Everyone has been hit except for the MG man. One operator is critically wounded and may not survive the Osprey flight back to the FOB. Everyone inside the building is concussed from a grenade close call. "Pretty clean!!" jk good video.
Good work! Got an AAR comment about the shotgunner debacle. One issue I have with rolling doors like the shotgunner did is particularly when there is a lot of depth and range to the room/area he's pieing off. Short rooms don't tend to have this problem. I have found there are 2 main issues: 1. If the enemy you end up seeing is far away and stationary, it takes longer for our guy, who is moving, to get on target and engage than it takes the bad guy, who may be sitting still, and thus getting an accurate shot off quicker. 2. If there are multiple hostiles across that threshold, every target our guy engages is buying time for subsequent bad guys to line up a shot on ours. In this scenario our man is fighting an uphill battle of taking down, say 3 targets, before the last one gets accurate fire on him. Unfortunately with our shotgunner hero, both of these things happened. The guy way out far braced on the couch peppered our dude while we were in the middle of engaging another target. Our shotgun had no chance of reaching that far even if given more time, due to multiple enemies being there and the fact the bad guy was simply stationary and braced. I also want to make note this isn't a problem with the shotgun. Even a carbine or SMG would struggle against the two issues I laid out above. So for what I would do differently. It's a tricky situation peeking into a very deep unknown area like that. One that I would actually opt to consume some throwables to mitigate the danger. Flashes, stingers, or frags all work here. If you do a chicken peek of the area, you are giving up the element of surprise, but you do get to see where the threats are, and can prep the room accordingly, and hope the threats don't move in the time it takes to pull out your throwables. Conversely, you can opt to just cover the entire unknown area, carpeting it with your choice of grenade before rolling the door and using the stun/surprise effect to buy your man time to line up his shots. I know I'm like years late watching this video but I just found it, thanks for the content!
