    This video was very informative and useful. I appreciate the time you put into it.

    Nice video. I put these on my ‘93 recently. Had all the same “problems” - had to drill out the sleeves on the rear shocks to get the bolt through and there was no nut for the front brake lines. I only got 1 spanner wrench in my kit. Hard to lock em down with only one… I was super disappointed with the ride height. Nowhere on GAZ does it say this will lower your truck, it will lower your truck, especially in the front and you’re going to have to remove a leaf to even it out and to get the rear shocks to work properly. The rear shocks and coilovers are not as long as stock. I didn’t remove or change and leafs but in order to get the rear shock on I had to compress the bed of the truck. But then you have no sag in the shock… anyway. Body roll is completely gone (#250 springs as well) and it doesn’t seem to bottom out as much but the ride is still super harsh. Could just be the roads here, which are like off-roading at times. I started with the dampening at it’s quickest like you did but ultimately went couple clicks in from the slowest setting and it seemed to smooth things out. Still adjusting things every week. Looking for that magic setting for these roads.

      thanks this is the information i was looking for. I've seen fb posts of these coilovers and most are slammed. Im looking to keep it same height or maybe 1" more if anything.... Doesnt really make sense to lower a mini truck that's already low to the ground imo. I will just change the stock spring on my stock shocks and call it a day it seems like.

      @@DonJulio4649 They will do a custom length. I saw someone get ones that are 40mm longer. It's around $100 more I think. I just made a front lift that's 1.5 inches and it's spot on. Truck is level again. @odd.devices on the gram. I can send pics. I would have rather just spent the extra $100 though.

      @@odd-devices sorry for late reply. I rarely login. That’s interesting to hear. I will definitely want the longer ones that will raise them a little higher. Do you have links to that ?

      I'm a little confused with what you were saying. What would happen if I leave the leaf springs as they are?

    I got these for my acty van and noticed my steering got really tight after installing. Any suggestions?

    It doesn’t look like you put the needle bearing back in on the front coil overs. That’s probably why you have spring noise

    What's the benefit of using the GAZ system versus using the 275lb Summit Racing coils for the front and the Monroe springs in the rear?
    Also do you have an exhaust on your acty? It sounds nice during your test drive

    Where do you buy these trucks and is it hard to get the parts?

  • @HBlakeH

    I just installed mine on my 1990 ACTY and the fronts seem to make a lot of noise when the truck moves up and down. Yours doesn't seem to make the same noise?
    You mention at the end to tighten the nut on the top of the front shocks all the way down, did you really tighten down the entire threaded potion on the top of the damper? Its definitely difficult to get it all the way down with the limited amount of space for a wrench.

    You think I can actually raise the Acty with these at max height?

    • @jdmgems
      @jdmgems  11 месяцев назад

      No. At max height it’ll still be lowered than stock

    I'm having some issues with my 1999 Asia Towner (daihatsu hijet) when I'm doing 100 kmh on the dashboard it shows 45 mph on the GPS. The tires recommended for this truck are 155-80r12. I want to know if 13 or 14 would fix my problem 🤔
