Can’t wait for more people to try different 9a boulders! Love hearing/seeing the updates! 😊
soo Alex thinks its a 9b bc it took less sessions then other 9b+ s, but what if he is just getting stronger and thats why it took less attempts??🤯
Can't rule it out, although the gains are probably a lot more marginal at the top end.
@mtbeni:
I think your comment is pure speculation. Alex can estimate himself and his personal increase or decrease in strongness way better than a guy like you, who has never ever seem him.
Alex, La Dura Dura is calling now!?!? LFG!!!
I’m not sure what state it’s in after the fire a few years ago 😓
I'm not glad he downgraded, I actually feel a little sorry for Cris
I guess it's worth reiterating that it's a proposed downgrade. Subsequent ascents will confirm whether or not it is indeed 9b or 9b+.
Ghisolfi l ha fatto incattivire sui gradi 🤣🤣🤣
Just a little update on climbing in Australia 👌 Tom O'Halloran completed his project Hump of Trouble 👍 His video of the accent is worth checking out 👌
climbing seems like a lot of bulgarian figure skating judge sometimes
Trying to establish a single grade i think is kind of an ego thing. The route should be consider between the range (9b/b+), it’s that simple for me.
As of now, the consensus is 9b/+. One climber believes it is 9b+, the other 9b
Maybe that’s the answer for the time being. In time, with further repeats, the grade will become refined and (hopefully) a whole lot clearer.
@@ukclimbingofficial I predict Ghisolfi and jorge will have some ideas about the grade soon
As a 6a climber i fell like it should be a 9a, just because i dont like sharma.
What! Sharma is an absolute legend! A contender for the GOAT.
Maybe you should just take up Stamp collecting and stop climbing with a comment like that.
@@Sparky210-11 maybe you should take everything super serius. Really seams to work for ya dont it.
Uhm, am I the only one that thinks that Alex comment about Chris being over 40 and having 2 kids (not sure why that matters in terms of his shape but okay) and still being able to climb 9b (so for sure not 9b+) is a little bit on the toxic side?
As someone just under 40, also has 2 kids, amd also runs a business I found the comment hit home, because I can tell you with absolute certainty that none of the above make climbing any easier 😅
I totally get that being a father and having a busy job can indirectly affect performance based on the fact that a day has only 24h. Its just that plenty of top (male) athlethes manage to do just fine and I wonder if anybody assumes that e.g. Adam Ondras performance must suffer now because he became recently a father? Sure, being of a more advanced age (for a climber) is a different story. And it IS very impressive what Sharma is still able to do. I just wish Alex wouldn't have used 9b, but said something more genereal, which wouldn't have implied that 9b is seemingly the limit for Sharma.
Megos grading is garbage so who cares. 😂
