This is the version 2 of my wooden spotter arms. Thank you to everyone who commented on my previous design.
The new design has some of the suggested improvements, and modified a bit to fit my recent squat rack modifications.
Static weight test:
I loaded version 1 with 170kg, but pretty sure it could hold more.
I loaded version 2 with 200kg, also quite sure this could handle more Спорт
Incredibly durable design
A video of a weighted barbell falling on it would be interesting. The gusset implementation is a great addition.
Nice quick response to the first build!! Thank you! Even at static with 200 kg (440 pounds) that is only on a single arm. I bet on impact from weight drop spread across 2 arms this design will hold up very well
Such a clever design!
Very solid design. 200 kilos is a lot!
I like it
Do you have a blueprint/plan for this? I'm looking to make something similar if I can't buy some soon. Great work!
Do you have a materials list or the measurements for these? I just built a rack very similar and wanted to have some safety arms.
Sir, what's the spacing on the barbell holes? Awesome design.
Awesome Martin. Just wondering, you think using a steel pipe as a spotter arm would do the job as well?
It will work for lighter weights. The spotter arms that I've made (and many commercial ones) distribute the load with the triangle gusset underneath, to the legs of the rack.
@@martinjensen3688 ok thanks 👍
Vilket bra squatrack😀 vad har du för typ av vägg? Tänkte på hur hårt racket är fäst i väggen
You did not show how you put in the steel pipe into the spotter.
