As someone whos been drawing for about 10+ years and this is like the 3rd art tut ive ever watched, i kinda feel happy to learn abt these stuff instead of ashamed--
This is a legit question, because I'm still struggling with the mentality of art; why is it that you don't feel ashamed?
Every time I watch a video like this I just hate myself.
@@MikeMozzaro well honestly, I kinda feel it in both ways, in one way I don't feel ashamed because there's always room for improvement, in the other, I also feel like a disappointment. One way you can try not to be ashamed is to understand and accept the fact that you may be slower. And it's not just you! There's an artist on yt whos been painting for 40+ years(i think) and still makes mistakes.

Why does the sketch look so much better than the line art 😭😭😭
What I try to do is match the thickness of the sketch to the lineart, I also I try and make sure my hands aren't shakey, hope this helped
Then just clean the Sketch and use the it? 😭

As someone who's been drawing since I could get a pencil and paper, this is really helpful. I really don't like my own art or well struggle to look at it through lenses of someone else -- even though I can see I've semi improved through the years.
I learnt some of these things in my art classes through high school - most of these are things I actually didn't even know! Rendering is something I totally skip sometimes and don't even know how to do. So much so I was actually taking notes.
Though this is a very good tutorial, or video with tips. :) 💚

literally never knew WHY people flipped the canvas and i never felt like i needed to but having it explained why made sense and was very useful! i have been trying to flip it and still sort of struggle to see the differences but i found it useful for drawing the other eye though
