@@ChamDarkAndDarkerIt's mostly a reaction game of listening for the cue and the patterns, the wyvern usually spins after a few swipes as like a combo finisher if you're close enough

1. It must be this wipe because you can see at the end that his items are minted by other players 2. I see him claiming in another comment that yes he believes that being up in his face is what prevents the leap

@@flights9120 as long as i'm not interrupted, yeah i could. my mindset for slams is a 30 - 40 second cooldown on each slam, which is about how long it takes the wyvern to do 4 - 5 attack chains, and it stays queued until no other attacks are in progress. like how sometimes it will do a wing swipe and then slam, and how sometimes it slams as soon as you start the fight (after being knocked off or leaving)
@@heel_stee also, do you find the wyvern doing its leap move often or does it not do it cause of how close you are to the boss. gonna try and learn wyvern on rondel bard because killing wyvern this quickly is crazy
thank you, the rondel was 1.2k and the clothes were around 250 - 300 a piece but you don't need that much, except maybe a blue or epic rondel with + add is what i recommend
I used to try this method with barbarian but got sick of the rng. From that position, I can't dodge the leaps, back jump ice bolt, or slam (I end up at spear range waiting for the next slam). Also have trouble with any more than one sweep but that might be a skill issue.
I know you've answered this before, but i've been soloing him for a while now. I can solo him quite easily, but even though i'm right in his face he still keeps leaping. It's rare, yes. But it still happens like once per fight if the fight isn't as fast as i wanted it to be.
i have a few theories on why it dives, nothing concrete yet but i think it works a bit similarly to the ghost king teleport because i've found that if i stay too far for too long the wyvern will dive 4 to 5 times in a ROW, so my best advice is probably to stay as close as you can to dodge the attacks, and backing up a bit after like 3 or 4 attacks so you don't get slammed
I’m able to do everything correctly as a bard EXCEPT FOR PHASE CHANGES. Now that they removed bandage strategy it feels like RNG if the ice pillars are gonna be in a proper spot for me to avoid ice breath. Is there a consistent way to make the ice pillars go in a good place?
if you go right under it on the first ice breath you'll have enough space to survive the ice breath without dying, second phase is the easiest because if you have atleast 1 ice you can just go behind it if its not too close to it, the last one is a bit tricky but if you can get it to shoot atleast 2 ice bolts side by side you can survive the push, otherwise you can use one as like a tight rope, you have to keep adjusting yourself so you dont fall off
How do you deal with the dive? I'm trying to get this down and no matter where I am (even directly against the wyvern) if it decides to dive it is unavoidable damage
@@heel_stee yeh i've started building pdr and ignoring move speed altogether. makes for a much cheaper kit and means when you do eventually get unlucky you can recover easily
hey im replicating this on rogue and i can do wyvern consistently already but on HR i find it really hard to get to wyvern without taking damage from black skeletons while i open the door, i can proc his attack right before i go to open the door but i still dont do it fast enough. shoudl i clear the room to head to wyvern? if so will that not make me super slow to contest wyvern?
When I learn boss fights, I usually just spam the fight with common gear from the squire. That way I can really figure out all the moves and timing and my strategy without caring about dying. Sometimes I think that I need to bring in movespeed items though because when I'm actually bringing in gear to actually try and farm the boss I'll realistically have movespeed. Just wondering what your process is for learning the intricacies of the fight. Great work btw brother
Any pointers for how you are able to consistently hit the crouch jump for the tail whip? Also, for example, when you say 4-5 attack chains before a slam occurs, 1 attack chain finishes when he pauses to begin his next set of attacks right? Like let's say he does a left swipe, then right swipe, then left. Then he shoots 2 ice bolts. This situation would be 2 attack chains right?
@@heel_stee Do you jump as soon as his head starts turning to the left? Because I find that even though I delay my jump till he turns his head, I'm still jumping too early.

Will he not do the same aoe if your up in his neck?
How come he never does the dive attack while you're in his body stabbing him up?
the best wyvern kill I have seen

probably a few weeks? not as long as warlord took me to learn and master

any advice for when it dashes point blank, doesnt happen often but seems hard / impossible to dodge when it does
I have a question , why wyvern doesn’t dash when you are fighting it?
something to do with proximity i believe, i was close to it the whole fight
is there a way to tell when he is going to do the slam aoe attack
and are you crouch jumping the tail attack
every 5 attack chains it'll slam
