  • Ian Paisley the DUP MP it seems called SNP MP Steven Bonnar an "antisemite" towards the end of his rant in the House of Commons on Wednesday. The North Antrim MP got away with it because the Speaker of the House didn't hear it...

Years ago I was speaking with an old soldier who was sent to NI right at the beginning of the British army on operations there. He absolutely hated the DUP, as a British Church of England protestant man, this was (roughly) what he said.
"We were sent there because of the Protestants and they way they treated the Catholics. The police would do nothing or blame the catholics for every attack. The government lost their rag and sent in the army because of these nasty people, not all of them just the ones in power staring up the hornets nest. Unfortunately we got there, I wasn't even 20 at the time, and they thought we'd come to stamp out the catholics and the catholics thought that too. Bad business and sad times, I blame those morons for all the deaths and heart ache created and the sad thing is only God will judge them but by then its to late for the rest of us"
That's when I found out why the British army was stationed in NI, and they're still up to their old tricks
