i would recomend cutting the rear shock mounts on the swing arm and moving them lower. it cuts back the excess droop so ur chains tension is less slop at droop. plus it alleviates the "buck" from the rear on jumps. did this mod to my bike. totally changed the handling charastics and function for the better. plus itll save ur next motor. bike looksslick btw.
Wow that didn't even take long nice love the matching helmet. Did you just get the same 125cc engine back in it? I have an atv i found in a ditch for free with the same brand engine 110cc and my chain has jammed the front sprocket so many times and it is still fine but it is automatic. I'll try to get one set up. Thanks 😁 I bought a new engine from powersportsmax that has the exact same specs as the stock one that comes in the x-pro storm 125cc, so my tbparts topend will work with it. I put the chain back on and rode for a while , but it was making a weird ticking noise and then when riding in 1st it would lock the back wheel and die. Then the kickstart would get stuck. I was able rock the bike back and forth in gear then kick it over again , but it would repeat what happened previously... It was crazy. Luckily, everything worked out. As long as I don't get hurt I'm happy. I'm blessed that it didn't cause me to wreck and thankful for all the contacts I've made to replace stuff when it breaks.
@@MartinRacingChannel I hope you figure out what it is and hope the engine lasts by chance how much was the engine? I'm looking for one for my atv since my compression is like nothing because i ran it without knowing the air filter was see through
Hey, i have seen quite a few people now who murdered a motor with a broken chain. Do you think a good aftermarket chain would be a good 2nd or 3rd upgrade?
@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors The chain upgrade is definitely a good idea. I would suggest making a chain tensioner. I did that a few weeks ago, and it has helped tremendously. My best advice would be to check your chain tension every time you ride. I made the mistake of not adjusting my chain before hitting a lot of jumps and regret not taking the time to make sure it was fine before riding and in between riding at the track. I make sure to check it always now.
@MartinRacingChannel right! Well like I said I saw others say the same! So lube and cleanings will happen! I'm thinking about getting a renthal gold 420 chain, you have suggestions?
@TummyGuhnz The kit you need is the 141cc kit from tb parts I believe. You need to measure your cylinder and check your cam sprocket teeth. I ended up using the 78mm cylinder with the piston for it, the v2 head, 32 tooth cam sprocket, and the cam that comes in the kit. The reason I say 138cc is because when you do the math, it measures 138cc. Kinda confusing, but it's because the 54x54 engine is a little different than most of the other Chinese clone engines.
I don't believe so. The first time was because I had the wrong cam sprocket and turned the engine over. This caused the timing to jump, and the piston hit the valve, which caused it not to seat right... then it was all downhill from there. The 2nd time I built the engine, it ran great with no issues. The reason I had issues with the transmission is because the rear axle bolt had become worn without me realizing it. This caused me to have to adjust the chain after about 10 laps on the pitbike track. The chain looked and felt right when hitting the track, but I hit a table top in 3rd gear about 3/4 throttle when landing the chain had come off and it got tangled in the front sprocket. This caused the transmission to be all messed up. The engine still runs ... I plan to put the topend back on the new engine. I bought a crf110 and have been restoring it, so I just have been riding the x-pro with the stock engine.
Thanks!
You're welcome.

I'll have to take a look at doing that. Thanks for the idea. Thanks for the compliment. I think it looks Wicked now!

I actually bought a new project minibike for the channel last week. I'm excited to start on it, too!

Hopefully, you'll get a crew to ride with you soon. If you're ever in Louisiana you'll have to let me know.

@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors Don't forget lol
It can be a huge mistake 😏
At least my mistakes can help others 😁

@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors that's a good chain I got the rk brand gold chain. I'm now running a Coppin Sting jet fuel chain.
Did the BBK have anything to do with the bike going 💥?
If you can help me with that info that would be wonderful. I got a grom clone and the bore size on my bike is 54x54mm which 138 kit did you get ?
