Mogg just ooze the worst of humanity, I can honestly see him backing Mosley.
We may soon get to find out.
Probably thinks Mosley was a bit "woke".
Plot twist: Hess was trying to meet Mogg when he flew to Britain. 😀
Doesn't help that they both have a similar energy about them
Well, funny you say that. In 2013, Rees Mogg was the guest of honour at a black tie dinner event at the Traditional Britain Group. This wretched group of bigots calls for immigrants and their children to be forcibly repatriated to their country of origin.
Rees Mogg later claims he did not know what TBG stood for despite being advised not to attend this event by anti fascist campaign group, Searchlight. You'd also think the name would be a warning as well.
The sooner mogg is sent home to nanny the better . What a useless waste of air
Is this Government responsible for anything, its like the last 14 years have been someone else's fault
Totally agree. The sooner jacob Rees snob goes , the better. Everyone is tired of his stupid accent. Making out he's somebody special.
As an Australian, when I first heard Jacob Rees-Moog, I thought he was a satirical character like Sir Ron Venty.
He is actually a real 'life' version of lord Snooty from the Beano, I do hear the publishers of this comic are suing him for copy of copyright...
Indeed you can’t make him up 😅
I thought he was an undertaker.
@@bertoverweel6588 Jacob Wreath Morgue 😱
Oh dont worry my partner and I want to move to Australia - Adelaide we have friends there in Brisbane and Darwin. We've had enough of the UK lies, scandals, ignorant and dumb public, racist public,, Right wing media, Brexit, MP's avoiding or answering questions because they know they they would be held accountable, Uni's molding pre MP's with debate clubs and tactics or how to act and not be honest or not answering questions directly, the corruption with Police protecting these people, this country is beyond fucked by these processes and guess what all to make it that way for any MP hold absolute power and wealth and not ever be accountable. Sodd that, were done with this shithole. Front End Developer, Birmingham.
Hasn't Rees-Mogg also complained about the independence of the judiciary ?
Is there anything he doesn't want the Government to control ?
Yes he doesn’t want government to be responsible for public services but everything else where he and his mates can get money he is happy with.
Yes his sense of entitlement !!
Please someone get a video of Moggy the second he realises he's lost.
That video would worth paying money for.
He’d be too busy whipping his servants, blaming them for the loss
Just like that train guy, Miquel Portillo. Pronounced MeeQuel Portee'o.

@@dazaaw Reet Smugg, the Dishonourable Representative for the 17th Century.
Well ,since he mainly banks anywhere but in England it doesn't cost him anything to badmouth the BoE.
Tories, more often than not, are always finding reasons to discredit & dismantle things not controlled by their greedy hands. And usually, for all the wrong reasons.
Agreed.
The mogg spewing his usual load of bollocks.
Exactly
When Mogg loses his seat 2 bottles Sherry ! 👍
Plus, a good bottle of single malt whisky.
2 pints of Sherry.

But remember to get pissed responsibly.
I'm in. This man REALLY irritates me. So, seeing him go will definitely be a cause for celebration.
I don't care what he says or thinks as long as he keeps paying his corporate taxes in Dublin.
Up the Republic, Jacob! 🇮🇪
Well said.
I went through that time the tories were in charge of interest rates.....16%. Then labour got in and gave that control to the bank of England. moggy is a swivel eyed loon.
Good evening Max and all here. Already before he blamed the former President of the Bank of England. Now he is blaming the new one. Ignorance is like this: blame the others. Not himself. So sad 😢
Has that guy *ever* said "Oops, my fault" in his life?
Only once when he missed his potty.
No.
@@josefschiltz2192 Even then he probably blamed nanny for not holding the potty where he was aiming. 😂

Tories 2016-2023: blame the EU, Brussels (sprouts), Germans, French, migrunts, poors, corgis, Labour, pandas, inflatable boats...
Tories 2024: blame the Bank of England! 😳😂😂
Tories after the GE 2024: blame the British public!
@breamoreboy yep. The plan: ‘fk everything up so badly, that when Tories lose the GE they can start blaming the new government for the fallout of their very own fk ups’
Scorched earth. That’s their plan 😔😡
EU: 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
A lot of the inflation of the 1960s to 1998 was caused by Monetary policy being run by politicians instead of an Independent central Bank.Bank of England got its Independence 1998 from Gordon Brown.
Service Sector inflation is not particularly interest rate sensitive.
The norm with this Government, blame everyone but themselves.
Well it makes a change from them blaming Labour.
Charlatan! to use one of your favourite words Max !
And “aaargghh” … There you have it! 😅
Mogg disliked Mark Carney who was a far better Governor of the BoE than Bailey.
Bailey was Mogg's chosen replacement and, according to some, is a brexiteer. Mogg never takes responsibility and always blames others. Look at Mogg's disgraceful comments on Grenfell or partygate being "fluff" or, how he decided to take a nap on the front bench during a debate. Mogg's record as a minister, in my view, shows he is lazy and is a talker. Time is running out for Mogg - the election is getting closer. The by-elections demonstrates no tory seat is safe.
Strangely it’s not the EU anymore…
I believe Jacob Rees-Mogg works for Darth Vader.
I'm not sure Vader is that bad 😊
I think he works for Jabba the Hutt
@@dantownsend4246 Boris Johnson?? 😂
I think you'll find it's actually Herr Klaus Scwabenbender .
Call me funny but the less the government has to do with the Bank of England the better, given the government's track record when it comes to the economy.
If the BOE should have its independence reviewed, then maybe his tax affairs and parliamentary seat must be reviewed.
Blame Canada !
😂 excellent, though lost on most I suspect.
If you don't want the NHS vote conservative or reform
what a mighty waste of time and oxygen this poor excuse for a man is
Blame everyone but themselves, basically.
“Don’t blame yourself. Blame me!” 🤣
Mogg has more credibility when he's commenting on different types of milk! The man's just comic without being funny.
I'm still waiting for the tories to tell us their plans.... or are they just sit around and wait for things to get better?
To the contrary, The Tories are busier than ever, they only have a short window left in which to line their pockets one last time before they are roundly ousted. They need to grasp as much money as possible for the already wealthy by reducing income tax, ensure as many government contracts for all their many cronies are signed and sealed, destroy any incriminating documents, delete all their WhatsApp messages, and leave Britain's coffers as empty as they can for their successors in No.10 to inherit. Not to mention that, even when no longer in office, they will be spending a massive amount of time in enquiries over further scandals that will no doubt come to light. That's quite a bit to get sorted between all the Westminster lunches and bar trips, there's just not enough hours in the day.
Hes right the bank of England transfered the country's taxs to the tax free havens on behalf of all members of parliament
In 97 the saying went " You up for Portillo. This time round. We're you up for JACOB!!

Agreed Well said Max ❤
So the BoE is to blame for the state of the Economy?! Can’t wait to see this Mogg out
Four years after Brexit, the British are still waiting for the benefits......
Can't he just go back to knapping in the background
Jacob Rees-Mogg, the man only a nanny can love, if compensated enough.
Mogg is like dog dirt on your shoe, no matter how hard you wipe that shoe on the grass, you can never get rid of the stench.
It would be immensely satisfying if the 17th century undertaker was to lose his seat come the election. He is a blot on humanity.
If the BoE hadn't been independent, they wouldn't have acted promptly to save the pension industry from the effects of the Truss mini-budget.
When everything went pear-shaped, Kwarteng's reaction was "more of the same," not an acknowledgement of the effects his statement had, nor especially any action to provide a remedy.
The country needs an independent BofE.
Politicians, especially those driven by an ideology, cannot be trusted.
i am not sure that the tory don't want to control the Bank of England, so they can not criticize from them
Hi Max & all Here ❤
We all know what neeeeeeds removing…
If this was brought through, it would also be one more obstacle to the UK re-connecting with the EU in many ways!
More waffle from this moonlighting Mp
The bank of england did not have the tools to deal with the current type of inflation
The BoE gained independence under Labour in 1998. Interest rates under the Tories spent most on the 1980's in double figures. The lowest it ever was in the 80's was around 7.5%. Financial Corporations and particularly banks were raking in money almost faster than it could be printed. JRM can only dream of such profits and that's the only reason why he would want to see the BoE under Government control. Especially Tory Government control.
Blame the bank? The same people who just made HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of pounds in bonuses for, presumably, excellent job performance after Torries fought so diligently for those capless bonuses?
Funny how they haven’t blamed the BoE until now 🤣almost like they’ve ran out of scapegoats to point the finger at
JRM has gotten out of his petri dish again😂
Would love to see him play the most famous scene in Scanners.
man lax integrity and empathy (in my opinion)
It's not just about looking for blame this time. Mogg's end goal has always been that no other institution but Whitehall holds any power in this country - whether that be EU bodies, the courts, devolved institutions or the central bank.
The BOE manages the Monetary policy and it is up to the Govt to manage the Fiscal one. The failure is the fiscal policy.
Rees Mogg cares about one person only.
If the electors North Somerset return Mogg again I think that would be enough reason for the invasion of Somerset and to put it in special measures with direct control from Brussels.
I can only manage an expression of strained credulity whenever this man opens his mouth.
Would like to point out it was Boris who appointed this particular man incharge of the bank of England, and basics said, "Let it rip!"
Cant wait to see that report!
I thought inflation was coming down, which is the responsibility of the BOE, although the government are trying to take the credit! I do not understand what point JRM is trying to make, but then again I fail to see the point of JRM anyway!
Is it not true that the current 'independence' of the BOE 'mandates them to support the economic policies of the government of the day' [Wikipedia] - so now it's the government that's free to inflict austerity without ever having to explain, regret or apologise' [Hawtrey]?
No doubt they're all in it together though?
If anyone knows about incompetence it's him
The use of right honorable in this place is an insult.
What an utterly pointless individual!!
This government is the country's biggest 'drag' on any improvement for this country.
That voice!😬Like nails dragged down a blackboard!
One thing that is pleasing about Mogg’s speech to the House is that it’s being done from the backbenches.
Raising interest rates did absolutely nothing to curb the recent inflation rise because it was driven by supply-side issues (primarily the price of oil and gas) and not demand-side issues (people with too much money to spend pushing up prices). Inflation came down of its own accord simply because the big energy price increases were not repeated and instead began to fall. I don't think the Bank of England wanted to put interest rates up because they knew this, but they caved under Tory pressure to be seen to be doing something. All higher interest rates have done is to push the UK economy into recession by further squeezing the consumer, which was entirely predictable when about 80% of the economy is made up of the service sector.
Wow sunak will be surprised to hear it isn't any plan of histhat causes inflating to go down
Easy to see the writing on the wall if Parliament is empty like here.🙂
They are all out at interviews..... 😂😂
Moggs Brexit .
Moggy is suggesting that the British government should expand to control the bank of England.? What happened to small government and free enterprise?
Hold on a minute. Sunak says Labour hasn’t got a plan. The treasury spokesman is talking about Labours plan. We can see the deflection as Rees Mogg’s question was about the Bank of England and the spokesman is talking about Labours plan. Did I mention that the Conservative speaker says Labour has a plan.
Max, OMG in modern parlance, is the tone I'm aiming for, It was the tories that had to have an independant BoE, got what they wanted, and now RM is throwing babies over his shoulder, as he rushes for a lifeboat seat,
The creep will blame anyone
this torybed man is better staying at home he a waist of space and he is going to loos his set to the next G,E HES GONE
I think, if the tories had done/were doing anything right we would have noticed.
I've noticed a lot of scandals, lies and thieving, but nothing right.
It’s never their fault. 🤢🤮
Weres his horse and trap😂
They do act quickly. Remember when they had to jump in and pour 40 billion into the economy to prevent damage from the Liz truss kamikwasi budget.
Mystic Mogg who predicted cheaper food, clothing and footwear on leaving the EU
Haven’t they robbed the BOE already?
But it’s than Bank of England responsibility to keep inflation down with interest rates
This is the man who has stated brexit is a success for yhe uk but moved his business to dublin a true english man but not that true when tax is involved like many in the uk labour need to sort out our tax system to many evade paying tax at the correct rate just like everybody pays paye sunak example 23% captial gains on investments off shore trusts etc royals also they whole system of tax is corrupt to the core.
It’s not Labour or the people coming over in boat’s fault today it’s the Bank of England 😂😂😂 who’s fault will it be tomorrow?? 😂😂
The first, the key step in changing is to admit you are going down the wrong path. Mogg will never do that as he "Knows" he is always right.
He was taught that at Eton.
How I loathe this nasty self satisfied Brexiteer Tory.
Classic Narcissistic approach...blame EVERYBODY but never take responsibility 😮 if there is a heaven and hell I suspect/hope that Jakob Reeks Smugg will be heading to warmer climates 😂
Perhaps if governments didn’t crash the economy then perhaps the interest rates wouldn’t have had to go up!
Hang on Jacob... I thought it was your parties "plan" to reduce inflation......
The Torygraph has been his mouthpiece on this. Tail wagging the dog again.
I thought the rule was if inflation goes up it is the Bank of England’s fault and when it comes down it is because of what the Government does😉
We are supposed to be Global Britain. That means we should understand that global inflation is not created by the UK , and is not solved by the UK.
The haunted pencil.
JRM off to the HoL to cause more mayhem.
Still billions £££ there for Ukraine...
I would agree with JRM that int rates should have gone up earlier and come down a little recently. As to the treasury changing inflation - well they could have cut VAT on fuel and VAT on other goods ( filling the gap with small income tax, likewise more income tax and less on council tax
The Tories really are running out of scapegoats now, what next? Leaves on the track? The wrong kind of snow? Somebody put Diazepam in Moggs Nannies Horlicks..?
Just listening to JRMs droning voice would be enough to tranquilise an elephant!
Jacob Rees bloody Mogadon.
So the party opposite have a plan🎉 that’s the first time I heard them acknowledge labour has a plan.
OK, we are so far into an interesting place that Tories attack The BOE.
Wish somebody tell us , what’s the Tories plan .
