How to Reset the Tripometer of Your E-Bike? - Clearing a Trip Meter of an Engwe Electric Bike

- I am going to show you, how to reset the trip meter of your e-bike.
It took me a while to figure it out, so I hope this video is helpful to you.
My bike is Engwe C20 but the method I show you would apply to most other e-bikes too.
First, you need to access the P-menu. For that, press and hold the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons for a couple of seconds.
Now, you need to enter the password to enter. It’s not required for every e-bike.
The funny part is that the manual of the display says the password is 1212. But it’s not. Believe me, I tried.
The real password is 1818.
You can change the numbers using the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons and the ‘i’ button to enter.
Now, you have the access to the menu.
In the first layer, we have settings for trip distance, backlight, and units.
To change the trip distance, press the ‘i’ button to enter.
Then, we have 2 options - ‘y’ means ‘yes’, and ‘n’ means ‘no’.
If you want to reset the trip distance, select ‘yes’ using the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons.
After that, confirm your choice by pressing the ‘i’ button.
Then, if you don’t want to change other settings, long press the ‘i’ button to exit.
And that’s it. As you can see, the trip distance is 0, while the odometer remained the same.

Sorry I was wondering how do I also reset the odometer? Or do I not have to worry about it hitting max?
You don't have to worry about it. The odometer is there to show the overall mileage of the bike and you should not reset it.

I only ride using throttle but that is not legal in my country

@@lonl No, you can't change the pedaling from the menu. There might be some mechanical problems with the gearing system. Bike mechanic will tell you more.
