I'm glad I found this video, the dealer I was going to take my truck to to get my fog lights installed told me that there's a bunch of wire splicing and how complicated it is etc. Now I'm going to chew them out.
Great video I bought the oem kit but most of the wires were already done so I only needed the dash switch and fog lights but I need a part number for the wire harness that goes from the headlights to the fog lights any chance you can help out 2019 Silverado
The wire harnesses featured in these installation videos were developed by us to accommodate a plug and play install of the hardware. Unfortunately there isn't a part number to provide. We do not sell the wire harnesses or individual components separate from the complete plug and play kits that we offer. It is our company's policy only to sell this upgrade as a complete plug and play package. This allows us to reliably stand by our products as well as giving our technical support team the ability to fully trouble shoot all individual component included in this upgrade package.
When installing wire in BCM brown connector pin 10 , you need to move the RED wire lock on the connector back to properly install the terminal and then move the lock back to closed position. Outside at the GREEN fuse block connector, the white pin locking tab needs to be pulled out of the connector to properly install terminals B3 and C3 then reinstall the white terminal lock to prevent backing out. That's why your having to use a pocket screwdriver to FORCE IT past the lock.
Well, I lucked out. I replace the switch with the one that has the fog light on it and then I turn the switch on and a green light showed on the dash and I heard a relay click under the hood so I tracked it down and there it was a 10 amp fuse next to the relay so I brought the wire harness up from the lights attach it to the fuse side of the 10 amp and that was it. 2021 Classic.
So I did the installation and will be taking it somewhere to get it programmed. The only “issue” I ran to was wires already inplace on C3 and B3. I skipped C3 and unpinned the existing B3. Put everything together and now when I press the fog light button, my running/parking lights turn on and off with it. I noticed this happens when Auto light control is off. Any ideas why? I’m hoping when it gets programmed right it’ll stop.
@@franke6510 Unfortunately I didn’t. The dealership didn’t want to program it. I say want because their reasoning was lame imo. They asked if it was professionally installed and I said, “I installed it myself. It was pretty simple as I followed the forum instructions and the lights turn on. I just need it programmed to turn on with the fog light button” but they refused. They said, they’d have to undo my work and install their dealer fogs even though my part number is the same. They said since I bought it online it may not be the right wiring harness… they didn’t even take my paper with the programming code, they just looked at it and gave it back. I wasn’t too upset, I just ended up wiring it to one of my aux switches by the EBrake (P) button. So now, my fog lights stay on with High beams unlike factory set up. As for the fog light button, I don’t mind that it’s a second parking light button. I’ll probably experiment with the original B3 wire that was already in place to see if the current fog light button stops turning on the parking lights. Excuse my yapping 😂

However this does require dealer programming. * Dealer Programming Required * - Included with our kit is a vehicle specific authorization code which will allow your local G
M dealer (or local mechanic with a GM ACDelco programming subscription) the ability to add the “T3U : Lamp Frt Fog” RPO code to your truck’s VIN attributes.
