    I figured this out on my sink drains after getting pissed off and realizing something was holding them down so I looked underneath sink and saw this. I don’t know who would make such a drain, to me it’s ridiculous. I’m curious if they make plugs for that extra hole in the drain pipe if you wanted to put a different stopper in that’s not connected. Thanks for posting.

    That actually worked for me. I had that little thing under the sink. And it was like stuck in there like literally plunged in there. And there was no way to get it out so I opened it. I grabbed a makeup brush. I put the makeup brush in the hole. And I started touching it because I could feel it and I pulled it up and it worked

    2 questions:
    First: how do I remove the bottom of the sink so that I can access the mechanisms?
    Second: do I need to turn off my mains water supply before attempting this?

    • @Mojo32
      @Mojo32 Год назад

      No you don't need ro turn off water supply to remove the drain stopper as shown in this video.
      Which mechanisms are you referring to? Something different than what he shows in this video?

    • @myplumbinghero8906

      You have to thread the tip of the pin in to the loop at the bottom of the pop up as you re-insert both in the drain.

    NOW drop the stopper back in and it still works. Only need to lock it in there if it's a sink in a restaurant and you don't want it stolen.
