I sympathise with this drastic approach. I had one of these completely jammed solid. All these nice tips about WD40, rubber gloves, tape, suction cups, dental floss... ha, yeah, no. Couldn't budge it. I got down under, took off the U-bend placed the head of chisel against the underside of the plug assembly and whacked the other end with a hammer. Sorted. Then I took the whole thing out, chucked it in the trash and went and bought a good old fashioned rubber plug. These things are infernal, over-designed pieces of crap and I'll never have another one as long as I live. I mean... what's wrong with the old rubber plug? It does the job, right? And there's absolutely nothing to go wrong with it! Modern life is rubbish...
Thanks for sharing - very extreme drilling it though. I just watched a video and they used a glove just like yours and used it to put friction on the plug and unscrewed it anti-clockwise
Did stages 1 and 2 and worked a dream. Didn't have to drill the plug as I got a pin on the edge of the plug and released it by gently knocking it in the side and moving the plug away from the seal
Use a plummers plunger to pull the valve up by using a quick pull up and the valve will come up and you do not need to drill. Alternatively you can undo the s bend and use a screwdriver from underneath to push the valve up. You may need a slight blow with a hammer.
Lol, that’s a bit drastic to use a drill, I found doing the first part and then swearing profoundly at God and his merry little elf’s worked its magic ! ( alternative suggestion,it worked for me ! ) 😉😁

I will try this maybe because my sink is fancy and sealed into the wall so I can’t access the pipes and suction cups don’t work for me, thank you.
No need to drill. Just use a small silicon suction cup to pull up or turn anti-clockwise to remove the stopper cover.
Sorry I didn’t see the next posting. My bad.

Just use vacuum cleaner if you are sure that water isn’t clogged ..
Спасибо! Помогло.
Push up from underneath
Absolute star...thank you...this got mine out..

Che genio😮😮
Noooooooo ..... you don’t need a drill. Did you really try hard to unscrew it ?
Yeah tried hard to unscrew it.
What's new dip?Water out is a waste of time
I may try this....my stopper just doesn't move. Just drill it
out and replace it after removing sludge and a toothbrush.
Fish Gazoo try this. ruclips.net/video/puPE4RJCFh8/видео.html
I hate these plugs
Sunny Mad sorry for that I try to do this in a different way.
Thanks
Watching this video is like watching paint dry. Is this a joke???
What un idi.! I used the tape , hold the tape down in one thump and twisted with the other hand. Removed it in 10 seconds.
Skywalker1 hi how do you use the tape to remove?
Great idea! Just tried it and stopper popped up!. Thanks
Sometimes these things get so thoroughly jammed that this sort of solution just doesn't cut it. Trust me on this...
Gorilla tape worked for me. Just put some tape on the plug and pull it up
I just hit it with my screw driver and the stopper popped up...it funny but true
I got mine out in 1 second, using some duct tape.
