one man, Superman team. The before and after photos of Giannis gaining 50lbs+ of muscle, power and strength is more than scary impressive. He should share his body building routine with the rest of the league so they can all catch up. Giannis could have a career in the WWE when he tires of BB. SMACKDOWN! Greek Freak!
There's no secret...He worked out for mass, was already on a testosterone analog(as most of them are) and is near 7 ft tall. 50lbs is nothing with those conditions. Any of them would just need to add weight training for mass.
Im happy for the Greek Freak and the fact he did it with the same team that drafted him. The fact he did it on his 1st Finals appearance too plus no real superteam it was beautiful to watch. Im a old school kinda guy it was like 90's too me lol Congratulations to the Milwaukee Bucks 👏 🙌
Skip was talking about magnitude of the moment with MJ but didn't Giannis have the same situation? Game 7 would have been in the Phoenix desert with a really tough building to play in. Giannis having 5 blocks alone is spectacular but add the 50 points and 14 rebounds and it's an all time masterpiece.

Yeah being wrong isn't the point though, though you casual couch potatoes try to make it about that all the time. It's about formulating a prediction with evidence, and generally Chris makes reasonable predictions from what we've seen SO FAR. It's not a blind shot in the dark. A star player can completely turn their engine on unexpectedly, injuries can rear up at the wrong time, etc. It happens.
MVP of the All-Star game and now MVP of the NBA finals. I can't believe the year Giannis has had. I'm so happy for him though. He certainly deserved this one!
Giannas has figured it out ! Will he go this hard ever game now.? I think the whole team figured it out. They had a aha moment.! Nothing will stop the Bucks they found their rythm. Even when the Bucks are behind a few points down you know they will never give up and bounce back. After, Giannas got injured people gave up. I knew the Bucks would make it to the finals. I have never seen a team in history adapt so fast from injury and defeat in the finals. It was like a miracle!.
What’s unfair is that Skip and other compare these every great players style of play, and approach to the game to how MJ played and his approach. Meaning MJ took the last shot so if you don’t then you are somehow diminished. I’m a huge MJ fan but looking it that way doesn’t allow you to appreciate the unique way that other great players play and their approach. It seems like Skip has to learn that you can still think MJ is the GOAT but still appreciate other great players without trying to diminish their performance, saying things like the defense strategy wasn’t good or the constant nitpicking.
@@rogerdragao3508 I disagree but if you didn’t see MJ play and you don’t know his resume there is nothing I can say that will convince you. I would however say look it it up
@History Eraser Button if you didn’t watch that NBA with those rules and MJ’s career and the way he dominated offensively and defensively and mentally then I can’t convince you. It would be just a wasted effort on my part. The game was different then more physical, possibly slower but you could really play defense in those days to the point of crossing the line physically in the playoffs. and despite not being as tall as Giannis or as physically gifted as Lebron he dominated more. But again if you didn’t see it, it won’t resonate
I don’t think skip diminishes other great players. But if ppl say another player is the greatEST, or a performance was the greatEST he will compare it to what he thinks was the greatEST.
@@rogerdragao3508 this is how I know you’re young, MJ’s 45 in the 1998 Finals and Magic’s 42 in the 1980 Finals (while starting at Center) are much better games played than any of LeBron’s. LeBron is a top 3 player, too. I’m not hating.
6:32 This is lazy analysis. 2019 Bucks are not the 2021 Bucks. 2019 Giannis is not 2021 Giannis. The Bucks (despite their poor 3 point shooting) are a better spaced team. Jrue Holiday isn't Bledsoe and they are putting Giannis in different positions on the court to make it harder for teams to make a wall. And even if they built the wall they didn't have the personnel of maintaining it like the 2019 Raptors. They don't have Lowry, Green, and Kawhi at the perimeter with Siakam ready to help, Gasol and Ibaka waiting at the rim, and the 100 other defensive coverages Nick Nurse showed at the perimeter 6:37 Giannis was actually elite from mid-range this series and borderline elite this who playoffs.

Giannis is a beast right now and people are just going to have accept that and that he has been one of the best players in the nba over the last three years
Middleton stepped up big in the Hawks series. And Holiday has proved to be more effective than Bledsoe in the playoffs. And of coarse, Giannis is in his prime. Then you have Lopez and Portis sprinkling in a few amazing games in the playoffs. The chemistry of this team is really good. Unselfish basketball and hustle.
Timmy Duncan closed out the 2003 NBA Finals in game 6 with: 21 Points 20 Rebounds 10 Assists 8 Blocks (should have been 10 but he got robbed) That was the most dominant close out game I’ve ever watched.
@@bbarns6431 Giannis doesn’t deserve to be mentioned alongside Tim Duncan. He’s a great player right now, sure, but do it 4 more times and then we can compare him to Duncan.
They keep underselling how many mid-range and short-range jumpers Giannis hit! It's not just Giannis at the top of the key every possession. This better (more experienced/seasoned) version of Giannis coupled with the Bucks' new pick-and-roll schemes would've given that Raptors and Heat "Wall" more trouble. Plus, Suns didn't have the size and big defenders like Raps - Gasol, Ibaka, Siakam. C'mon Skrrrrrrrrip!
I like Broussard's expression when Skip the Hater says that Gianni's intangibles are not that strong. @Carl The One why bring Lebron into it when the comment KD v Giannis

I disagree, KD beat Lebron arguably the goat , in 2017 Lebron had kyrie, love. And beat him in 2018. KD 2018 championship is valuable too
KD Brooklyn ring will be more valuable than Lebrons Giannis Dirk Duncan combined.
The bucks are not a superteam but to me Holiday is a huge upgrade over Bledsoe no doubt.
Naw G . G WENT HARD .and CP3 made his numbers .. u can't say cp3 didn't rock and u can't say the rest of the bucks made a statement

Lopez was a factor in the playoffs too, especially when Giannis was banged up against Atlanta.

The thing is bron played a way better team so I gotta give it to him

Almost unfair for the Suns to have to play against a one man, Superman team. The before and after photos of Giannis gaining 50lbs+ of muscle, power and strength is more than scary impressive. He should share his body building routine with the rest of the league so they can all catch up. Giannis could have a career in the WWE when he tires of BB. SMACKDOWN! Greek Freak!
There's no secret...He worked out for mass, was already on a testosterone analog(as most of them are) and is near 7 ft tall. 50lbs is nothing with those conditions. Any of them would just need to add weight training for mass.
Couldn't most NBAers have a career in WWE? It's a step down
Captain America?
Giannis has grown 3in (6'8" to 6'11") since he was drafted. So there is going to be some inherent weight gain because of that as well.
Finally Giannis getting the praise he deserves 👏🏽

MJ changed a lot of things. Good and bad. Doesn't matter that Middleton is the closer, Giannis is the man
