    Curry won with Harrison Barnes at SF, with KD at SF, and with Wiggins at Small Foward. You couldve put PJ Tucker at SF in 2017 and 2018 and Curry and the Warriors would have still won those rings. Curry never needed Durant it was a luxury and Wardell Stephen Curry gifted KD those 2 rings.

    • @unspeakablyawesomebros3392

      They weren’t winning 100 percent in 2017 and 2018 with PJ tucker being replaced with KD. They weren’t beating the 2017 cavs and in 2018 they would have lost to Houston. KD was an integral part of those team, stop discrediting him. He was the best player on those warriors. He isn’t the same guy anymore after the Achilles injury, he is still good but not prime kd.

    • @kunalsingh4418
      @kunalsingh4418 2 года назад +31

      @@unspeakablyawesomebros3392 not really. Shaq himself said that KD looked as good as he did, cause Curry distracted the defenders due to his unlimited range. That's why KD best performance has been at GSW. This is also why Wiggins who was nowhere near the top level performs second best in playoffs as well. People who have never played basketball professionally at the top level only look at the stats, it's only the top players who realise the impact the greatest 3p shooter ever has on the psyche of the opponents defenders. There are literally videos of celts double marking Curry while KD is doing a dunk. That matters.
      Don't mistake me. KD is very likely top 15 level. But some people do overrate him above Curry and that's just wrong. Even in 2018 finals Steph was averaging better than KD, and that's not including how much lanes he opens by distracting defenders off KD & the rest. Stephs shooting ability requires so much defensive resources, that it ends up elevating the play of his teammates. It may be KD or it can be Wiggins, same story. They perform better cause of Steph, and not just a little, by a lot.
      After all there is a reason why GSW with Curry remains the ruling dynasty, before with and after KD. KD's achievements without Steph just prove that. Like it or not, it was KD who needed Steph not otherwise.

    He’s between 8-10 already. In fact, the only players safe on the list are MJ, Lebron, Magic, and Kareem. Everyone else is at risk of getting passed by Steph during the next few seasons.
    (1) He’s undeniably the greatest shooter ever. He’s so absurdly good at shooting that, like Acho said, he is as dominant of a player as Shaq was (at least on offense). He’s a freak shooter in the way Giannis is a freak athlete in the way Magic had a freakish basketball IQ; it dictates the entire game.
    (2) He revolutionized the game ON THE COURT more than anyone in probably a half century. MJ and Lebron did more off the court, but they simply didn’t change the way the game was played on the court at the level Steph has.
    (3) Unanimous MVP; 2 total MVPs.
    (4) 4 rings. He was the leader for all 4 of them, he played the best on his team in at least 2 of them.

No team thought a gaurd would make a difference in a center driven Era ! I want to be like mike was no bs everyone emulated him in some degree afterwards. that's my first point . Even with another ring I don't see how you put him above kobe unless he puts in more work than just another ring . Kobe took more difficult deep mid range shots than anyone ever . First gaurd to really push distance out like that . I'm not saying curry ain't good but it's Mount Rushmore for a reason . To be fair kobe was too low on the second list and I do think curry is at 10 rn . I'm giving him 10 bc I know he has time left but I believe he stays at 10 but at best 9 . So LeBron's 4 rings are all 100, even though he left to go to Miami and join a top 5 and top 15 player, and then left when they got old to come back to Cleveland, but under the condition that he could team up with Kyrie and Love, and then he moves to LA and has to get AD in order to win a chip in the bubble. KD and the Warriors needed each other. People forget how hard the West was that the Warriors went through. And how big a rival the Rockets were to them around that time. So you can argue that the Warriors don't go back to back without KD. However you can also say that Steph has proven he can carry a team to a Championship both before KD and after KD. The same team that shut down KD and swept the Nets, and the slowed down Giannis and took away his efficiency when it mattered, had no answer for Curry who out up all time great numbers and efficiency against them.
    Acting like Steph still has to "prove" something anymore. Is just hate. Ya'll said he wouldn't get the same open looks without KD and Klay. He went and lead the NBA in scoring. Ya'll said he wouldn't ever win a championship after KD left? He did just that. Ya'll said he couldn't come up big when his team needed it the most in the Finals? He went and did that too. All the slights, Steph has personally disproven. They got nothing left. Which is why they sound like clowns.

    You can just tell from this and a few other takes on other shows, people still can't process that Steph actually has two chips without Durant now, and they are slowly starting to realize that "DURANT HELPED HIM WIN 2!" counterpoint is becoming less potent. The one guy that said "Steph used Kevin as a trampoline to get into this conversation" , doesn't realize that same take can be used to counter his own list with Durant, if reversed (Since Durant is in HIS top 10, and doesn't have a single chip if we removed Steph from his legacy) and it really doesn't help that he lost to Steph in a pretty embarrassing way before he joined.
    T-mac comes off as a little biased, he could be seeing a lot of himself in Durant, so he probably doesn't want to put Steph over him because it would inherently imply Steph is greater than him as well. (Even though he obviously is) but y'know how competitive people are.

    Yeah McGrady and Wiley are wrong. The back this Kevin Durant has not won a championship without curry. McGrady talking about Toronto but ignores the fact that to be able to have Kevin Durant on the team you had to sacrifice depth. Without having depth when you lose Kevin Durant and Thompson you didn’t have any besides the stars and that was only curry and green and they took it six games and could’ve won game six if Thompson does not tear his ACL. Curry was definitely the front runner if they would have won in 2019 let’s stop it. In 17 and 18 The defensive attention when they won the championships went to curry . They thought curry was the best player the Cavaliers coach has said as such since then I mean of course Kevin Durant would look Like the best player if he’s being single covered and wide open because they’re putting so much attention on Curry that’s not really a hard thing to figure out but so many people get wrong even former players. The fact is they had comparable stats even if Kevin Durant have slightly better stats in 17 and 18 but of course he should he was wide freaking open most of the time. I mean I’m just trying to figure it out . Curry beat Kevin Durant when they had comparable teams are he was the best player when they were on the same team and he doesn’t have a title outside of Curry but Curry‘s been to three finals and one two of them without him. If we are going to blast curry About 2016 I guess LeBron doesn’t get the excuse in 2015. We can’t have it both ways the Warriors the second half of those finals were injured. So if we are gonna talk like injuries what about Vocic games for he towards ACL he was the best rim defender and after that LeBron got what he wanted, Iggy had a bad back that Second half of the finals couldn’t guard LeBron, and Curry had a sprained MCL. Since no one wants to touch or disrupt that 2016 finals then I guess we need to have a conversation about giving credit to 2015. I have never seen one player get so much credit for being a bandwagon and bus rider. I love how we say curry recruited him when it was Draymond who wanted him and Kevin Durant wanted to go there for the easy championships. It’s not her he wanted him but Durant didn’t want to go it’s both Durrant wanted to go there and curry wasn’t gonna say no to such a great player. I find it funny that McGrady says it’s easy to win a championship in this era with another superstar but Kevin Durant had multiple superstars in the last couple years still no Championship. If it’s so easy how come Kevin Durant doesn’t have a title except with the Warriors because he’s played with Westbrook, harden ,kyrie , etc. in fact Kevin Durant has had probably the most talent he has played with of almost all time but yet he has no championship work he leads the team to a championship he had a very talented thunder team he couldn’t do it same thing with Brooklyn. It’s almost like he needed curry
