Me still thinking I'm a beginner even after 9 years of drawing is insane ☠ Guess I just don't view my art as competent enough to get out of that category
Same here, you aren't alone. But we all must remember that we have improved alot overtime and we still have plenty of time to improve even more! So just having fun with your art is all that really matters. :D
As someone whos been drawing for about 10+ years and this is like the 3rd art tut ive ever watched, i kinda feel happy to learn abt these stuff instead of ashamed--
This is a legit question, because I'm still struggling with the mentality of art; why is it that you don't feel ashamed? Every time I watch a video like this I just hate myself.
@@MikeMozzaro well honestly, I kinda feel it in both ways, in one way I don't feel ashamed because there's always room for improvement, in the other, I also feel like a disappointment. One way you can try not to be ashamed is to understand and accept the fact that you may be slower. And it's not just you! There's an artist on yt whos been painting for 40+ years(i think) and still makes mistakes.
5:51 There is a similar way to do this for ibis paint users! • Go to filter, and press either brightness and contrast, hue saturation lightness, or color balance! :D Hope this helped! ☺️☺️
1:26 - Reminder, even the most famous artists from most countries renaissances, and other periods in time when the art flourished and was absolutely gorgeous, used REFERENCES! They had people pose for them or observed people naturally going about their day (cough cough Vermeer)
I’ve been drawing and doodling for a few years now, and I still watch beginner art tutorials because they’re so helpful! This one was actually really good, and the way you described everything was amazing. So I’ve subscribed. Because I’ve decided I really like this, silly little art channel :)
I just want to say that I never really flipped the canvas until watching this video and I cant tell you how much this actually helped me and it made it easier to realize where I was making mistakes and how to flip them. I appreciate it SO much.
This helped out alot!!! As someone who literaly cried over not being able to draw one hand to look as good as the other, this motivated me to pick up the pencil again and start drawing :) I hope you will have a great day! 💚💚💚
I randomly (accidentally) clicked this video, I was just trying to find something to watch while eating ice cream and this was the best like video of learning how to draw video ever, and you literally opened my eyes on the rendering part!!
Thank you, the rendering tut actually made sm sense to me 😭 i struggle with rendering, and studying anatomy (despite doing art for around 8 years now). No one's tutorials really help me, just because they don't explain in a way i understand fully.
Idk why I clicked on this but hopefully this helps my art improve 😅 Update: Okay this actually helped me a lot especially with the color schemes, now my art won’t look so boring!😋
For me personally using very bright random colors are very useful! It creates very unique style. But other then that note number 3 was very helpful! love it!
This was the most helpful video I’ve ever seen on rendering and digital art as a whole. I need to create a portfolio to go to Uni and this has really motivated me and inspired me to get to work on it 💚💚💚💚💚
such a good video!! would love some tips on how you render skin, or how you draw facial expressions, especially on rednering them without making them 'sit still and be pretty' and diluting the emotion. id even love a breakdown of how youve made some of your art pieces! 💚💚
THANK YOU!! I recently ordered an art tablet, as I’ve recently started to actually enjoy sketching and want to do more. This really helps me a lot and will help my art so much. THANK YOU!! :D

I have literally been drawing for YEARS now and this tutorial still helped me SO much!! There’s so many times I just don’t think about when drawing that you really helped me pinpoint!
I found your video to be really helpful. I used to draw as a kid but stopped as I got older. I’ve picked it up here and there but have stopped again due to life or not knowing where to start regarding art lessons for improvement. Your video helped me to feel more comfortable drawing again and I appreciate you sharing some of the techniques you use like references, mirrors, and figuring out where to shade 💚
Sorry, I just gotta say, you’re the BEST!! As someone who thought they weren’t a beginner anymore, I was wrong… but, your video and other videos you’ve made have been helpful, and also really great! I love your art and you’re really encouraging!! Thank you for this!
The thing I like to do to practice is trace something, look at it for a bit and try to memorise some difficult bits and redraw it with the traced one as a reference. I feel like it helps quite a bit, I would say try it out but you don’t have to!
this was absolutely so helpful! although i may be a beginner digital artist on mobile with NO experience, (digitally,) and a trashy drawing level, i think this will help SO much! thanks for all the tips, this was very beneficial:)) 💚💚
Dang, my younger self is probably already proud of me, and how much I've grown with our art, now I wonder just how amazed and grateful she is for me and the art I can improve and create with all this. Thanks, lifeline.

I've been drawing for 3 years now and I remember watching a similar tutorial when I first started! I am now realising how much easier it seems and I find myself being like "Oh yeaaaa that's how I should do it!!!" lol! Great work on the video, it was really helpful, sending love
i’ve been trying to do art for around 5+ years. everything i try looks like sh!t and i can’t understand basic things like anatomy and shading. i’ve even tried different mediums, traditional and digital. i seriously just can’t understand art at all. like i want to be good, i just physically cannot grasp how to do it, yk?

It’s great to draw cats! Some people prefer drawing different things! I agree it is easier, but for some reason I just suck at it so 🫠. I would say master drawing one thing, then another!
