Tho The Toronto series they were scared indeed. So I give him that.
I don’t get why one of the two most storied franchises can’t just form a big 3 simply because they want to win a championship rather than because they want to beat a specific player lmao
Which teams made it to the NBA finals before the Celtics were formed? The Cavs led by Lebron and the San Antonio Spurs while the Lakers were knocked out of the first round by the Suns…I’m pretty sure the Celtics had also put together most of their team that offseason before the Lakers did so why would they be gearing up for a team that was most recently a first round knockout compared to the teams that just made the finals? I’d like for you to make sense out of that please.
Wrong.. Boston literally had the worst record in the East while LeBron was leading the Cavs to The Finals.. the Celtics and Pierce weren't getting past LeBron and the Cavs without Garnett and Allen.. Boston had to give everything they had to beat the Cavs in 7 during those 2008 playoffs.. they had to worry about LeBron before even thinking about Kobe.
I think they are both off the mark with what Shaq said. I think he is saying that like people didn’t fear him physically like they did Shaq or a Giannis because they play to their size, Lebron never really has played to that size and made himself so physically dominant that no one could stop him. I think that’s what Shaq was saying, not that nobody feared Lebron as a player.
Shannon is forgetting that the Pistons that beat the lakers in the finals had ben wallace. Ben Wallace didn’t play at all when bron beat the pistons in 2007
It's all about intangibles and perception. Kobe and Mike were highly feared for sure, they were doing more emotional and phychological damage (attitude, trashtalk, eye contact, ego, killer instinct,...). In the other hand, we have lebron with his great talent, his massive gifted body but also his friendly approach, his hilarious stories and his role model image (son, husband, father, community engagement, etc.). Nobody fear that. It's all about perception, nothing to do with talents... for many years the league was afraid from Ron artest, Bill laimbeer and Charles oakley.

The warriors closed the talent gap between them and Clevland by adding Durant. Golden state was a better team as far as the aspect of playing together and maximizing what they had. Clevland had better talent. Lebron really didn't have to defend anyone that series as his matchup Barnes played atrocious.

Tbf Curry came up short that entire series. Even in the games they won. And Curry allowing some body on him affect him so much points to his lack of mental fortitude.
That finals was about corporate branding, refs had a clear mandate to keep the big brand athletes relevant. Steph got no calls, and it was terrible basketball to watch.
Hakeem was skilled with beautiful spin moves off the postup , ball fakes , mid range juper and superior quickness. Too many weapons for Shaq. Shaq was an effective raw brute compared to the Dream....
Nobody has ever feared LeBron he doesn't have that killer instinct in him. On the other hand people feared Michael Jordan they didn't want to give him any motivation to go off, and Shaq was feared because you couldn't stop him accept for at the free-throw line.
@Cash_world23 Tell me your 12 years old without telling me your 12 years old. Nobody has ever feared LeBron he's not that type of player. @@courtlam79 since you're so wise, what does it mean when a team puts together 3 all NBA players to beat a 22 yr old with little support. That was because the two top teams in the West knew they had no chance of beating LeBron. Also the pistons didn't fear Jordan, they simply put together a game plan to win the series. The Celtics didn't fear him, (too busy sweeping him out the playoffs). Cut the media bias and use logic to think for yourself.
@henrylowery3297 Again nobody fears LeBron James he's just not built like that. It's the same way with Tim Duncan nobody feared Tim, but it doesn't take anything away from his greatness he could put up numbers. If you notice I never said LeBron wasn't a great player, but he isn't a killer on the court that's not how he plays. That Celtic team you speak of if I remember correctly Larry Bird said MJ was Jesus in disguise. Larry knew he had the better overall team, but MJ was the better player. If you take Kyrie out of that series against the 73-9 Warriors the CAVS lose. LeBron is great, but not on the level of Jordan or Shaq they were monsters at their positions.
There is a difference between acknowledging that someone is an unbelievable player and fearing someone. Listen to the players that played against Michael. They feared playing against him because he could embarrass him at any point and time. Lebron is an amazing talent and players know that any team with Lebron has (or had) a shot to win. They just don't worry about him embarrassing them.
So the Raptors never worried about LeBron beating them year after year? The Pacers and Hawks never worried about LeBron? The reason why the Warriors added KD to their team was not because they were worried about LeBron? Teams were scared of LeBron when he was in his prime, LeBron in the span of 2012-2018 was the most unstoppable player in the league.

Getting MVP's to join other MVP's in order to beat him is an indictment against any BS any player says about LeBron.
LBJ joined wade who already won a ring
@Mathias Lee Ask yourself a serious question....what does Kyrie and Love offer other than trying to score when LeBron is on the bench? They lost to GS when LeBron would go to the bench. They are 1 dimensional players. Klay can play defense and set up teammates, as well as other number 2's and 3's. They stayed hurt. 1 dimensional players add nothing to a team. @@SabatinShongweMhlaba Exactly!
“Kevin Garnett in the Hampton” 😂😂
I agree with Shaq 100%
Skip is the king of justifying his contradictions we see you Shannon lol

Skip:”hmmm”
Shannon:”they saw a 22 year old kid”
Skip:”hmm”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hakeem definitely wiped the floor with him
Like a brand new mop on a Sunday morning .
Hakeem son’d shaq
Hakeem was better than shaq
Dirk wiped the floor with lebron
Hakeem was skilled with beautiful spin moves off the postup , ball fakes , mid range juper and superior quickness. Too many weapons for Shaq. Shaq was an effective raw brute compared to the Dream....
Nobody has ever feared LeBron he doesn't have that killer instinct in him. On the other hand people feared Michael Jordan they didn't want to give him any motivation to go off, and Shaq was feared because you couldn't stop him accept for at the free-throw line.
😂😂😂 try again troll
@Cash_world23 Tell me your 12 years old without telling me your 12 years old. Nobody has ever feared LeBron he's not that type of player. Jordan and Shaq were 2 of the most feared players to ever play the game. Jordan's will to win was unmatched, and Shaq's physical dominance was unmatched. You literally know absolutely nothing about basketball.
@@courtlam79 since you're so wise, what does it mean when a team puts together 3 all NBA players to beat a 22 yr old with little support. What's that if not fear of never being able to beat him again. Or what does it mean when a 73 win team Flys out to recruit a MVP level player.
@@courtlam79how do you dominate a whole conference for a decade without anyone fearing you?
You fear an elephant but not the same way you fear a Great White Shark.
Lebron feared not having enough great players to win.
How does Lebron not embarrass people when he posterizes the entire team 💀
@@lphjustin you just named 3 weakass teams 😂😂
@@RavyToor, Michael dunked all over people but he embarrassed them by scoring at will, locking them down on defense, and taking over games.
@@sheridanclan6 Bruh I'm not dissing Jordan when I compliment Lebron 🤦. I swear bruh you can't say anything positive about Bron without Jordan dickriders crying
Shannon will go to all lengths to protect LeBron. I’m starting to think he goes harder than Nick Wright
The issue is Skip only highlights Lebrons failures but when Shannon flips the scenarios with the same narrative Skip dismisses it
Everythin he said is facts cry about it
Shannon is such a great debater bringing up straight FACTS
How many players have come out and said that they feared Lebron James? Jordan was respected and feared and that is coming from the players that he played against.
Teams scared of Lebron:
1. Raptors (2015-2018)
2. Warriors in 2016
3. Celtics (2008-2018)
Celtics ran him out of his own hometown in round 2 LMAOOO silly casual comment

Shannon leaves out that Detroit no longer had ben Wallace in 07. Their most important player when they beat the lakers in 04. Pistons were still a tough team to beat in 07 but that team was different with Ben Wallace.
Exactly! LeBron fan boys always trying to control the narrative, never telling the full story 🤣🤣🤦🏽♂️
This show gets harder and harder to watch.. It's been months since Skip actually had a good debate
Skip was there in 2007 when lebron beat those pistons. Skip is in fear.
Magic Johnson was also a nice guy but yet he was still an assassin
The Celtics didn't trade for KG and Ray specifically because of Lebron. They did it because they feared Pierce would demand a trade and also because they had been a cellar franchise for the last four years or so before. They made a move to contend for a title, which wasn't specific to Lebron. They saw the Lakers starting to make moves for Kobe so they countered because they didn't want LA to tie or pass them up in rings won.
How u just described that perfectly as LeShannon tried to make it otherwise to make Lebron look better then he is.
Exactly, Lebron made it to the finals just to get swept by the Spurs. The Celtics were definitely making moves to beat them and Kobe's Lakers
Kobe and MJ were feared. Lebron is too friendly. Hes a nice guy. He made friends with the worst enemies. Theres nothing to fear about the guy. But hes an amazing athlete. Not a killer by any means. Its not even worth debating anymore. 🧘🏽♂️
What does the numbers say,and I am a Jordan guy,but you crazy if you think LeBron isn't feared, this year alone they glad they don't have to see him as a lower seed and their a higher seed and he beats them, that would be as bad as the mavz losing to the 8 th seed warriors.
I was unaware Jordan or Kobe had actually killed anyone.
@@georgeprchal3924 exactly, killer instinct comes in many forms,no two animals hunt the same is what they don't get, some score, some reb, some pass and some play defense, but LeBron is that one rare animal that does them all well,as a unbiased Jordan guy I saw years ago what he was.
